Great art! I love the super low resolution and restricted palette. I'm terrible at puzzle games, but this was much closer to my skill level than most. :-) The music and sound effects were super atmospheric and really "brought you to hell". I didn't have enough time to finish the game (I only made it about half way, I think?) but felt like a very polish and complete experience. Good job! 5/5 :-)

Thank you for your comment!I try to put limitations on the jams so that it is not impossible to finish it, the palettes and the few mechanics are one of these limitations. If you want there is a level selector in the menu! So you see a little how it ends but if you can play it when you have time I will appreciate it! Your review makes me very happy, thank you very much, really!

Wow! I really loved this!

It felt like each new room had a new way to interact with the base mechanic, I always felt like there was something incremental to learn with each puzzle. It felt very well laid out to me.

The art, music, and sounds are all fantastic as well. Really well put together, feels like an awesome full experience.

Developer

Thanknyou very much for your comment!! makes me very happyโ˜บ there are things that I could have improved or changed or thought of new elements but with the limited time I left it that way, I appreciate that you liked it, thanks

Well done, the game is very fun to play, and the puzzles are interesting! it has a few bugs tho, like when items or characters go beyond the bounds of the level

Developer

thanks for the comment! when they do it? i dont found this bug?!

Submitted(+1)

like if a timed bridge is closed while you are standing on it (it's at the right on the screenshot), or, in case of items, when you throw an item standing nex  to a cliff

Developer

aaah yees the first I know and the second you can use it for throw the objects between the walls :) thank you!

I enjoyed the game mechanics and the whole concept of going deeper and deeper underground! The whole setup of having to punish others is really interesting as well! Maybe because I was so looking forward to this, I was taken aback because I wasn't sure what the puzzles had to do with the premise since I don't associate putting certain items on a box with punishing others. I think it's just because the story pulled me in that I had those expectations though, the game mechanic is still fun by itself!

Developer(+1)

thank you for the review!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Love the puzzles! I'm making myself a game with environment puzzles and I know how much difficult is to make puzzles and come up with cool ideas. Well done!

Developer(+1)

I think that the most difficult thing but at the same time the most entertaining thing is when you are limited by the mechanics, I don't know how your game is that you are preparing but if you have a few mechanics you can exploit them a lot and go dandk them little by little, for example I have I found a problem in my game that I hadn't thought about, and it's just the space, since the camera doesn't move I have very little space available and the bridges and doors and walls take up more than they seem, so they are things that you go seeing, being a jam it doesn't matter but if it's for a bigger game, these things have to be taken into account.  Thank you and good luck!

That was a unique idea for a puzzle game. The art was good, but the gameplay started to feel repetitive after a few levels. Overall it felt pretty polished though!

Developer

Thank youu! I'm sorry that you found it repetitive, since I tried not to have 2 equal levels and every time you go down the circle new applications are shown, thanks!

Submitted(+1)

That was excellent, it felt really polished!

The sound effects for picking stuff up and dropping it again were supremely satisfying. Great job.

Developer

Thanks for the review! I decided to do it with the sound of bells so that it is more integrated hahaha I appreciate that you liked it!  thank you!

really fun puzzle game, would love to see this turn into a full commercial game

Developer

Thank you so much!  but it would be really complicated, although something small like this could be done but more polished and with a few more levels ๐Ÿ˜ thank you very much for your review I'll think about it!

Submitted(+1)

Love the art style! The controls handle well but the game play got a little to repetative. For a jam game tho it is great good job!

Developer

I would like to know what makes you repetitive since the puzzles vary and at each level you see new applications of the mechanics, maybe it lacks variety?  or the colors?  in the end it is a short game with 1 mechanic, I would appreciate if you could tell me a little what you think is repetitive to try to improve it, thanks!

Loved the concept and graphics was top notch.

Thank you very much!! ๐Ÿ˜

felt a little repetitive after a bit, but a really nice jam game nonetheless! good puzzles, and beautiful graphics!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Well, that was morbid. The sound design, the art, the poetic manner in which Satan decrees the sins of the wicked, the fact that you yourself are torturing them... it's all a bit grim. Nicely grim, though! There's an impressive runtime on this one, but I feel like it could do with a bit more variety as far as the gameplay mechanics go. I'm glad I was able to skip to the ending.

Final thought: coal? Come on, Satan. When are you going to invest in renewable energy?

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for the comment! the idea was to have only 3 mechanics and exploit them without changing them, grab things, move and leave things. I could have done more variety giving you stats when grabbing things but it took a bit of the puzzle and I didn't have time, thanks!

you are the new Satan so you can change it!

Phew, some of those were a bit tough, but I think that's what you want from a puzzle game. Puzzles are a lot harder to balance than some people might think. I feel like you did a good job balancing the more difficult ones, although some didn't feel very difficult at all.

Moral of the story: We all need vacations lol :P

Really cool entry, thanks for participating!

Developer(+1)

Yes!  and we the first ๐Ÿ˜‚.  the idea was that you had to think a bit, I don't know if it's the best decision for a jam, but if not they were very easy.  the simplest, as opposed to what you would expect, are the final levels of each circle since I wanted to give the impression that you were doing what they asked you, not a puzzle as such, thank you very much for the review!!

Submitted(+1)

A lot of work! Very good submission, everything is in place!

I immersed myself in the game and went through it to the end, great puzzle! Thank you!

Developer

Thanks for playing!! I am very happy that you liked the game!

So much thought and effort has gone into this one, congratulations. There is a lot of content and I do hope to come back and play through it all.

I might have missed it, but was there a way to know which square to drop the items on without trial and error?

I'm guessing the voice will say something if I play it backwards.. well I'm hoping it does. :) Great 2nd GWJ submission!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! no, in the end I didn't implement the marked squares, it was a design decision, I don't know if it was the best but the idea was that it would be a bit more difficult ๐Ÿ˜‚

The sinister theme was quite fun. I like the juxtaposition of how cute the demon sprites are compared to how evil they are in actuality!

Developer(+1)

hahaha, they are not evil... they just follow orders :D

Thanks  for the comment!

This has such a cool concept. Very nice!

Developer

Thank youu!

Wow! I was blown away by this. The art, sound, and world building you have here was incredible. Each of the puzzles were fun and there was a fair bit of variety. I enjoyed the devil's monologues at the end of each level.

I think this was an extremely unique experience and it fit with the theme very well. I think I loved the atmosphere the most. It was unsettling, but also the little devil characters were kind of cute. Fantastic entry!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I really apreciate your feedback! I wanted to do more levels but I didn't have time :)
