I really love the concept here! It's simple and fun. The way everything gets darker as time is nearly out is great; it makes finding those last few items really tense. The art and music were really great too. Everyone else has already mentioned the confusing swivel button design, which was my only issue with the game. Overall, this was a fun entry.

- Hey there! Thanks so much for the game, and for the awesome streaming over the weekend. I really like this concept, and had a lot of fun playing it. I thought the sound design and general game feel was actually really good, especially against the rising panic of the depleting bar and the commotion going on in the lamp. I also appreciated the setup and ending. This was a short and sweet one, but has a lot going for it. A couple of things I think could have been a little stronger were graphical cohesion. There's a bit going on, between the different art styles in the room vs the lamp. In-game text was also a little bit of a challenge to read, playing at full screen. One UX issue I had was the "rotate" button, which I mistook for a "reset". A little more work in these aspects would definitely put this game in a higher category. I'm really looking forward to seeing what comes next from you both! - Adam.

Loved the retro feel of this with the graphics and the music! It took me forever to figure out that you could flip the room, I played it about 3 times and was always missing one item and lost D: But I got it eventually. Awesome job!
Very fun game. Dragging and dropping the objects is very nice and the art is very cool. Nice to see how the lamp is changing. Great job!
This was a really fun game :) The graphics and the music were especially great and of course programming wise it was great as well (I didn't find any bugs). But the game was a little bit short, but considering the time you had, it was pretty good! Good job!
More like Djacked.
This is a fun little point-and-click! I like the idea of re-rolling the environment to try and find new items, with the ticking clock of both the progress bar and the dimming lights. I could imagine additional factors contributing to the global death clock, like some sort of spirits attempting to free the Djinn that must be banished before they reach the lamp. Any way to get the player juggling more would be a fun inclusion!
Aesthetically, the art direction here is clean and well made. The focal point of each environment is always the lamp and discovering all the places where the items can hide led to some fun surprises throughout.
Great work!
Lovely game, a nice spin on the point and click genre! The art is great and although I'm not a fan of 8 bit sounds they fit well. I also liked that it gets darker and darker, it's a nice touch. The main complaint that I have is that the time limit does not allow me to appreciate the various ways I'm sealing off the lamp and the funny details. Regardless, great job!
It's one of my favourite games in the jam, fun, relevant to the topic... game on point! The only thing I could only say is that swivel, but I know you know. :) Thanks for submitting this one! Good job! :)
This was very fun, great art, satisfying sounds, lightings kinda hard to see at times but i guess it's intentional to make it more difficult. Other than that no complaints, great submission!
thank you so much! If you’re playing the downloaded version, we have discovered a bug that sometimes happens (we’re unsure why) where sometimes the light on the cursor does not cut through the darkness of the room. Not sure if this is what you’re experiencing, but if so, the browser version does not do this. Other than that, yeah, the lighting in the room gets darker and darker the longer you take to complete the game. :) glad you enjoyed!
Really great game! your music and the art were really good, and the genie was so well done. It took me a bit to get you could turn around and that stuff can appear in containers I already opened. Overall really good work and interpretation of the theme, big thumbs up ^^
Thanks so much Swizz! Yeah, I kind of realized some trouble with the swivel button after the fact; if I could go back, I'd definitely not make it circular hahaha - lesson learned. While we didn't do this for the jam, I'd love to look into an Endless mode if Mr Afroduck's into it! It'd be a great opportunity for me to make even MORE ridiculous items! But, glad you enjoyed it :)
10/10 for the music and art, was so impressed and surprised when the music started!
Absolutely loved the concept, when I realised you could turn around and see the REST of the room I was floored, and that goddamn genie looked so angry and malevolent that the pressure really built up and I REALLY wanted to gut the dude. Really enjoyed the slow decent into darkness too, but I got him, it's all good ;)
My heart beat was so fast while playing this game you really gave this game a perfect athmosphere with the room getting darker and darker the more time goes by. The graphics are fantastic i had a lot of fun. Very creative maybe a bit short but i think games like this have to be short. I hope your game makes it up to the top 20 of this jam.
Haha, I was panicking when the time almost runs out. It's a really fun game!
The pixel art was lovely! awesome theme, and the music fit perfectly, well done!
While Brainstorming for game ideas, I also thought about a genie in a bottle, but I was not creative enough to make something of that thought. But you nailed it! The graphics are great! The sounds and music are awesome! It was so much fun to find the items and i liked it that you could turn the room. I even played it again and didn't finish it on purpose just to see what would happen if I lose :D I would have liked some kind oft sound to signalize the losing. But all in all this was so well made. great experience playing!
