Loved it, great game and great genre mashing took a while to load on my slow internet but that's kinda my internet's problem, idk why i mentioned it anyways great game, great job :)

Developer

Thank you!! And yeah webgl can be slow sometimes unfortunately

I loved it, controls could be improved a bit but its still very enjoyable! great work guys!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for the feedback! Controls do feel a bit wonky at the moment but that was put on the back burner to get the AI and cooking minigames to actually function in time!

Very interesting genre mesh :D first time i tryed to play it didnt load, looks like i just had to wait a bit longer :D

Developer

Yeah, webgl can be a bit fincky! Download version is a lot more stable though!

Great mix of genres, loved how the theme was applied and the balance between healing and serving food :)

Thank you!

Definitely my favorite game of the whole game jam! :)

I was able to hit the enemies the enemies through the walls and they could do it too and it was easy to trick the AI near the border of the walls and the enemies were also stacking in a corner even though there was no entrance and I was just behind the wall separating them from me. Kiting was also very effective against them.

Aside from that the gameplay is awesome! I definitely think you can expand on it and make a something more serious.

Developer(+1)

That's awesome to hear! Yeah the fact that the ai is working at all is a miracle since we couldnt bake a navmesh into a procedurally generated dungeon. We'll be looking to fix some of the ai issues soon.

Ohhh that's exactly the same problem I had on my own project (on Godot though) for this game jam so I totally get it!

The moment a collision is modified on a navmesh that is set in stone everything goes wrong! ^^ You'll need some custom logic then. One way to enhance it a little bit is to make the enemies slide in the narrow entrances with path finding is to use sphere collision shapes.

For kiting a simple solution (until there is a better one fitting your game) would be to make then run a little faster than the player so that you can go back to them while they enter the retreat state.

This was an excellent combination of genres. I am not very familiar with these isometric dungeon crawler games, but I knew the basics of their combat and you certainly did a good job on that. The sound effects and music were both great - I was amazed by the music transition when entering and leaving the dungeon. Unfortunately, due to my lack of experience in that genre, I never survived long enough to bring any food back into the cafe, but I had a lot of fun playing what I did.

As for feedback, I noted that you could sometimes hit enemies through walls. Also, I think that my dungeon was generated a little off (or it could just be the camera angle) as I saw a gap that I could not fit through. But it was indeed a unique combination of making food by killing monsters. I know that these games usually do have a sort of mouse mashing combat where you just end up spamming the mouse click to attack, but I wondered whether the enemies had a bit too much health than necessary. Although, this may be a normal level of difficulty for these games; I am not certain on that as I have not spent much time on them.

Overall, it was a fun experience, even if I lacked the skill to see things through to the end. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, we'll keep this in mind for when we update the game!

That's an interesting and creative game! A bit hard to get cheese, but it's fun.

Developer(+1)

yeah sometimes the rng for spawning is against you, occasionally you have difficulty finding an ingredient

I had a hard time cooking a pizza and other things so the process wasn't very intuitive for me but the concept/execution other than that is hilariously fun  great game!  Definitely a fun one.

Developer(+1)

I believe there is a bug in the pizza mini game that were trying to fix in the browser version. The dough for when your rolling the dough is bugging out so you don't see it currently, I believe it does work on the windows version though.

Thats rough, I forgot to fix our UI so I don't know if people have been playing a zoomed in version of our game or not lol

YES! PAYING DEBTS AS A TIRED OLD COOK SIMULATOR!

Very cool, but it was hiding my mouse and that became a pain :(

Developer

At what point was it hiding your mouse? The only time it should is when your not in any mini games or menus

it took them 2 hours to come out with my food. everything that did come out was microwaved.... dungeon's delight is more like a dungeon's disaster and me and my family will not be coming back for dinner any time soon.

This game is freakin awesome!!! Really cool idea that was very well done (cooking pun!) xD  I love the art and sound design when you enter/exit the dungeon/restaurant was fantastic.  Character design was great too!!  Super impressive work!! :D

Thank you!

Very cool concept, seems like it has a solid use of multiple genres and they incorporate well together!

Developer

Thank you! Loved how you incorporated your genres as well :))

This game was a delight to play.

I had a smile the entire time, absolutely loved the humor with enemies being food.

Genre mash was smooth, with the change in music, minigames and even the art being "lighter" in the cooking part of it.

As a feedback, if you're going to work on this after the jam.

Using escape when inside minigames/menus bug things out.

Developer

Was this in the web version? I know webgl hates escape because it shows cursor and exits fullscreen for it

Developer(+1)

I see what your talking about now! We'll look into it here soon.

Submitted(+1)

Way cool idea!

I love the shift in music from the back of the store to the front really brings the whole thing together

Great work!

Thank you!
