Very nice game, music and art worked really well and it was nice to see a lot of different gameplay mechanics!

Though, I have to say that I didn't fully understand how the cards worked.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for kind words. The cards gave buffs to the enemy, thus enforcing the theme of less is more because part of your goal is get rid of the cards.

Really fun! The art and music fit the game really well, the gameplay feels good. It somehow reminds me of Undertale, but that might just be because of how the player looks. Great job!

Developer

Thank you!

Wow. This was very fun. I wish the cards were a more integral part of the gameplay though. And also is it a bug that you can double your damage by left clicking and right clicking at the same time?

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much! We wish the cards were more integral as well. That is a bug. We didn't know you could do that, but that's good to know. Thank you.

First things first, I really appreciate the music. Both the calm and battle songs are awesome in their own right, calm one with voice type harmony relating to how you're fighting your emotions, and the battle song having a kind of crunchyness to it, which really fits the sound effects and visuals.

Second, I really like how compact the game length is, yet still has a good amount of complexity.

Third, great use of theme :)

great job guys, hope yall enjoyed making it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very these very kind and encouraging words! We had a great time making it. Your comment is very thorough. We're really thankful for our amazing musician! Be sure to checkout her work!

This was fun! It reminded me of Undertale :) I liked the dark and spooky environment created by the art and music, and defending against the minions was exciting. I used a strategy of trying to get rid of the health cards, and trying to click when 2 minions were close together so I could damage both at the same time. The blue minions were my favorite because I could hover the mouse to kill them :)

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! Undertale was actually an inspiration for the game, so it's great that that came across. We're so glad you liked it! The blue minions are my favorite too ;)

Wow, that was awesome.

Visuals and music were really good. I also liked the atmosphere, it's a bit melancholic.

I didn't understand how the card part worked very well. I understand that they buffed the enemies and I could discard them to change the buff, but I ended up not using them.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yes, the cards became a smaller part than we intended. If we were to go back we'd make them more integral to the game. Thanks so much for the kind words!

very cool idea and nice gritty art style. I could do without the flashing screen though. But all in all a very solid game.

Developer(+1)

thank you! Sorry about the flashing screen, it will be a modifiable setting in the future for those who are more light sensitive or just don’t like it. Unfortunately, we just didn’t get to it. :)

I liked that every emotion gives you hints of how to defeat their minions! I wished I had more time to understand the cards mechanics on the first fight, but after that I could understand. Solid submission! Also retro-wave is always in my heart.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! That’s definitely one of the next things we want to add is more of an intro and explanation to everything! We too love the retrowave !! :)

I will admit, I didn’t really do anything with the card deck during the fights, I was just too busy to even register what cards I had out, yet alone try to optimize things by discarding and redrawing 😅

With that being said, after an initial feeling of being overwhelmed, in the second attempt I understood better what as going on and played it through. I loved the various enemy types and their distinct mechanics. Might also work great as a mobile game. Also, some really nice feedback there during the fights, and some juice, great work!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it!

realy nice clicker !

well made and juicy, well balanced (the last level is intense !)

Great job guys!

Developer

Really appreciate it! Thank you!

Very well made!

Really sets the mood with the music and the artstyle! 😄

I was expecting a little more to the story (kind of expected the hooded figure to betray me to be honest), but still, nice job!

Overall this game has a nice message a great artstyle and simple yet effective gameplay! Good job! 😃

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Our artist and musician did a great job! Be sure to check out their other work!

More to the story would have been great, we just didn’t get around to it though. :)

Submitted(+2)

Great game. It's the most complex and dynamic clicker I've ever played.

Developer

Wow that’s a big compliment! Thank you!

Great game! The first battle was bit of an anxiety attack (heh) as I don’t really knew what things do. I knew there are cards and that they are important, but I did not have time to interact with them (because I had to do all the fighting for the first time). So bit of a difficulty spike there, I would say. Love the interactive enemies in the menu! (got me scared a bit because I thought the game started already, one never knows in a jam). I love the graphics and the atmosphere. Thanks for the game!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

With more time we definitely would have added more of an explanation! Thanks so much for the comment and great feedback! :) Oh and we appreciate the follow as well! We followed you back.

Submitted(+2)

Great game with an thoughtful concept! I enjoyed handling different mixes of minions. Anger really made me angry though... haha.

Developer

Thanks!!

Submitted(+2)

I really liked the variety of the enemies.

Its funny how different they could be even though you only interacted with them with a single click.

Developer

Our lead programmer Brandloose did a great job making clever adjustments to each of the minions to keep the gameplay fresh, so thanks for noticing!

Submitted(+2)

Nice one, the music and the game made a great ambiance. Missing some information on how to play but i ended up figuring out.

Developer

Glad you figured it out! We wished we could have explained more clearly what to do. We were hoping the little hints the bosses give when you talk to them would be enough, but we see that we should have put more!

Submitted(+3)

The transitions and combat effects were really nice! I also like the theme tie-in!

Developer

Thank you!

Submitted(+2)

I like the vibe and music, it took me a bit to figure out what to do with the enemies, considering adding some info about that. Great job nonetheless, congrats on finishing it!

Developer

Thank you! that’s a good idea!
