A really cool game and really well polished, well done!

This is such a fun and polished game! I really liked the idea that you're aiming to be as slow as possible first so you can over take yourself. All the mechanics were easily communicated and the difficulty curve was well thought out! Great job, hope you're able to keep working on it after the jam :)

Very cool and clever concept. I like the tape, the rewind effect, and the fact that you have to think ahead and make sure to make yourself lose on the way back while still making it in time for the initial race. I get why not allow me to control the character other than jumping, otherwise I can cheat by standing still for the rewind part, but it can be really hard to guage when to stop and it feels like you only get one chance and that's it...it's restart if you miss it. Maybe work more than ony way to help you win the second time around so that I don't have to restart each time I missed the "slow down" power down etc. Overall, nicely executed!

Great game! I'd suggest making it a bit more fast-paced.

This is a great first submission. A cool interpretation of the theme and an interesting mechanic. I also like your art for the video tape guy.

I lack of control of the player felt a bit frustrating at times, as I would be waiting a long time for the guy to auto run himself to where he needed to be, might be worth experimenting with a more traditional platformer style control.

Nice work!

Really nice game!

I really like the music, all the neon colours and the VHS tape / retro theme :)

Would have been nice if I could choose to restart the whole race or just the rewind leg. Also, the jump felt a little floatier than I prefer, but I still had fun playing :)

This is an awesome take on the theme! Really lovin' the retro vibe too. The neon colors look great. :D

I was a bit confused with how to play at first, but I didn't read the description lol! The level design helped me learn the rules and mechanics though. Because the first ones are fairly short, I could easily just restart and apply what I learned. This is a really awesome approach!

Great job overall. Congrats on your first game jam! :)

Interesting take on the theme. That art was cute and different.

Could you please play and rate my game as well?

Really nice game! I enjoyed the idea and the levels do a good job introducing it to the player. The audio also felt really nice, and the voice reminded me of smash bros. I really liked it, well done!

Would appreciate if you could also rate my game :)

I had fun playing it...

Nice idea, although I think the levels are too easy, but it's better than having levels that are too hard. It looks great and all of the audio fits in well. Not much else that I have to say. Nice work!

Great, I really liked it, it became a real fun game to play.

Levels are designed cool, you can't cheat by going too slow, you have to get your timing well.

I enjoyed it.

P.S:  Tip of the mountain at background here looked like a spike to me, I thought that I will die if I step on that block :)

Wow, I didn’t even notice that! Thank you for pointing that out!

Interesting concept, very well designed, I loved it, the only small detail is to block the repeat button when the level is exceeded, Great job!

I had lots of fun playing your game. Well polished and responsive command. The narration is for sure the best part. The idea of running against myself was really clever.

Good job man.

Nice, brain-teaser that fits the theme well! The audio and graphics feel very appropriate to your style as well. Well done!

Great entry :) I really loved the audio in this game, it was very well done! I like the concept of the game as well; didn't understand right away what the colored balls did, but figured it out quick enough. Nice job, especially since this is your first jam!

Thank you! I appreciate you playing it!

I think the game is very cool, but I feel that, like a lot of games I've rated on this game jam, it misses some introduction or tutorial. People won't always understand what you want them to do, so it can make them close your game. Luckily I figured out the mechanics after a few tries, and I liked the game. It fits the theme, it feels innovative, graphics were cute, audio was cool, very good game.

Thank you! I've noticed that as people has been playing. I'll definitely have to add a tutorial in my next jam!
