This game is so clever and unique! Besides the obvious genius of combining a puzzle platformer with golf in such a fun way. I thought it was also really clever how zoomed in you were when moving, but letting you zoom out to a low res full room if you stood still. The limitation of your view made you have to think about your movement more.

Very excited to see what you make next Ismael! Also the music was great Dan!

Ahhh this game is so brilliant! The idea of having multiple zoom levels with the low rez restriction is so smart. The puzzles were fun and clever, great music and art, and the story got a little chuckle out of me too. Amazing work!!! :)

This is a really cool game! The concept is very clever and the execution is amazing! The zoom out mechanic is such a cool way to combat the resolution constraint. Hitting the little guy around is so fun too and it adds a lot to the platforming. I really enjoyed the art and the cutscenes are fantastic! Great music and sound effects too! Amazing work all around!

Cute game with unique gameplay, good work!

This was a really good looking and polished game. I got stuck at one point and wasn't able to restart a stage so that was dissapointing but other than that, great submission!

Hey, Ismael and friends!

Greetings from LudumDare (I’m familiar with a some of your earlier games from past LD’s…)

Very impressive work. The game feels good and polished already in this state. Having much fun with it!

What I think it would benefit from would be an auto-zoom feature when you start to aim your shot, especially in segments where you have to smack far away. Sometimes it felt a bit awkward when you had to press three different buttons to shoot, aim and zoom.

Moving around while zoomed out would’ve also felt very nice and natural, so I thought was there perhaps a technical reason you restricted it?

I also softlocked myself on the first try when I hit the little guy inside the cliffs!

Made it to the room after the teleport on the second run. Still didn’t finish it but will surely come back for more later.

Keep up the good work!

I liked the character designs though some of the animation maybe could have looked better and the backgrounds could have maybe used some detail to make them more interesting.

Solid gameplay though, having some platforming mixed in with some simple puzzles and a golf mechanic.

This game is incredible. Lets go down the list

  • Visually, it looks fantastic, the animation of both characters is really cute and the level of juice around things like trails and particle effects is really next level. Even the character pulling out their space club is just really smooth and looks fantastic. The opening and closing cutscene have so much character and charm, there are so many subtle visual touches like minor screen shakes, screen flashes, changing the lighting of the scene, animated transitions, just a ton of thought and polish put into them.
  • The music is whimsical and thematically appropriate, evocative, and also varied throughout the different game states. Really well done, it fit perfectly.
  • The zoom-out mechanic was a genius way to mitigate the resolution constraints, it really opened up the whole concept with so many more options for multi-screen and long range puzzles.
  • The actual mechanics of golfing the critter felt great. Being able to zoom in and out was critical to give the player situational awareness and the physics worked pretty much how I expected. I never felt frustrated or anything.

I really don't have any meaningful feedback, other than maybe the controls would work better if it was less of a "click to stop the rotating target to chose a trajectory" and more of a traditional aiming mechanic, just to make things feel better mechanically, but that's entirely personal preference.

I'd really just like to see this fleshed out with more puzzle mechanics, a longer story, maybe ditch the res constraint to make it a bit less visually messy, etc. I just kind of want to play more lol.

Fantastic job!

This game is too good for low rez! I hope to see it in the top-10, and then in HD featuring all these colorful little guys. Outstanding work!

That was really clever and fun to play.  The puzzles were *just* challenging enough and the ending was super rewarding!  Well done!

This is so cool. The animations, the effects, the gameplay all makes sense together, and the narrative is lovely, with an even more charming ending. Awesome visuals all around, super solid puzzle platformer, excellent work!

This is one of the best games made in this jam imo, really liked the visuals, puzzles. The music and sound effects got a little annoying towards the end but still very good!

I had a lot of fun and the pad controls worked well for me! I liked the zoom feature and the music fit the game perfectly. I just wish there was a bit more difficulty with the golfing mechanic (maybe an optional area?) since I felt that I was still getting used to it when the game ended.

A golf puzzle platformer that works even despite the extremely low resolution. Generous checkpoints make each challenge reasonable, and the puzzles make good use of the golf mechanic and doubled up characters without overstaying any welcomes. Also the story oozes charm and the audio is great.

The controls took a minute to get used to, and always felt a tad bit cumbersome.

OK, that out of the way.  Wow, great work over all, brilliant.  Everything looked great, the sound is excellent, and the puzzle difficult feels just right.  This boasts a wild amount of polish for such a short time frame.  Awesome work!

This was really creative and fun!

Really fun game! The limited screen size can make some of the puzzle a bit cumbersome to navigate, and i kind of wish the zoom-out button was bound to "e" or something you could press with your left hand while WASDing, but the core concept is fun and well executed!
