Cute game! Love the choice of music. It took me a bit to figure out what the goal was though. If I'd change anything, it'd be both a tutorial and maybe some form of goals/objectives to guide the player.

Nice one! I liked the simple gameplay. The music is soothing. Was I suppose to just get the leaves at the end? I went and got all the sunlights and fire hydrants connected and then did not know what to do. I think it fits the theme quite well and the art is really good. Worked very well for me in the browser
i really like this game the gameplay is really good and the music and the tutorial in the beginning is really good but after completeing the first screen i didn't know what to do, also i think the growing effect is cool but the artstyle doesn't really fit because some of the pixels are different sizes the drawings look a bit weird so for it to look good it has to have a consistent pixel size and style but other than that really good job.
The game has a very unique mechanic. Although I didn't really knew what to do.
Oh I'm so sorry the instructions weren't clearer. Your objetive is to go to the right and get the water hidrants, then cross the street in the right. When you are next to water or sunlight a button at the left of the screen pops up and you can harvest it.
Thanks for the feedback, glad you could enjoy the mechanic even if you got stuck!
That is a really great idea for a game. There is so much you could do with that concept. I imagine a game where your plant grows on a skyscraper and you need to get water from water pipes , find places to climb that have enough edges to offer you support so the plant doesn't fall down but that also are exposed to sunlight.
But im not understating your execution. It is really well made aside from a bit of a UI pain. very short and just a relaxing experience.
great work keep it up.
Thank you!
Originally the idea was to climb a building at the end, there were also plan for power ups that give greater movement and a mecanic that you couldn't grab to diferent surfaces until you had the power up. But I didnt have the time :( and there were also problems with how to visually convey them.
Thanks a lot!
Ps: I retried A Story of Creation, I used your tips with the platform and got a little further!
I think its a good game but im very confused. My plant didn't look anything similar as the plant on the screenshots. I didn't managed to get to the water or the light. I just grew branches in their direction. I thought they'll get longer if I keep growing branches in this direction but this wasnt the case. Then I pressed the down arrow and I think I won
Oh I'm so sorry the instructions weren't clearer. If you want you could try to click on the green ends of the branches to continue growing them, then if you are next to water or sunlight a button at the left of the screen pops up and you can harvest. Your objetive is to go to the right and get the water, then cross the street in the right.
Thanks for the feedback anyways!
Good game, realy calm and interesting. Miss maybe a small objectives to help focus on it. But it's a very good game. Well done
You are welcome.
I create leaf and roots in the water and sun shines. But i go cross one or two roads i thing.
If you got a bit of time i would apreciate to get your feedback on my proposal. : https://itch.io/jam/kindred-community-jam-6/rate/989211
Thanks a lot! Since the game was short, my intention was to let the player explore the mechanic, but it seems like i've gone a little overboard with the lack of instructions.
I`m so happy you could finish it! I believe the ending is the strongest part but unfortunatly a lot of people didnt get through the lack of instruction and finished the game :(
I really liked the music and concept behind this game, and the branching off idea was really cool, though I think it could have been executed better -- it was a little unintuitive at first. other than that, great game!
