I get where you're going with this, but I feel like this was way too buggy and the player controls were way too off. Don't get me wrong, it's very creative, but maybe making the player have a bit more control over their character would be nice, maybe a bit taller and/or making the rotation left and right. Also, obviously, your layout shouldn't be reset after pressing tab (this is probably a bug because of time). But for a game that was only made in 2 days, this is a nice little concept for a game. Polish it up and it may become a game I see Jerma playing. Well done!

Developer

hey thanks for your feedback! I actually had left/right implemented, but it felt like too much control for what I was going for. Unfortunately I figured out very late in the process where I was heading - thus the bugginess. Thanks for playing!

A very unique idea, although a bit confusing to play the first time 😅
Hope, you'll continue the development after the jam.

Lol this is great. One of the most original games I've seen in the jam. I wish there was a bit more player feedback but nice work nonetheless!

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing!

VERY original idea, but i find the gameplay to be a little confusing and at first pretty difficult to understand. I also adore  detective's face.

Developer

thank you! there's a lot to polish, yeah! :)

This is pretty original. It gives me a weird relaxed feeling. I like it.

The concept is really unique, I haven't seen anything like that! With that being said, I have a few complaints. Some items have their origins in the wrong position, which makes them teleport when clicking. The items should be rotated to their right rotations to make it easier to place them accordingly and the absence of sound makes the feel "dead". With that being said, It's a great game and I recommend updating it after the jam ends.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, I'm aware of the item problem - it's the part of the game that kept bugging around on the last day :D thanks for your feedback, much appreciated

I think this was the most creative game I've seen so far, the gameplay makes me anxious hahaha

Developer(+1)

ha, thanks CHIEF! ;)

This is a really unique idea. I don't think I've seen anything like in this jam or otherwise!
My two bits of advice to leave or take would be to maybe not show the dice tumbling in first person, it's a little queasy feeling for me, but I'm sensitive to motion sickness. The other would be maybe add the ability for the player to slow down while jumping? Just a little something to give the player more time to get a layout of the scene

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback :)

Wow. I don't think I have seen a game with a more unique premise than this. It's a bit confusing at first seeing the room spining around you, but when I realised what was happening, it became much more understanderable. Great job!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! I struggled a lot during the process but I think it's a start! Thanks for playing!

A very interesting concept. I adore the Dashing Detective's face. The game had a very unique idea and it was fun trying to take full advantage of my roll each time. Idk if you did this on purpose or not but the 2 walls in the middle of the room were just what the game needed to feel achievable. They gave me a great starting point to start placing down furniture. Great game design. Good job!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for your feedback! the walls were placed accidentally but I had the same thought when the game changed to a layouting game in development - that's why it isn't finished. I didn't really know where I was going with it for a long time. thank you for playing, I really appreciate it.

Such a unique game idea!  I could never get myself right side up no matter how many times I rerolled.  Looks like it is a fun game though nice job

Very unique and interesting idea! I think the controls are a bit wonky, the jump makes sense but maybe instead of rolling up and down, maybe you just get the option to look out of the different faces of the die (number keys to switch?). Also what if you were to see the roll happen on the layout view and then transition into the die view? Great effort!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing. I really like your idea with the points of view - don't know why I didn't think of it but it makes total sense. Thanks! :)

Submitted(+1)

You bet! Let me know if you end up doing that, I would like to play it :)

Submitted(+1)

This was a really cool idea. Props to you for trying it out. I didn't end up solving it but trying was really fun and this was just such a unique idea. Well done :)

Developer

thanks for giving it a try!

Such a good idea of gameplay ! A bit of narrative context would have been really cool.

Developer

Thank you Tayteus! There is some in the description but things turned out a bit messy in general because it was developed solely by me and I haven't touched Unity in a while. Cheers!

Very original concept, well done

Developer

merci!

Cool idea! Without some kind of saving of the layout there's no way I'll finish, but really neat idea for a game! Good job!

Developer

hey, thank you for giving it a try. I appreciate it!

Developer

well, thank you. this is a safe haven for simps!
