was happy to put this in my top ten games!

I loved the characters and how different they all are and the use of the theme was very interesting! The game sometimes gives you very silly words to work with which made me laugh. Oscupp is definitely my favourite character here.

Amazing game!

Cute game! Great twist on the theme!
Unfortunately interactive buttons and answer options was out of screen on my PC. Couldn't get far with that. I'm sure without this bug the game is awesome!

Sooo cute! I love the art so much, Kimty is my favorite for sure but unfortunately I had the worst luck with her despite trying a few times... all the responses I got sounded like insults, I'm sorry Kimty... I did manage to score it with the pretty ghost lady though! A truly charming game you've got here. ♥

Yknow it's funny, there were a few moments at the beginning of the jam where we considered making a dating game too😂
I think the idea was more that you'd have to try and seduce the die in order to get favorable rolls somehow. That certainly would've been interesting, but instead we made a rhythm game. I only have a handful of regrets this time 😅

Anyway, this game is immediately charming. The art is fun and has a good vibe all around.
Interesting how intentionally unlikeable some of the characters are to give you a chance to use the rude dice, or at least I hope that was the intent 😅
The dice creating a mad lib style dating sim is a nice goofy idea, the only thing is i feel like it always should ensure to roll a dice for each required word type so you don't end up with grammatically incorrect sentences. Just imo I guess but mad libs are funnier when they're grammatically correct.
Still got a good few laughs out of me especially with cancelling people online and drinking alcohol while stealing underwear.

Unfortunately I think the game bugged out at the end? I selected the dog to pair with and it just immediately went to credits but if i clicked i heard the dialogue sounds in the background. I was looking forward to hearing about my new life with dogg

Thank you so much for playing and giving feedback <3 You DID make the most kick-ass rhythm game though, so don't worry! During development we thought grammatically incorrect sentences usually provided funnier results - but we'll see if we might adjust it like you suggested in an updated version. We do have a system that gives a bonus if you make a grammatically correct sentence, so we do take it into account at least.

About the dog ending I actually have no idea what could've caused that! I can't even repro it myself 😰 I hope you know Nanako was happy to leave Pairgatory with you!

That's interesting, I'm wondering if there should've been some feedback for the grammatic bonus.
To be fair sometimes bad grammar is funny and I don't think they should be removed entirely, but a good portion of the time it felt impossible to make a sentence that made sense and the options werent ideal. I know thats like kind of the point but it hurts the obsessive compulsive part of my brain slightly. Maybe being able to re-roll the dice would've been good? I was also a bit unsure what the additional dice were doing, I assume it's just a larger pool overall, but might be good if you could roll every dice you collected one time, would make it feel more involved and rewarding to collect them.

Of all the jam games I played, I think this was the most charming though, so again very well done.
And Nanako still warms my heart even if they were overshadowed by the credits lmao.

Also I'm glad you liked the dicey rhythm game 😁
I think it turned out fairly solid (albeit difficulty was always going to be impossible to manage for a jam) Though I must admit in hindsight I kind of feel dissatisfied with it, I think just because it is just that, a rhythm game. I basically spent the entire jam programming super fiddly audio nonsense and never had time to make anything super fun with it.  And inherently rhythm games are hard to make unique or interesting already. So It kinda feels like I didn't get to shine much this go of it. A far cry from the freerunningparkouranimescorpionbossbattle we did last jam together, eheh 😅
In the end the visuals and music take the show since theyre the only thing that can make a rhythm game stand out.

Wow I feel called out by Nanako. And my heart broke when I mispoke in front of Oscupp. Cute game! I think it's a really interesting use of dice. I was thinking it would be nice if you got more options as you got more dice, but I guess that would take away from the wacky randomness of it. So yeah, no notes, top marks!

Wow! I really loved this! This is such a highly polished and beautiful game! It is clear how much work went into this!! The characters are so cute too! My faves are definitely Shade and little Cuppa :3

Can one decide who to end up with at the end? I didn't quite figure out, what to do after completing all my dates, since they repeatedly told me to come back for them...

I really love the creativity for this game! Very well done, thank you for sharing this!
(Also hii, from a fellow dating sim jam entry :D)

So glad you liked it!! Check out the huge gates by the bridge after you've gone on all 4 dates 😊

Love the game I enjoyed the exploration aspect of the game I really enjoyed getting all the collectables and completely mucking up the conversations was also fun, except for the brit'sh cuppa im so sorry I didnt mean to be cup-racist:( they made me do it. Please give me a second chance:(((

Very fun game only issue ive got is the motion blur being too much but i generally just hate motion blur so it might be just me.

Well done!!!

Developer

So happy to hear you enjoyed it! I'm sure Oscupp will forgive you...

And yes! Really sorry about the motion blur, we'll make sure that's an option to turn off if we release an updated version. Great accessibility feedback!

This was a really cute game, and incredibly well made in every aspect. I do wish that the dice worked more like a deck-builder, where the player could select which dice they went into a date with, because I felt kind of like I messed everything up by collecting them all first; yet at the same time, the player doesn't know what is on any given die, so it doesn't seem like there's any control?
All I'm trying to say is, I love Cuppa, but I couldn't get Cuppa to love me 💔☕

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing!! We did consider that, but ultimately we settled on the dice being random to create more interesting scenarios and funny moments. But we'll see, maybe we change it back in an updated version! I'm sure the cuppa would give you a second chance <3

Aww! This was so cute! I loved the little noises the characters made when they spoke, and the art was absolutely gorgeous! The low poly 3D environment was also super cute, and I love how one of the romanceable characters was literally a teacup! XD One thing I was curious about though was the extra love dice, since I didn't really notice much of a difference after I collected more of them? I thought the random words we could choose from were funny though, and overall, I really enjoyed the game! Great work!

Developer(+1)

Super glad you liked it!! The extra dice are added to your inventory- but you will still always only roll 4 at a time. So you might've found a die with the word "Theme Park" on it that would impress Kimty. Hope that explains it <3

This game is amazing. So much attention to detail, funny dialogue, adorable characters!

Submitted(+7)

Straight up excellence. The cutest game hands down in this entire jam. I laughed, I cried, I mostly laughed. If this game doesn't make top 20 I will riot.

(+5)

This game is the awesomest thing I've ever gamed honestly. Highest quality game I've played during this Jam and it got countless laughs out of me as well!

Submitted(+3)

This was just top notch! Graphics brilliant, sound brilliant and gameplay I've never played before.

The only issue I had was the exit button at the end was impossible to click but that's so incredibly minor.

(+4)

Ahh, I loved it!! So cute and cozy, I really enjoyed it :3 (Also got the secret ending my second time playing heheh) I'll totally play this more, everything was just so enjoyable!!

What a lovely entry!

Heya, fellow Dating Sim maker! What a cute game! I love the game mechanic, the art style and the sound! It's kinda hard to believe that you did that in only 48 hours. Super impressive!

Submitted(+2)

Wow, this was so fun to play on stream and to voice act (for the last two dates). Thanks for stopping by.

Developer

Thank you for playing! It was super fun to watch you stream it!

It was a fun and cute game, the overall feel was very chill. Playing this reminds me of Slime Rancher. I had fun trying to find all the dice, just jumping around and looking. The dialogue was also is very funny and unique, but I wish I could've replied better to their prompts :P

Congrats on finishing the jam !

This is incredibly well presented. The music is great and the characters are super cute! I love how the music started once you exited the starting area and gazed out on the world, kind of like in breath of the wild opening. I got stuck on a ledge and had to restart the game, and I think the sentence building mechanic could be fleshed out to form more logical sentences but other than that this was a really really fun and charming experience and I actually got a little emotional at the end.

This is my favorite entry so far !
