Awww, that was a lovely experience. Just what I needed after a demanding week :) Well done.
Made me wanna go back and start learning Chinese again. Already knew how to draw those characters from studying Japanese years ago.
Thank you! I'm glad it was a good experience. The reason I'm settled on this for my game is because I need something to motivate me while I learn Chinese :D
Very creative idea! I really liked the cozy atmosphere and the whole “dreamy constellation” vibe of the game. The music and visuals made the experience feel very calm and relaxing.
I also thought the constellation mechanic mixed with the symbols/riddles was really interesting and kept my attention during the gameplay. Once I properly understood how everything worked, I ended up going all the way to the end :)
Overall, this was a very charming experience with a unique concept. Great job on the submission!
Thank you so much! I'm glad it was able to keep your attention to the end and that the vibe I was going for came through.
I had a lot of fun playing this!
Honestly, I would have happily kept playing if there had been more content. That's usually a good sign that a game is doing something right. The experience was enjoyable, and I found myself wanting to see more of what you had planned.
Great work, and congratulations on the project!
Quite chill. Well done. :)
Thank you!
This is awesome feel-good game! I love the music and the concept is very refreshing. I think it would be nice to have the option to use the mouse to draw the constellations as well, but the controls worked well. Nice job!
Thank you! Yeah the controls gave me all sorts of trouble. I'm definitely switching to a mouse version next time
Very cozy game, I liked the inclusion of chinese characters to the puzzles!
Thank you I was worried about that so I'm glad it worked :)
Really nice-looking game 😄 The music and sound design were very pleasant and relaxing. Overall it felt cozy and enjoyable to play 👍
Thank you so much!
Cute and cozy little game. I did have trouble reading the menu. Adding some contrast to the text would be greatly appreciated
Thank you for playing my game and your feedback. I will definitely be improving the contrast on the text for the next iteration.
So Cozy!! The hints were in order of the puzzles so I ended up copying them... Atmosphere was created from the audio and visuals was perfect for the feel of the gameplay and story!! :)
Thank you for playing my game and oops I didn't realize that about the hints, I'll have to fix that for next time.
Music was great for the aesthetic, definitely a little on the loud side and shouldve had an option for at least a master volume though. A few of the kanji could've been a little better depicted, but the accompanying story was cute. Definitely wouldve benefited from a point and click option for navigating from one star to another. A couple of the points were a little clunky to get to/from.
Hey thank you so much for playing my game and your feedback. Yeah in future iterations I'm hoping to use kanjiSVG or something like it so that the lines look more like kanji.
the whole concept, music and visuals is so cute and adorable, and i absolutely love cute things, so i naturally loved it! great job!!!
Thank you so much! I love cute things too so I'm glad it resonated.
Great game, specially the music. I had some difficulty with the mountain one where I was't able to get the left dot easily. Rest was very smooth and nice play. You can think of something like constellations in terms of expanding this game.
Thank you so much for playing my game, yeah I ran into limitations on buttons with that level, I think next iteration will use a mouse so I don't have to worry about too many connections.
Very unusual gameplay idea, but it was genuinely interesting to play 😄 The whole dream/sleep atmosphere feels unique, and the game creates a strange but memorable mood.
One thing I’d probably add is volume settings — unless I somehow missed them in the main menu 👀
You did not miss them. Volume control is something I don't have a lot of experience with yet so I decided to go without for the sake of time.
I really appreciate your feedback and that you found the game loop interesting.
Great game. Good music and sound. I like the aesthetic. The WASD is kinda clunky maybe cursor is much better choice to draw the pattern. I had trouble starting the game because the text in clouds is not clear. Maybe use bright colors for the text.
Thank you so much for playing my game and your feedback, yeah those are definitely 2 things I need to fix in my next iteration
This has such a charming and relaxing atmosphere. The art, music, and cozy vibe all come together beautifully. It took me a little bit to figure out how to get to the next level, but I managed in the end and really enjoyed the experience. Great work on the submission.
Thank you so much! Yeah, there will definitely be a next button in future iterations.
Short and sweet!
Thanks goodness for the hints, I wouldn't know these characters otherwise.
The tree puzzle gave me a lot of trouble, I couldn't select the left most point for the longest time.
Thank you for playing my game! Yeah, I had trouble building that level too. I needed five connections to the middle dot but only had 4 keys to work with. So I had to improvise. Now I've seen how other people have handled things like that and I'll be able to fix it when the game jam is over. :)
This was a cool puzzle. Similar to a couple of other comments, I noticed that the description covered up the hints on occasion. Having a "Next Puzzle" button would be nice too. Other than that though - this is great!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I've fixed the bug with the hint and I will defiantly add a next level button to version 2 of this game
Fun little story. I would be nice to be able to just move between stages after solving the puzzles just to read it.
In one screen the text was above the hint for exactly that screen's glyph...
It came to me just after I put my 5m son to sleep. Perfect timing. Completed it and was happy of the experience. What language it teaches I am curious? Ah I see below Japanese. Very cool idea and the theme has been nailed.
Thank you so much for playing my game. Yeah, that was great timing. The Language it's teaching is Chinese characters which parts of Japanese writing borrow from. I'm probably not going to go much into the grammar with my game just learning practice for hanzi.
The game really incorporated the theme very well. The riddles are very challenging and fun to solve and connects well with the gameplay. Thank you for this game.
Thank you so much for playing and your commentary. I wasn't sure what the difficulty of the riddles ended up being so it's great to get that feedback.
Cute game and I like the music. Good job!
Thank you so much!
