This is a really clever idea. Being the captain and just ordering a crew member and knowing the situation by their reports. I liked it a lot! I just wished there was a clear way of showing what's going on. I think a camera system similar to FNAF would be really interesting for this kind of game. Overall, good job! :D
Thank you very much for giving the game a shot, I appreciate it! I'm trying to work on ways to show what's going on while maintaining a lot of the feeling of mystery in the post-jam update. Cameras are certainly an interesting idea - I could try to explore that further if the update is well-received. Thanks again for your time!
Interesting story telling, did a good job creating the mood and atmosphere, I liked it, good job!
Thank you very much, I appreciate you checking it out and I'm glad you liked it! I'm glad that the story-telling and atmosphere are coming across nicely! :D
Really great potential here! I got a little confused at times as others have said, but the concept is cool. It works well as a game and I could see this being polished. Good job!
Thank you for giving the game a try, I appreciate it! I definitely get the confusion feedback, and that's one of the things I'm working to rectify in the post-jam update while also finding the balance of maintaining some mystery over what's happened. If the game gets a decent post-jam response, I'd definitely consider taking it further. Thank you again for your time! :D
Nice storytelling, and the music fits the mood of the game really well! Great atmosphere overall, I think there is potential here!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked the atmosphere of it all! Was a big focus for this, so i'm glad it seems to have paid off. :P I'm glad you like the music as well! I appreciate you taking the time to give the game a try. :D
Nice game bruv
Cheers, mate, thanks for giving it a shot!
Nice concept, though it needs a lot of polish for it to be really great. The storytelling, atomosphere is great, however... the gameplay is very confusing, and as you can only choose a few actions, there's not a lot of choice, specially since your life support could be critical and if there was no option to go and try and fix it, you're stuck. Still, has a lot of potential! Hope you can make a really cool game about it!
Thank you very much for the feedback, and for trying the game out! A lot of the clarity about what's going on is being worked on in the post-jam update, as well as making the crew member occasionally fix one of the systems autonomously, and making commands more clear in their influence over the crew member. Thanks again for giving the game a shot, I appreciate it!
Really liked the atmosphere of the game. The observations really added to the feeling of hopelessness. I wasn't quite sure on what I was meant to do, I'm assuming I only get a limited number of actions then I have to wait and see what happens? Other than that, it's a really promising concept!
Thank you very much for giving my game a try, I appreciate it! As it currently stands, you've pretty much hit the nail on the head with how the game works, and I'm working on explaining it better in the post-jam update. I'm glad you like the concept, and thank you for the feedback!
I'm not sure i understood everything but what i understood was really great. I want to see this as a full game (i mean, a bit longer 'cause my sessions are like... 2min), there's great potential.
i feel like i miss a lot, i might play again one day.
I liked the random "stats" at the beginning and the command mechanic.
3 things to make better are
- a sound, a visual feedback, to tell your crew says something. Because i missed a lot, especially considering it auto-skips.
- some time at the beginning for the player to be able to read his "stats". At my first session, i read, i just after, it was the end...
- Maybe "connection lost" written when the screen go black. At first, i didn't know what was happening.
Thank you very much for the feedback, and for giving my game a shot! I appreciate you taking the time! All three of those points are either going to be addressed or have already been addressed in the post-jam build I'm working on over the course of this week. I'm thinking of adding some kind of "Establish Connection" button, so the player has more time to read before observations start popping up. I'm adding much more player feedback in terms of commands sending, commands being received, being ignored, and new messages from the crew member coming through. Some of that's been added already, but a few bits still need done. As for the suggestion on the end screen, that was actually intended to happen, but is broken in this build due to my implementation of the ending being very rushed, and has already been fixed! Thanks again for your time!
Firstly, great atmosphere! The music works really well. On the other hand I’m quite conflicted – I was really lost playing this game, and felt like all the actions were ineffective. Is the goal to stay alive as long as possible, or is there no goal at all? Overall, I really like the idea, and there’s definitely potential.
Thank you very much for giving my game a shot, I appreciate it! I'm glad you like the music and atmosphere! As for the actions and the goal, some of the actions in this version of the game do have an effect on the game, though they are mostly behind-the-scenes stat changes. This is being rectified so all actions have an effect, there's a bit more transparency while maintaining some mystery, and there's more captain/crew communication (i.e. crew responding) in an update. As for the goal, there was intended to be a win state, but due to poor time management on my part, it was never implemented. That, too, is being added post-jam, and it is currently just surviving as long as you can. Thank you once more for the feedback, and for taking the time to play this game!
This game is pretty cool! I like the atmosphere and i love the music and the storytelling too, good job! rated! please check out my game too :D
Thanks for giving the game a shot, I'm glad you liked the writing and the vibe of it! I appreciate you taking the time to play it. I pretty much always play/check out the games of those that comment out of courtesy, don't worry about that.
