I had a good time playing and think that it is a really solid submission. It's got a really good vibe, and fun mechanics. It felt nice to play and I had fun. Good game!

One of my favourite submissions. I couldn't finish it since I want to rate more games before deadline, but I will absolutely will when I have the time. Such cool concept and aesthetics. It takes an experienced storyteller to convey the world building only from dialogues of characters with different perspectives. The graphics and gameplay are really add to the immersion. Just an awesome game.

A great idea and great execution; the visuals are amazing, and the music fits perfectly as well; I’m a huge jazz fan, so it’s a plus for me; the gameplay is pretty good; the writing was great; and the driving game was just right so we could pay more attention to talking to the passengers. Overall, good job! :D

Wow this game is really good

I'm happy I got around to trying this one. It's really good, and it feels really polished for a 10 days jam!! You've captured the taxi driving perfectly with having to pay attention to both the "road" and the passengers. The writing and the art are an excellent match too. My only complaint is a bug where the arrows are out of the canvas if I play at fullscreen.

Oh goodness, I loved your game so much! I especially loved the multitasking aspect, it kept me super engaged and ready for anything, haha~ I also love that for the passenger portraits, they all had one specific colour + item that defined them, it was super interesting and fit in with the created aesthetics so well~ This was such a fun game and you got so much content into it given the time constraints! Very well done!!

I've not seen anything else like this! Extremely original game with great writing and a perfect use of the theme in multiple ways. It's sometimes hard to appreciate the writing when I'm so focused on not missing the arrows, but I really like how this game came together overall. Excellent job!

beautifully crafted game, I enjoyed collecting souls ^^

Just echoing everyone else, this is such a cool concept! Found it challenging to multitask but that's the fun of it. One comment I'd have is to maybe keep the text & dialogue boxes in a more consistent place. If this is part of the difficulty though, I understand.

Wow really impressed with how much you got done in 10 days! Love the concept, I really think it's got legs and you could develop it into a full game. I'd definitely play it! The writing was great (I knew I was in for a treat after "Our roads are paved with good intentions"), and you absolutely nailed the moody noir aesthetic.

I would've preferred just to click the driver's responses rather than having to click through each line of conversation, I think it incentivises dialogue skipping otherwise, and the dialogue is one of the best parts!

I love this though! Great work

Love the game, how you have to focus on the gameplay and the dialogue at the same time. Didn't get the correct suspect but definitely gonna replay.

Splitting your attention like that is interesting, I'd hate to see this at higher difficulty levels, id probably be screaming at my passengers. Good job on the game

Very unique - sadly I got stuck 2 times 2km away from destination with Baymon in the boot....
Love the style - but I would also like if you could "advance the text" not just clicking and it disappears but clicking once and all is there too read. waiting for the lines to appear while waiting for the Arrows to drop is a little frustrating but I also didn't want to just skip

Am I the only "Don't talk to me while I am driving" kind of person? XD Definitely an interesting concept, nice work.

unique take for the theme. really love the concept. will try to keep silent in taxi next time...

This was really cool! it seemed realistic in terms of trying to focus on driving while also keeping up with conversation. well done.

Very classy! It set the mood well and never strayed from it, there's a good sense of a larger world that exists outside our taxi full of people and demons going about their daily lives. I expect a lot or maybe all of the characters are references, but I only caught The Devil Went Down to Georgia because I'm not very cultured.

My results were 132 soul coins and I did identify where the soul gem had gone, though I'm not one hundred percent sure it was right to disclose that information. I may also have lost my immortal soul, and on the very first turn...

I think dividing the player's attention between dialogue and a rhythm game is a great way to simulate the multitasking of driving a car and carrying on a conversation. I'm super bad at multitasking, by the way!

A couple of notes, the falling arrows were skewed to the right for me instead of landing on top of the indicators, which I can at least use as an excuse for every miss I made. Also the text jumps a round a lot when it's being written out, I suspect this is because you've set it to be centered in the box rather than aligned to one side, though I'd also understand if you wanted it to display that way. ALSO! I was hoping I could pick incorrect destinations for my passengers and see what would happen when they showed up at the wrong place, but that's really just a random thought on my part.

Really, really well done!

Wow, thank you for such detailed feedback. I'm glad you caught one of the references : )
I did think about letting you take the passengers elsewhere too. One of those humans in particular could have done with a trip into the fire but sadly ran out of time. Thanks for playing!

Neat idea!

Really cool game. The story fits the theme; the mechanic fits the theme; this game has theme out the wazoo, so big points there if you ask me. I liked how there were mixed in bits of world-building, humor, and a little over-arching story. My personal favorite passenger was the demon going to the school; good design (all around really), and great humor there.

If I had a criticism, it was that sometimes I felt too split between the text and little rhythm game, when what I personally wanted to do was be able to take in the text a bit more. While there is something fascinating about making me frantically pick dialogue options, I think there could be some balancing there. There's probably a sweet spot somewhere that would've been impossible to find with the limited amount of time.

Overall, however, I loved it. Good vibe, cool world, fun game.
