The game is cool and fun to play it. being tethered to the center is a cool idea. I enjoyed though I could not beat :)

How does your game apply the limitation (and optionally, the theme)?
Your Captain (Boss) orders you down to the Edge of a black hole to collect lost cargo. Every now and then, the Captain sends you messages which interrupts the ships radar, causing the player to have to operate from memory of incoming obstacles for the duration of the message.

It has a great arcade look and sound. I like how you need to keep your position since you are tied to the center which makes it very simple to get a sense of direction, I tried several times and remain very entertained all the way. Good job.
Oh, interesting . This reminds me of those games where you are tethered to the center and you rotate around the middle point except that now you get the ability to move away from that center for a certain distance and the focus is more of what's outside the center radius. ;) I find it humorous that both my ship and my lasers make the meteors just gentle be bounced away from us. lol
Really cool game mechanic! I understand that the boss blocking the radar was part of the connection to the theme, but I was a bit disappointed I spent most of my time looking at a little box with letters rather than the rest of the game for almost my entire run. I also reached 80% fuel and didn't get anything? Other than that, very well done!
Thanks for playing our game!
The balance of looking at the radar and the main screen was something we tried to deal with better, but I admit it is one of the weaker aspects. The Boss calling in was always planned as a counter to that, but I know I still end up looking too much at the radar as well. Something to think on for future iterations!
Once you reach 80% fuel at the end, you're meant to reach the 'escape vector' (or in other words, a certain distance from the black hole) before being able to activate the hyperdrive. We have this described in text at certain points, but I agree that for the future we need to do more to indicate this better.
Cool game ! The ship movements is very easy to take in hand & the gameplay very intuitive.
Good job ! I had fun playing it :)
fun game liked the art and the music the mechanics were pretty good aswell good job
Really fun game, had a great time playing it! Love the graphics, and love the entire atmosphere.
And ya'll completely NAILED making me despise that boss, lol! Every time he popped in with one of his useless messages and took away my mini-map, I hated him a little bit more!
Really great work, loved it! :)
Really nice entry!
It feels very polished and completed, loved to play it :)
Specially like the game dynamics around a black hole, congrats on a cool game!
Liked the black hole effect on the menu. The ship controls and gravity are smooth and easy to learn. Mission complete in 3m44s.
I enjoyed the ship controls, and loved the black hole visuals. After a while I got used to remembering the position of the incoming objects even with the transmissions on. Having said that, I would have enjoyed some more variation in the main core-loop, maybe some kind of a ship upgrade in exchange for a portion of the money, putting you behind on your long term goal but making the game easier for you. Maybe the difficulty could also be increasing with the passing of time. Overall fun game.
Thank you for commenting and playing our game! Glad you enjoy it! It's good to see that you were able to learn about remembering the position of some incoming objects.
We'll take your comments on board if we continue to flesh this out. We certainly had ideas for different powerups and other features, but weren't able to get them in in the end. Increasing the difficulty going on is an interesting idea, will see if we can think up good ways to do this in the future.
The controls for this were easy to pick up and I understood getting the money and fuel and dodging the asteroids, ended up flying straight into the black hole because I wasn't entirely sure if there was an objective. Liked the communication coming from your boss, was interesting to try reading and playing at the same time.
Only issue I found was the main menu screen had a lot of flashy colours and it was a little jarring to read.
Thank you for your comment and playing our game! The goal of the game is to get $10000 and escape the black hole, but as you found the text a little hard to read on the main menu it's understandable this didn't get across to you very well. We'll take your thoughts on board for any further development!
