pretty cool idea. i especially like the idea of only being able to rotate in one direction.

could use a lot of tweaking though, especially to speed up the game.

i think the theme could have been incorporated a little bit better too. random colors arent very consequential for gameplay.

Gameplay-wise only able to rotate just to one side feels a bit weird, but I really like the art style/shaders

I like the aesthetics and the gameplay is nice !

A cool addition would be a powerup to change the direction of the rotation or speed it up, maybe ?

The glitchy world started for me when I tried to load game in Safari :D

Hopefully,  I as able to enjoy the game in another browser!)

I love the bonus system and the concept is fresh but it is a little bit hard to play)

Anyway, that's a decent job!

Visually a pretty awesome aesthetic. Had some old school vibes gameplay wise. It did feel like my toolset was a bit too limited at the start. Made it feel more like luck than skill when it came to avoiding attacks. Often the enemies were just right on top of me or my dash was still on recharge so I had little choice when it came to damage.

I really like the presentation! great job

Great game! I enjoy this game, Impressive game in such a short time. Great job!

Feel free to check my game if you want to challange your brain muscle!

I love the analog tv aesthetic :D

The visual effects are intense, but cool. The player does move really slow though which can make the game a bit hard, and the bonuses having a chance to deduct health is annoying. But I do really like the old tv sort of look.

Surprisingly difficult!

Cool visuals!

I love fat TVs! So I'm giving extra points. The gameplay is also interesting in its own way!
P.S.: It would be very cool if everyone who sees this message would go and honestly evaluate our game. Because we have already rated over 130+ and continue to do so, and our game has only 25 ratings...

Fun game! I liked teh visuals:)

Cool visuals and interesting gameplay but couldn't get past the upgrade menu as it didn't let me choose any of the options. I think the rotating speed could be a bit faster too.

Really cool visuals -- reminds me of a ZX spectrum! Your title screen music was a bop, and if you did expand on this after game jam, would love to hear some tunes in the game! For QOL, perhaps make the triangle rotate a little bit faster, and have a health indicator? :) Would also be neat to see some random elements more in the game as well as the difficulty. Fantastic jam game!

A nice visual hook, it's too bad there wasn't music during the game!

Overhall I think it would be great to add more visual and sonore feedback for things you do (when you kill an enemy, when enemy and powerup spawns, etc) bu I get that it was a short dev time!

I liked the old arcade aesthetic most of all in this game. Good job.

It sounds like it was intentional, but I found the slow controls and power up menu a bit frustrating as they teased me with more player agency than I actually had - it was a bit of a rug pull on my emotions.

The visuals are quite fine and the controls are okay. I just feel like you should have used a keyboard input to shoot and not the mouse. Shooting with the mouse when you don't target with the mouse at all just feels weird.

The sound effects feel like they are interrupting themselves which deosn't sound good, and is not satisfying.

In my opinion, the big downside of this game is its clarity and its weird choices for the UI:

  • Having to select the difficulty after clicking on "Random difficulty" is weird. It would have been better to display the difficulty and having an "OK" button.
  • You can't really know when you got hit because you have no audio or visual feedback besides a number in a corner going down (which is not enough).
  • The big enemies should have had a sound effect for when they get hit (and not only the small enemies).
  • Having the enemies disappear a bit after they are killed (and not instantly when they are killed) is confusing.
  • Then, there are many issues with the '?' circles.
    • They don't really feel like power-ups. I thought they were a trap or something at first. You could have animated them a little bit or could have added some kind of glow to show that they have a positive effect.
    • When you touch a '?' circle, it just feels like the game froze. That is probably because you don't have a sound effect nor a good visual hint to tell the player that they need to do something.
    • The menu itself is quite confusing. I felt like I had to choose an option among the 4 but instead there was only one option which I was supposed to click on. If you really wanted the player to know all the available upgrades while getting only one, you could have made a little animation cycling over all the options and stopping over one of them.
    • Being able to pick up a '?' circle several times in a row does not feel normal. I guess this is a bug though.

Also, that is fully subjective, but I don't feel like the game fits the theme well enough. Replacing the square enemies with dice or simply showing a dice roll for some of the randomness could have helped with that part.

Well that was quite an interesting experience! Quite random at times. I thought it was funny how the question thing would give you a prize with different options... but you could only choose the one! It kept giving me the minus health though... made me sad. I wasn't too crazy about the controls at all. They made me not want to play too much longer.

Overall pretty neat though! Good work!

awesome implementation of theme, I like the vibe of game , one issue though the player should be able to rotate both sides I think , else it's difficult , then about your resolution issue, what you have to do is set some preferred resolution in unity under preferences settings and on itch while publishing it asks for resolution for web, dont use auto resolution ever, it always f**s up , enter the resolution manually that you have given in unity .
