The visuals for this is fantastic but gameplay-wise, it could use some more polish, and definitely more time for it to come into fruition. There are small glitches and bugs, like how if you move the laser, you'll kill engineers who have entered your 'body', There's also no real fail state as far as I've played, and the game has no proper ending yet.

The color of the player indicates how many engineers have grabbed on to the suit to fix it (we have sprites to show each individual engineer, but they didn't make it into the build). So once the suit turns blue, then you've pretty much met the win condition (survive until the engineers fix your suit).
So my guess is that, unless you encountered one of the many bugs, you likely "won" haha
Really enjoyed the aesthetics of the game and the backstory got me engaged. I like the idea of a non-lethal shooter. The flow was a bit slow for my liking and there were times were I felt it was easier to not do anything. I think it would've made the game a blast if the engineer were stupid in a way that they always popped in/around/near your line of fire and made their way to the robot close to its path. That would made me yell "Stop, you idiots! I'm trying not to shoot you, you fool!" lol and really would have sold the concept even more for me. Nicely done :D
We definitely agree with that. The fun of the game is supposed to stem from the frantic nature of the situation -- too many engineers trying to do their job and you're just trying to get out of their way. Unfortunately, what we have to show currently is far from what we want the final game to be and a lot of the ideas you suggested are in line with what we want to add. Thanks for trying it out and for the feedback!
This is a good idea with some phenomenal animation, but it needs to flesh out the concept more before it turns into a complete game. I'd love to see more work on this though, it could be great!
The concept is not bad, but the execution is kinda meh. Theres not much of a challenge since the game was kinda easy for me and uh, well, it just lacks that "game juice". Maybe raise the challenge abit, although I dont really know what to say to help improve it, sorry.
Maybe im just playing it wrong.
Haha, nah, you're probably playing it right. This is just one of those situations where there were so much bugs popping up that we didn't have anytime to play test the game or add the features that really make it fun -- so we settled for functional. We learned a lot working on this, which is really the most you can hope for in a game jam :P
Gameplay isn't good. The concept could be really cool if there were some friendlies and some enemies and you had to selectively aim.
"Gameplay isn't good" is actually a compliment given the current build haha. The gameplay is pretty horrendous at the moment without play testing and with just the bare bones functionality. Thanks for trying out the game though, half of the fun is seeing what people think and we're glad so many people understood what we were trying to do.
It's cool but it would be better if there was something to force you to keep moving, otherwise you pretty much can stay still
while the concept seems quite interesting I think the execution is not really good as I was always able to beat the game by literally doing nothing. 3 engeneers would climb on me and I simply wait until they are finished. All other engeneers came in and stood still unless I started moving. It definetivly needs an insentive for you to start moving
With the amount of bugs we came across every time we tested a feature, I'm surprised we even managed to make the game functional, haha. But you're right, when we first tried it out, we noticed that the optimal way to win, is to do nothing. We're planning on revisiting this game once the jam is done to see if our initial concept could eventually be fun to play.
Fairly fun game. Could do with a couple of bars to show your progress and the doors health though.
