The game has tat potential, but I'm not sure it's currently just a pure gamble.

I like this system! Very strategic and well designed! The connection between the randomness of the dice and the actions of the player and enemy is great! Even if the result is unknown, the player's decisions can still affect it.
A small bug is that, if I put 2 actions together or somehow they are overlapping, the row of action is misaligned to the left dice.
But it's still a good game! Great work!
That was very creative ! almost feels like risk management with your HP.
The use of the same dice gives the gameplay so much depth that it's insane.
Especially since it was coded so the cards are read left to right.
A very entertaining and fun game !
Really nice and cool concept! Very creative as well. I really like that simple artstyle, reminds me a bit of baba is you. Very great execution, good job!
The idea is really great but I would like to have more control over the roll!
Anyway - this is truly great job!
Nice game, fun to play and nice pixel art ;)
Although I found a small bug but it's a bit my fault sorry ^^
I found the animations too slow and I wanted to go to the next round so I clicked a lot of times at the place of the "roll the dice" before the first roll was finished and it rerolled the dice and redid actions while I had not placed the cards I don't know if I am very clear in my explanations ^^
Anyway wonderful game here ! ;D
A really great concept, pretty well executed. Had a few bugs in fight transitions & the drag & drop was a little jank but overall a really cool idea and a very fun entry!
I'm a fan of turn based battlers and I like this one a lot. Whilst it is RNG dependent, you have given the player some agency to modify the RNG and strategize - Kudos. The UI is nice and clean as well, it is very easy to see what you need to do and what is happening.
Bugs:
- One time, when I placed a card it didn't enter the slot properly. So Click to Roll would not appear despite me re-placing all my cards.
- Suggestion: It might have easier to have each dice have 6 card slots, and then let the player click a card then a slot to insert it so there is no drag and drop needed.
- The SFX were popping on attacks
Constructive Feedback:
- It feels bad when your new cards are +5dmg (player) and +20 dmg (enemy). In essence, this means the RNG favours the enemy regardless of your choice of placement
- Suggestion: You could give card have a cost value, then having the player pick enough cards to reach a specified cost each round. This would have improved the balance - by having your enemy and you on equal footing. It also improves strategy, as you now also need to consider your distribution of offense versus defence cards.
My game was also a unique turn based battler. I'd love for you to give it a look and provide feedback. I would recommend reading the description though as there is no in-game tutorial.
Nice! I really liked that you can stack up moves, and the fact that you made them a cute little team of three. I got stuck later on when I accidentally let go of a card and it got stuck behind the enemy, couldn't get it back out :(
Simple interesting concept, charming graphics and cool music, i really like it
The game felt really glitchy, especially when I would drag a die and my screen would flash red and stay red. I like the concept though!
I am (was) on Google with a Windows computer (I'm writing this on a mac), and when I would try to drag a card sometimes the screen would flash red (like a damage effect?) and occasionally stay red. I can't send screenshots because for some reason it works perfectly on a mac, but it basically was a semitransparent red overlay somewhat like the functioning damage effect, except that sometimes it wouldn't fade away and thus cause a softlock. Maybe it's related to the glitchy drag behavior some other comments were mentioning? It works perfectly for me now on a mac so maybe I'll try it again on windows tomorrow.
(Sorry if this is a bit long-winded! I really liked the game, it's quite fun now that I am able to play!)
Not long winded at all! It's really helpful when that much detail is provided, thanks so much. We're assuming it was related to the glitchy drag and drop behaviour too but we haven't been able to reproduce it yet. I'm glad it works for you on mac though and you're able to enjoy it! We will do some more testing and hopefully squash this bug :D
It's really creative but the dragging mechanic is really painful.
Great entry! Really charming art-style and an easy to understand mechanic makes this one a lot of fun to play, and having you be the one in control of the enemy RNG is pretty novel. As a technical note, my audio kept popping with some of the SFX, as if the levels were being clipped or compressed?
Really good work, especially for 48 hours! I could easily see this being expanded into a full auto-battler type game in the future.
