A rare thing to see a narrative game in a gamejam. I really enjoyed playing it. The painting and the interaction with it was great
I would like to see/hear a bit more of the background music, cause sometimes there was no sound at all.
Great entry!

Great entry!
Thank you so much for playing!! It warms my heart to see your reaction to our game. Part of me was actually a little bit scared of other people playing our game. I was afraid they will roast the heck out of it, but you were so kind and so excited about it! Thank you so much for that <3
You were very close in understanding the ending! A few people were confused about the last line of dialogue, so we've modified it to be something else in version 3 that reveals things in a less roundabout way :3
I wrote down a more detailed explanation with spoilers (and what exactly we've modified in the last line of the dialogue!) in the comment section under your video! Hopefully it will clear some things up! c:
i like the painting art style, the story is interesting too, good job.
Judging by the time you have submitted this game before the deadline, I could really tell that you put a lot of effort and hard work! I'm proud of that!
This was a really cool story, and great execution and illustrations! I did get stuck with the pages in front of me, and had to restart a few times, but aside from that, this was a great entry, and great art.
Thank you so much! Loved hearing your opinion both on Discord and here, thanks for swapping feedbacks with me c:
Yeeah that bug. Sorry you encountered it! Still trying to track it down :"D I think I might try turning off the ability to move during reading and see if the next person mentions any issues with the pages :pp
Thank you! Oh, space key already does that. But sometimes it decides "nope" :"D The weirdest thing is that the page is technically checking if the user pressed space in the update function. So as long as the page exists, it should always check and destroy the page if we hit space. Or whichever key I put in. So it's very interesting to try to hunt that bug down
I loved this! And totally did not expect what happened. 0_0 That was so cool!! (without spoiling ha)
The art was beautiful, and the music went really well with it. The gameplay felt solid to me, and the game was really well written and interesting. Great ambiance, too. Awesome entry :D
I really liked the atmosphere and the music, you did the lighting really well and I liked the story!
Honestly, I was really excited to play your game after following your tweets and it didn't disappoint me. I had to restart the game 3 times though because of the bugs in Chapter 2 and 3. In Chapter 2 I was moving and reading at the same time which could have prompted the bug. So I just pressed E to open and Space to put away the pages without moving to progress. In the third Chapter there was a bug when I interacted with the ace of spades before reading the book which made the picture of Daemon disappear completely. So I had to restart again and read the book and hide the card which worked fine.
I had alot of fun playing your game and the ending twist was very unexpected. Great job guys :D
I overall like the idea, the atmosphere and visuals. For me I wish the game was voice acted, and I wish you have used the music a bit more. I was sadly not able to finish the game because, the written notes got stuck in the middle of the screen.
Thank you for the feedback! Music is definitely something we should pay more attention to in future works, I agree.
I'm sorry to hear you encountered that bug! It seems to happen rarely, and I couldn't track it down yet. Do you remember what you were doing prior/during the bug? I would love to do a quick fix if the jam allows it (if not, I still want to fix it after the jam). If you do end up finishing the game, I would love to know what you thought about our unexpected aspect in the third chapter, but I understand if it's too tedious to go through the whole thing again after that bug :3
I have given the game another chance, and I got all the way to the end. I don't know if the ending is super unexpected, but it's an good and well written ending. And by the way, the art work on the paintings is really super good.
I guess that the note issue is that I'm probably able to open more then one noted at the same time. When I have more then one note open, and I tries to remove it, I can probably only remove the last one I have opened.
