This "2D Rage platformer" definitely delivered the "rage." :-) Unfortunately, I couldn't even make it through the first stage.

But a really interesting, unique idea! Nice art. The rule changing mechanic is great, but I'd love some kind of warning about what the next rule change is going to be. Like, maybe it could show the new rule blinking for 5 seconds before it takes effect? When there's a gravity change, I always seem to be standing in the worst spot. :-)

One of the most unique ones. The concept of changing the game's rules is so cool. I like this one a lot, prehaps build a full game out of it? ^^

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment, I'm really happy.

There were still many ideas which we unfortunately could not realize in the time.

After all this feedback, it's certainly worth thinking about the further development.

The idea is lovely, but I found the spikes/traps a bit too unforgiving and the music was sometimes a bit obnoxious. You should expand this more, it has real potential in my opinion. Good job!

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, there is a fine line between fairness and challenge.

I liked the random change of effects after the clock was up.

Good game you have got!

"yeah it's like the platforming version of geometry dash."

Yes, reminds me of the nightmarish Retry and watching ads over and over!

Developer

it's addicting (>.<)

Difficult game, but enjoyable to keep going after dying again and again... I liked how the levels were designed, showed they were well thought out.

A solid game.

Developer

Thank you for your comment and playing the game.

Developer

thanks for the feedback, I'am very horrable at level design yet somehow I made it throw the end XD

Submitted(+2)

Definitely tricky. Though invincibility might have been a liiiitle too strong, you can just sit and wait to roll it and then power through a segment you're stuck on :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feed back and yeah I discussed the inv revolution thing here with someone and we can't really do a lot a bout it now.

Thanks for your feedback.
There's certainly room for improvement in the revolutions, we didn't have the time to do that, but this jam was really educational.

Super addicting :D

Developer(+1)

yeah it's like the platforming version of geometry dash.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, I'm happy to hear that.

I died about 15 times on level 1! It's a really fun game with an interesting mechanic

Developer

it's like this at the start but now I could finish level 1 to 3 without a single death........... maybe XD

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you like it.

It was a fun game, hard though, I wasn't very good at it. I found myself waiting out the timer a lot, because I was afraid of being screwed over when it changes.

Developer

I mean all of us are, anyway thanks for the feedback :)

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for your feedback.

That was the essence of what I wanted to express with mechanics.  Change happens constantly it can be positive or negative it depends on how you deal with it.

After some feedback I think most people are waiting for good revolutions and this is a legitimate way to play the game.

From the game design point of view we probably need a little more balancing

Dammit it's hard! I was able to cheat my way around level 3 but I couldn't do level 4. I liked the clock animation and the sound design a lot.

From the design point of view, it felt a bit weird as some of the revolutions can be used to your advantage where some others are just a nuisance. I personally found that the most effective way to play was to wait out helpful revolutions before tackling specific parts, which kinda killed the pacing (which can totally be due to my low platforming skills).

Still, great job on completing the game, you guys did very well!

Developer(+1)

Many thanks for the feedback.

Yes, it was intentional that there are advantageous and "bad" revolutions but it is true - of course we can only wait for good ones - we could certainly improve something here.

I hope you had fun with the game.

Developer(+1)

HAHAHAHAHA I KNOW IT NOBODY CAN MAKE IT AFTER LEVEL 4 UNLESSS WITH THE CHANCE OF 2 INVIINCABLITYS HAPPENING ONE AFTER ANOTHER,

but jokes aside we barely made it to the final day before the Deadline and we had to cut 2 levels 1 background and 1 extra tileset for the game to release on the last day so trying to fix issue's as deep as how the revolution's get be used like a hack and u just need to wait for the right one to happen and then move, well that's going to take 1 to 2 day's maybe alone just for it to get fixed and we might have to redesign how Revolution's work's and for the sake of it being just a game jam we didn't bother anyway maybe if I decied on making the game a full thing in the futer.

anyway thank's very much for the feedback.

Totally understand the deadline struggle! The game was still very fun to me, I like challenging games.

Awesome idea! Love the mechaniscsm, the music that clearly communicates the time running out before the next iteration.

And it's pretty hard to finish it :)

Thanks very much for the Feedback
