If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
The game objective was somewhat challenging, but in the end, an unforeseen bug makes the game almost impossible to finish! I decided not to fix it and play the game in a different way

Challenging game. I included it in my compilation video series of the ‘So Bad It’s Good’ Jam, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Thanks, I will, greetings!

Weird mechanics, crazy transition speed between houses. But this is impossible, so well done. Very effective.

I love the screen transitions!  I spent the first try just in the restaurant watching the time run out because I couldn't figure out what to do, then when I tried pressing left and right everything went batshit crazy.  Love it.

Really cool little submission! I do like how the transitions between places are so insanely quick it's pot-luck to get to the right place! I also think the art here really suits the jam, and there is a unique charm to it.

Well done on submitting a game!

I think it's a charming game! I liked the aesthetics and premise. The screen transitions are of course extremely hard to deal with and I didn't finish it, but I had fun!

Took me a bit to figure out what to do, it's not exactly apparent, especially with the doors speeding by as you press any key. I think the concept is interesting, although just memorizing which numbers to deliver to could get repetitive quickly.

Bummer about the bug, but nice job finishing something and submitting it!

As you said, it's impossible to play it. Even tho it's so hard, I found it quite charming. I like the art style a lot. The face of the boy makes me smile, it reminds me of King Crimson from JoJo's for some reason. I think I understand what you were trying to do, and I think the concept it's pretty cool.

PS: This is King Crimson and I totally mean that as a compliment!

Haha thanks for playing; fun fact: my character is inspired by Kintaro Oe from the Golden Boy anime.

It does look alike, that's cool. I've never watched that anime tho.

I've decided to try using a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game. I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this year!

What I liked

Cute, charming graphics.

What I didn't like

Between my lousy memory and awful reflexes, I found that I basically couldn't play this game at all.

No music.

Did I think it was so bad it was good?

Not so much. It's bad and it's good, in that the gameplay is almost unbearable while the graphics are good, but it's not fun or at least weird enough to stand out as so bad it's good to me.

My thoughts on the modifier implementation

Sometimes happy accidents happened. This one worked out okay. It's not the best implementation of the modifier but considering it's accidental that's not bad.

Verdict

Not really my thing, not really so bad it's good, but I think there's potential in this game if the bugs can be fixed. It reminds me of some of the Flash games of old.

If you have any questions, comments, queries or concerns, please reply and I'll do my best to get back to you.

Thanks for the review! I agree. Next time will be better, I hope.

Pretty unique game! It took me a while before I knew how to play, but once it clicked, I managed to get to level 3. My short term memory isn't the best. -_-

Great job!

It quite hard to play with it.

Developer

I know! Sorry! I learned a few lessons in this jam, I hope to get it right next time!

DeathStranding of the SBIG.

Hahahahahahahahaha! This game has the best SBIG controls. Very special.

Wow, this game truly is "impossible". Honestly I was a little shocked when I pressed the keys and suddenly there's this janky error-looking fast scroll haha. Took a bit to figure out the controls, but I eventually figured out arrow keys advance, and you click on the door you deliver. I think I need to memorize the numbers better, as I realized the "lives" lessen when you deliver to the wrong door hahaha. I was to busy trying to beat the clock I sabotaged myself.

I personally really liked the game's graphics. It looks really nice, to be honest, so on the surface it looks like a very promising game only to end up pretty clunky in execution (which is fabulous for this jam).  There was no sound which was disappointing. Whilst the game is initially fun to try to beat the clock, it does get tiring after sometime, and the way everything scrolls by so fast can be a bit of an eyestrain.

Overall though, it did really well with the modifier in feeling like it is possible to win, but really hard to do so. It's a nice game to pick up for some quick fun, but can get tiring easily, so whilst it does have fun factor to it, it doesn't have as much as it should. Despite this I'll still probably come back to it to try and beat all 10 level (I got about 3 levels in so far, I can't seem to advance further lol).

Good job on the entry overall! I think with some tweaking, it can become a really fantastic bad game, it just needs a little more to make it more addictive~

Thanks for your comments, I had planned to create and add the music a few hours before submission to increase the so-bad factor, but I had problems with Ableton so it was not possible to add it (I was dissapointed as well). I guess that if I had time to fix the fast scroll, the game would be more enjoyable, but I noticed just before uploading the game (I didn't test the web version at all during the week of development).

Thanks for playing! I'm looking forward to try your game

Took me a minute to figure out the controls (didn't see the instructions on the page lol) but overall I had a good time with it!

Developer(+1)

Lol, thanks.

I'm trying your game as well, greetings!
