Really liked your idea, it was fun to play, and I could definitely see a ton of potential for emergent strategies based on choosing what dice to rig and when. Great work!

One of my favourite entries this jam! The whole concept is super cool, and the mechanics are well-implemented. There's a lot of strategy involved. Like others have already suggested, the dice could be balanced a bit better, but the game is very polished overall. With more levels and more types of dice added, the game could definitely become a full release in the future!

This is by far my favourite game of the entire jam. I lack the words to express how brilliant this whole thing is. Congrats!! <3

The game is very cool, and the Rig mechanic helps provide player with a little bit more control over the game, reducing the reign of RNG. It was a really nice touch, especially satisfying when paired with different dice mechanics. However, I think the balancing (when it comes to stats and dice power) needs some work - Orphan's Revenge is really really meh, giving it a restricted roll range of 1-3 (or 4 or 5 with upgraded versions) really makes it weak. When you are out of Rigs, it becomes very risky to use it. You should make it so that rolling into 4 5 6 should do something at least, just like the Earth's Wil; (if you don't get 4+, you would still at least get the original 3 block).

Other than that, the game is really nice! Perhaps some art and UI addition would spice up the game as well!

This was super cool! Throwing the dice felt so satisfying. I think I found a way to break the game, though. If you use the card that causes you to deal three damage when you take damage and then spam resilient's gambit you never have to give up your turn and the odds are such that you basically can't lose. A fix might be to only let players cast that until they hit a six. Regardless, this was really well made and loads of fun to play. Nice work!

P.S. I strongly agree with other comments that this should include a .zip download - not a fan of running installers with admin rights on my system.

This game is by far my favorite. The fact that this game is getting so little attention sucks. You're a very talented developer.

This is an incredible game! I think the person below me has said most thinks I was thinking of, but this game should DEFINETLY get WAY more attention than it currently has. I don't even know how you could make such a great game in such a short amount of time but this game is AMAZING.

A full on deckbuilder is not something I would've expected to be made in 48 hours at all.  And especially not one with some really interesting concepts like rigging out dice sides to have a really cool risk vs reward system.

It definitely led to some very powerful setups.  As well as some very interesting situations with the different dice and the perks to specific numbers for sure.

There's also a pretty decent amount of feedback on what's happening though I will say, and I didn't originally think this would help, but after some very quick deaths, I feel like having a "timeline" or something near the top would be interesting and probably a little bit helpful in the fact that it would make it clearer how you died possibly.  That or if there were possibly some sort of limited use dice (though this could mix in a lot of weirdness so maybe not ? hard to say)

One other thing though I would say is that it's seems inconsistent as to when certain effects will trigger or not.  For example, the "Orphans Revenge" card with it's DoT says "1-3: Deal X every turn" which at least from what I understand I would've taken to mean "if you roll 1-3, you'll deal whatever number per turn".  Say comboing it with Warriors Roar to make it so if you rig roll 1, but you have warriors roar of 6 then it will do a DoT of 7.

At least to me, while that sounds powerful, it makes more sense sort of.  Based off the fact that there's other dice that do the same thing.  Sort of.  Mainly it's just overall a little vague and inconsistent with some of the cards.  Which to be fair, we're talking 48 hours and I'm surprised by the amount of cards that were made in that time as well as the consistency of their effects to be honest.  It's a pretty well setup set of cards that have some nice synergies.

This is a very good and strategic game. Had a great time with it. The rigging mechanic is extremely creative and turns a purely chance-based game into something requiring a lot of planning. Might be biased as a fellow card battler maker, but for me this game is one of the highlights of the jam.

I really liked the dice throwing animation but I think the combat too too long and I got a little bored especially on the final fight that took forever. There were also a few typos. Overall though pretty solid.

This was honestly one of the best games I've played so far this jam! It reminded me a lot of Dicey Dungeons, but with its own twist, and felt very polished.

Couple pieces of feedback: I think hover-overs showing what the different effects did might have been nice. Next time, maybe also export as a .zip instead of an installer - that may be turning people off from rating this.

Overall, this is really good and deserves way more than 8 ratings. Great work :)

Amazing game! The presentation for a jam game is really good. Seriously nice work!

If there's any game that deserves to be in the top 20, it's this one. The rigging die mechanic feels not only thematically appropriate, there's a good amount of skill involved in it too, especially since it means you can't roll the same face. The mechanic allows for some really cool stuff, like with "Orphan's Wrath." You could just roll 3... or roll 6, 5, and 4 to ensure you always work with that die. This is a really solid base, keep up the work! There's one gripe I have, and realized as I'm playing the game -- Torturer's Revelry. Rigging the die each turn may result in the point where it creates an infinite loop, so you may want to consider that in the future.

Holy this game is amazing. Its something I would pay for similarly to snkrx if expanded into a full fledged game. I'm going to be typing a lot so sorry for the really long block of text.

The music is really good. The fact that you've made it progress as you go through battles is a really nice touch and the only thing I can see that could possibly improve that aspect would be dynamically adding in the layers with something like fmod instead of restarting the song again.

The art style is great and really compliments the game. The amount of polish that's been put into this is phenomenal and I definitely noticed all the little touches to make it feel nicer to interact with.

In terms of mechanics its a really good take on the theme. You've got the elements of rng but with the rig mechanic you've given players a really nice way to control the rng in their favor. As well locking sides to prevent abusing the same tactic and forcing people to have strategies is a really good addition.

I really hope to see this expanded upon in the future into a full game

Wow, this game is really cool! All the dice and upgrades are really interesting. I was running the haemomancer's bargain + warrior's roar which I found worked really well. My main concern going into this game was that the best play is always to rig the highest number possible, but that did end up biting me in the back a few times. I enjoyed the adaptive music too!

Loved the polish of this game! Reminded me a lot of slay the spire. If you continue to work on this, it would be cool if you added some type of map progression system as well as made the enemies moves more clear as sometimes what the enemy did didn't line up with the indicators overhead. Also I would appreciate it if you reviewed my game!

A neat little challenge. I made it to the third fight and lost. It seems like some dice are significantly better than others, so it could maybe use some balancing, but it was really neat overall.
