Bro! What a good game! Yours was better than mine and you made it in two days! Though sometimes if I switched sizes in mid air I would get like a weird double jump feeling but I'm its supposed to happen then it's ok. But something so polished and looks and sounds good made in 2 days is amazing. You can definitely win this game jam. Also you deserve the rating right now.

this game was good  : )

of course better than mine : )

Anyone can tell me how to vote the game for game jam because my stupid brain can't figure out .

Submitted

Right above the section that says "Leave a comment", you should have a section with some stars that says "Rate the game" (if you don't see it you probably can't rate it :/), then just click the amount of stars that you want to rate it (from 1 to 5 stars for each category) and vote the game!!

Yo it's MEEE, anyway loving the idea of sacrificing one mechanic with another and vice versa, when your shrinking the "poof" effects pops out constantly which was interesting, the difficulty curve was fairly balance just you really need to relay on your intuition,

suggestion:

1) the spikes can only be broken when crush from top and you die despite being over 50 size from the side which was frustrating but necessary I guess so why not make it so that you can't be kill from the side so it's just an obstacle from the side

2) the vision was important so why not make the camera field of vision BIG so it can be utilize more and with a bigger map especially the maze which the vision will come super handy and you will have to get stuck due to the small tunnel so your stationary and still have to roam through the dark maze

3) how about changing other state like you trade your z size for your y size so you can either be as narrow as a bamboo or wide as a bridge other states like movement speed for gravity or have the angle of the camera flip but can see through and pass through secret passages

good job :D(that big and old goofy face of blackthorn XD)

Fun Game! I feel that if this game was expanded upon a bit more and maybe incorporated some puzzle mechanics, it could become a really cool indie game.

Solid Game! innovative mechanics with a nice difficulty curve. Great job!

Developer

thanks

It has a very good difficulty balance/curve, good level design with polished art. The style is simple but good. The only thing: There’s a glitch/ bug when you are at the side of a wall you can do a wall/ double jump. Or is this intentional? Overall good job!

Developer(+1)

On one of the levels there are 2 ways to go...one of the ways gives you this "tip" that if you time it properly yoy can double jump. Did that cause i wanted to add just a tiny metroidvania feel to it. So yeah its a feature that you discoveres without even seeing the tip for it. well done

Excellent game! Super fun! I saved myself a few times, when I missed a platform, by jumping off the wall. Not sure if that was intended but I sure was grateful when it happened! Good job!

Developer

Yep, on one level there is a second way to completed and it teaches you how to wall jump but i left it there as an easter egg in case someone finds it.

This game is incredible! The concept is amazing, the music is relaxing and the art style compliments the concept very well. Expect a 5 star rating!

Fun little game, love the simple graphics and the idea of the game. The game is a little difficult doe, but I like a good challenge and it doesn't get frustrating when you die :)

Developer(+1)

Yes i tried to make a rage speedrun game as much as i could. Glad you liked it.

Very cool game! Your use of lighting is awesome and goes very well with the game's colors and the jam's theme. Also very fun and re-playable. I understand why you decided on 'm' and 'l' to grow and shrink, but I would've personally liked for the keys to be a bit closer to WASD so I could play with 1 hand. Maybe 'q' and 'e' or something. Not a bit deal though. Overall, fantastic game!!

Developer(+1)

Yes initially it was W to grow and S to shrink but i thought it mught be hard for people that arent hardcore gamers so i decided on a two handed approach.

Excellent use of lighting and a fair bit longer than I expected - I thought it would end at like lvl 6, but it just kept going. And levels 9 and 10 were absolutelly brilliant. That ending was just an amazing touch! Ended up with a time of 1268. The shrinking gimmick is very intuitive and a lot of fun. Smashing the spikes felt really satisfying as well. One thing on the spikes - I found myself dying sometimes when smashing them when well above the 50s threshhold - I think it's when you're moving sideways quickly, you can register as hitting them from the side - thus dying. Awesome design and a very solid entry. Anything else that i could come up with... maybe have something more visually appealing than the 0-100 counter. Maybe changing colour hue? The counter is crystal clear and a great solution, but doesn't really fit the very minimalistic aesthetic.

Developer

Wow i didnt expect such a dedicated and constructive feedback. Yeah sometimes it did register some jumps as side collision but hopefully wasnt a game breaker. Also tried different ways for the size instead of the number but nothing fitted well from what i tried and i didnt have more time to try different ideas. But the suggestion is amazing and might do it if the game goes well and i do an update on it. Thanks again.

Wow, full5 5 star rate. The game is really chilled and the controls feel really nice. The visuals are great too. Good work :D

Submitted(+1)

Nice platform game overall. Looks simple yet fun and engaging~ gave it 5 stars!

Submitted(+1)

Really like it! My only critique is that L&M don't fell super good to use, maybe try E&R?

Submitted(+1)

Really fun game the controls flowed really well and the effects were amazing.

pretty good game. i have some notes but not many:

when your big and hit a spike from the side you die(might be a glitch)

its sometimes a bit hard to judge how far away a platform is when your small and low on time

I feel like the big size and small size have relatively the same speed. it would have been neat to see a slower speed for the big one

maybe its just me but I don't always change size in the air or while moving when I wish to

but all in all its an astounding game for the 48 hours you say you spent on it. your game far surpasses mine and I wish you the best of luck.

Hey, It's a nice game. I liked the sound effect most and the visual.

However the control is a bit hard for this kind of game. You can tweak that and make it a real nice game. However I liked it very much.

Submitted(+1)

Very good and polished game! I like very much the "labirinth" level!
