Of course! I was being a dummy. Went back and played it through to the end, now I'm sad! Beautiful game though, I loved it

Really enjoyed this! The first time the skull came round the corner was terrifying. Love the idea of progressing a year each step forward.

Great work!

Thanks for playing! Glad you thought so :)

Had a lot of fun with this. A slow speed crash with a lamp post that ends with the taxi exploding never stops being funny.

Great work!

Thanks so much for playing and the kind words!

I'm a sucker for a horror game and you built the suspense nicely! Was going to say I wish there was sound but I'm quietly glad there wasn't, that final note was terrifying. If I'd heard his footsteps as he chased me it might have been too much!

Great work!

Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words, loved your game!

Really loved this! The central mechanic of switching characters to do more damage to certain enemies is fantastic, and the combat felt really responsive. Dodging out of the way of the boss's attacks felt great.

Good work!

Wow! Absolutely blown away by how much you got done in the time!

Kept expecting the 2D to 3D transition to bug out somehow but it never did, well done on the execution of that!

Great work!

Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words! Really pleased that it resonated for you!

Really enjoyed this! As everyone has said it is incredibly difficult, but it's mechanically sound and a really interesting challenge having to take a leap of faith!

Great work!

Thanks so much for taking the time to play, much appreciated!

Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words! Love that you had such a positive experience with it!

Completely agree on the lack of consistency with some of the images, I'm sure with a little more Midjourney know-how I could've made it work, the technology is incredible, but had to make do with what I had in the end. Likewise with Dylan's animation, I'm sure there's a way to get Midjourney to create a few frames of the same animation, but I couldn't make it happen. Would be really interested to see if other people are able to create basic spritesheets with it.

Really pleased you enjoyed it though, thanks again for taking the time to play!

Wow this was stunning! Unfortunately I didn't get to play very much as I seemed to be unable to hand in the snowman parts to mum!

Nobody else seems to have mentioned it so it must be something to do with my system, which is a shame because I really wanted to see the rest of it!

The art style is beautiful! I particularly loved stepping between the pages to get to different sections of the level, that was a nice touch. Great music and engaging gameplay from what I saw (loved the snowball fight).

Really impressed, great work!

Wow, absolutely blown away by how much you got done in the time! Loved the switching dimensions mechanic, and it felt great to control, particularly love double tapping the directions to dodge.

Great work!

Thanks for playing and for the kind words, much appreciated!

Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words!

I loved this! Can't believe how much you got done as a team of one!  Really impressed that you had secret areas and shortcuts on top of everything else. Did find myself stuck at the first hurdle (the gate) for a long time, so maybe a few more environmental hints at where the gap is would've helped, but I'm nitpicking.

Great work!

Thanks so much for playing! Haha yes he seems safe enough for now, but let's not risk feeding him after midnight...

Appreciate the kind words, and completely agree about the subtitles. Would have loved to have included them but getting the timings to line up would have taken a little thought and I just ran out of time. Aiming to learn more about dialogue soon so I can speed up the process in future!

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you liked it

Thanks for playing! Was really pleased with the arrow, it's the first time I've ever implemented a UI feature like that, so thanks for noticing!

Wow really impressed with how much you got done in 10 days! Love the concept, I really think it's got legs and you could develop it into a full game. I'd definitely play it! The writing was great (I knew I was in for a treat after "Our roads are paved with good intentions"), and you absolutely nailed the moody noir aesthetic.

I would've preferred just to click the driver's responses rather than having to click through each line of conversation, I think it incentivises dialogue skipping otherwise, and the dialogue is one of the best parts!

I love this though! Great work

Wow this was a really interesting take on the theme! As someone that also used a lot of still images I can appreciate how much work went in to programming everything. The music and the silent movie dialogue box really made it.

Great work!

Great atmosphere, I love those old PS1 style graphics! Sound was fantastic, the way the ambient track built and built. Can't believe how much you all got done in 10 days!

*SPOILER*

Thought for sure there was going to be something in the car with me, felt like the ending was a bit of a non sequitur but really enjoyed the journey regardless.

Really great concept that addresses the theme in a clever way! And I love the minimalist art style.

Great work!

Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words!

Really like this! The artwork made it look like a Game Boy game, albeit with a nicer frame rate! The difficulty ramps up pretty quickly, found myself struggling a lot with the hedgehogs on the platforms, but the controls are really responsive and I love that it's physics-based, it gives it a real weightiness.

Great work!

Loved this! Had a few screen scaling issues when playing on a web browser but maybe that's just my particular set up.

Great storage mechanic, having you lose storage spaces when you take damage is a really good way of balancing gameplay, and intermittent repair opportunities never makes it feel like the odds are stacked too far against you. Loved the music too.

It would be good for it to be more obvious when you'd hit max capacity on one of your elements as I found myself forgetting to bank them, but it's a small issue, and I had a great time with it otherwise.

Great work!

You've really nailed the aesthetic, looked like it could've been an old Mega Drive game! There seemed to be a delay on triggering attacks sometimes, I wonder if it had something to do with the animator's exit time trying to finish the walk cycle first?

Either way really impressed with how much you got done in the ten days, nice work!

Thanks so much for playing, really pleased you enjoyed it!

I loved this! Great interpretation of the concept and the voice acting was great. The sound and lighting really gave it that restaurant atmosphere too.

Great work!

Thanks so much playing and for the kind words!

Thanks so much for the kind words! Very much appreciated.

Yes the audio was a bit of a battle given that we only had phones to hand, lots of tweaking levels in Audacity just to get it to stand out in the mix!

Great idea regarding the movement hint, one of those things that seems obvious now you say it, but with no one to play test it you just take it for granted that people will know what to do. I'm also just realising I didn't put controls on the game page which won't have helped...

Thanks for pointing out the walking animation and particles, wanted to give the player some visual feedback considering everything was static images so I'm glad that came across, even if the WebGL build seems to have made the footstep audio glitch a little for some reason!

Thanks again for taking the time to play! Great work on your game, I loved it enough that I played it twice!

Can't believe how much you've achieved in 10 days! Really satisfying to play and the sound design is great. Your UI skills are really impressive.

I wasn't able to get very far as my mouse skills clearly aren't up to much, but the opening couple of levels alone blew me away. Great work!

Thanks so much for playing, really enjoyed messing around with Midjourney, pretty astonishing what it can do with just a few of the right prompts!

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah I painted myself into a bit of a corner with the design as I wanted the logs and berries to scatter randomly, but it meant that sometimes they'd pop in behind an environmental object! Didn't want the player to get into a situation where they couldn't collect enough to progress, so had to shoehorn in a workaround, which was fading the whole object.

Live and learn! Thanks again, absolutely loved your game

Absolutely loved this! Great vibe, and only being able to move in two directions is surprisingly difficult to wrap your head around, which gives it a nice amount of challenge without being stressful. Really great puzzle design, and *SPOILER* you can pet the cat too! Bonus points for that.

Great work.

Thanks so much for playing through to the end! Yeah we really wanted to capture that storybook feel so didn't want things to get too dark!

Thanks so much for playing!

Thanks so much for the kind words, and for the useful feedback. Highlighting the clickable options is a great idea and something I'll consider in future, and I completely agree with the counter idea too. Appreciate you seeing it through to the end!
