Rebuilding the ship each time is verry annoying. But otherwise the game is perfect. LAZER WALL GO BRRRRRRRRRR

Great game, very addictive gameplay and easy to follow up controls. Laser is IMO a bit op but overall the game concept is just amazing and well executed, I played it twice already.

Balance issues and minor bugs aside, this is an excellent proof of concept. I would like to see it expanded, perhaps with a checkpoint system which only allows one to keep scrap if they can reach said checkpoints, or as a full on roguelike where parts drop directly from enemies instead of scrap and new parts can be unlocked between runs but death means restarting the run, etc.

Played the JAM version.

This is amazing. Building your own ship, the feeling of progression when you can afford more parts, taking advantage of your own design to survive as long as possible… The boss fight was a pleasant surprise but it was a bit sudden.

I haven’t played the updated version, so it’s possible this has already been changed. But I would love if you could continue on your previous design instead of starting over every time. Also at some point the music stopped, and the audio no longer matched the visuals, which seems like a bug.

Definitely one of my favorites of this jam!

Absolutely amazing game. I've notice that multiple tiles can be stacked on top of each other making them way too OP.

I played this for wayyy too long. It's spectacular!

I noticed you can stack items on top of each other to make super-weapons and fortifications that take up only a single tile each. Having to rebuild these machinations of war every round was a little tedious, but I thoroughly enjoyed this game. Bravo.

Exceptionally done. Good luck! :D

LASERS!

Cats and lasers, a classic that never dies :D

This is amazing!

It makes me feel proud when the big battleship I built kicks the other side's fleet to the curb.

This is also a good use of limitations.

The WebGL version seems to get more unstable the longer you play it.

Developer

Glad you liked it!

I got the same feeling. After 3 or 4 games you can feel extremely powerful. I wish we had time to balance it though, making the powerspike curve a bit less steep.

Thanks for the feedback!

How did you both have time to make this??! So well polished and great depth. Need to get back and play moooar. <3

Developer

Thanks!

Construct 3 helped shortening the time of coding since it's super fast to make anything really :P

This game is a m a z i n g! !
Building your own custom spaceship is tons of fun, and there's many different parts you can acquire too!
I also think that you guys have gone above and beyond for a game jam! Adding replayability by combining the spaceship customization to the classic shooter style is brilliant!

Developer

Thanks so much, we're glad you enjoyed it!

This seems like a complete developed game. I would have love for a longer gameplay. Just amazing!

Thanks!!

Very VERY well made! A cool concept that is executed well and with all the limitations, and has actual replayability! I ccouldn't play for as long as I would've liked though, as scrolling isn't disabled while playing so using the arrow keys just causes you to constantly move the screen

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! I just found a fix for that annoying unwanted scrolling so it should work fine now. Thanks for the feedback!

Really loved this one! Nice execution of the limitation both graphically and the ship building also consisting of an 8x8 grid. Would like to see further development of this :)

Developer

Thank you!

the fullscreen button didn’t work for me, and the game didn’t disable scroll-on-arrow, so it was hard for me to keep the game on the screen to see what was going on! aside from that, it’s a fun time :3

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, we just added the manual full-screen button now.

Started this right about midnight, accidentally lost 45 minutes to this game. Such a simple concept, but really well polished and beautifully executed. I'd love to see this expanded upon, and have some of the balancing tweaked, as by the end, my load-out consisted of basically just lasers and a few other weapons. Stuff like the screen shake when you add a new component to your ship truly makes it so good.

Glad you liked it! We wanted to add more stuff but we ran out of time. Maybe different Cat Riders that change your overall playstyle would be cool.

Thanks for your feedback!
