Fun little game! The art style somehow did a great job combining the corporate setting with fantasy, and I liked how mundane and tired the protagonist and all the NPCs looked, as well as their dialogue. The transformation sequence was awesome, too!

The player controlled a bit differently from what I'm used to, with the tiny jump delay, but overall the movement and combat were fine, and it's not like there was that much jumping required. The ribbon physics were a fun feature, although latching on to fans felt a bit awkward (perhaps intentionally, as the animation makes it look more like an accident than something she did on purpose, in which case another great touch!).

It was really funny how you didn't really kill the gorgons, just knocked them down, and could continue to beat them up while they were down. The dragon boss was pretty cool and funny, too!

Overall, nice job!

Great work! Love the fans + ribbon mayhem. Reading some other comments, it looks like I totally missed getting the love bomb. It was fun seeing the gallery callback. The transformation sequence was so great. Obvs a little short but I’m in the same boat, lots of life things getting in the way.

Im not really sure of the purpose of the dash, seems to have little to no purpose, i will assume there was gonna be a point but there wasn’t enough time to add it.

The ribbons REALLY freak out when they touch the fans.

Developer

Well the boss fight is a bit easier with a dash, but that's about it. But yes originally there was going to be proper ability gating for both the dash and love bomb attack, but life and work seriously limited what I managed to get achieved this time round

Well, it's understandable, that kind of things happen.

i liked the ribbons animations it looks really cool! the transformation sequence was cool and i like the characthers there!, fun game! tho i wished the artstyle between the characthers and enviorment was a bit more consistent, its still a very good jam game nontheless, great job!

We really liked the transformation sequence and how the world looked afterward. The ribbon effect was pretty good. We did notice on the dash that the ribbon segments a bit. Overall good job!

Yeah ribbon segmenting was just lazy on my part, probably would have taken 20 minutes to fix I just never got round to it

Very impressed to see a fully animated magical girl transformation sequence in this entry! I started having a lot more fun once I realized hitting the fans with your ribbons can launch you into the air without taking contact damage - feels like it would be fun to speedrun or play on stream. Recommend cutting the intro a little shorter so the player acquires their magical girl powers sooner!

Gonna be real, Maggie so relatable. Love the concept of the ribbon based attacks and traversal. Also liked that it was  physically trailing behind the character. That room with the double jump unlock was really brutal haha. It took me a while to get out of there That dragon boss fight was really entertaining, although it felt like I trivialized it with the bomb attack. Love that the coworkers are acting like it's just another day at Unit T! Thank you for this submission! I had a fun time going through it!

You're up there with the quirky humor too lol. Also shoutout AbstractVania, I caught the reference.

A transformation sequence is unexpected but welcome wow. The character controller feels clunky which leads to not feeling in control often. Took me a while to understand why attacking the fans lead to unpredictable movement, until I realized the logic must have been that the ribbons get caught in it? Which is a great detail to have, just poorly communicated to the player. Great effort was put into the visuals, as always. Boss fight had me a couple of times, especially without invincibility, but I had a fun time overall. Very creative take on the magical girl powers too, the concept is lovely.

What a errand for a flash drive!  I enjoyed the silly tone of this game, and the amount of different character sprites is really impressive!  The dragon boss fight is really great, I wasn't expecting a different giant sprite for one of the attacks.  Your commitment to having a proper transformation sequence is huge for this jam as well.

I think my biggest piece of feedback is this game is pretty tough.  A bit of invincibility after being hit, and a way to heal besides the water coolers would go a long way.  It's tough to dodge a lot of the projectile attacks, the screen where you get the double jump and falling through the buzz saws before it gave me a lot of trouble in particular.

Awesome job!

That was a funny little game ¦3

I totally can't understand these fans. Are they friends or enemies?

The transformation sequence was a very pleasant surprise! I think, this is the first time I've seen it this jam, good job ¦3

(not sure what exactly is NSFW here, and how it changes for SFW)

Developer

the NSFW is a little bit of a joke, as a friend on discord wasn't keen on the fact the skirt flies up when you fall (so SFW just removes that sprite from the sequence)

The fans are mostly a nuisance as they catch your ribbons, and can throw you all over the place, but  you can (once you get used to them) use them to your advantage... but I kind of ran out of time to put any form of level design around that.

Also glad I got in there early but I have already seen a couple of better transformation sequences so highly recommend The Forest's End and Mouline the Rouge if you want to see some more
