Really really fun. Great game. Every home needs a Miracle Maddie, and she's eco-friendly too?!

I really liked the movement in this game. Once you get the hang of it, building the momentum feels super natural and fun!

Cool abilities and speed is fun! I got stuck when the bounce  ball was introduced, takes a while to build up momentum to make it up onto the ledge

There's a lot of slippery platformer type games submitted to this game and I think this one feels by far the best. The momentum building is very clever and I like how the mode switching recontextualizes your own velocity. I'm impressed by how much was pulled off with how few buttons. (even before mode switching this is a fully functional and fairly deep platformer that only uses 2 buttons! wow!) I have some gripes with the level design, a lot of things felt very trial and error. Often times I couldn't see what was upcoming or anticipate what state (velocity) I would be in when I approach it. You could mitigate this in a number of ways: letting me look ahead more, giving me checkpoints within the level, or giving me some sort of indicators when to switch? The feel of the character is very good regardless and when I hit an intended line through the level design it felt very slick.

Fantastic game. Loved the level design, the additional mechanics, the music and honestly it was just all good. You could 100% make this a full game and release it on steam. I’d be interested to see if you could get the controls to play nice on mobile too.

Woowwwww!!!! This is definitely one of my favourite entries that I've seen so far! I was already thinking the game was slick when you used the momentum of pinky to move around curves, and then when bounced and turned into greeny? Forgeddaboutit!!

The only part that threw me were those razor blade when you had to jump over them as just pinky, it was a bit difficult to time the jump right to avoid the saws that were off camera. If the camera was zoomed out a bit more I think it would've helped get the timing better.

I didn't make it to the end of the 1, 2, 3, 4 level. I almost made it up that vertical shaft, but didn't have enough speed. I found it a bit difficult to time my jump over the two rotating saw blades. (But I'm not the best at platformers).

This is such a great entry! Moving around felt so slick and combined with the artstyle and the soundtrack, this is definitely a contender for best platformers this year!

Also, Maddie just lucks very cute, so that's another plus

As someone who sucks at platformers, I wished there had been some checkpoints, because I didn't even beat the 4th level after 10 times D:

Amazing job!

Extremely original and extremely well executed! This game is awesome! Honestly I just wish there was more!

Really cool concept and great sprite work. I think the difficulty really needs some adjusting though, I was failing so much so quickly that I thought I must've been missing some core mechanic.

Yesss gamemaker for the win !! Love this art is cute, polished and stylish music is fun and movement feels very slick when that momentum builds !! One of my faves for this jam for sure !! ^-^

This was a complete blast. Really dialed in controls and level design. Well done!

Amazing polish and style, mechanics are also fun and interesting and I love the art and sounds. Only thing I give feedback on is level 2 being a bit annoying in places but that's about it.

Incredible on all fronts really. Thank you !!! the final level was so good. Great culmination of what came before and showcase that your physics system is carefully tuned and working as intended. Slick as hell and pretty hard but rewarding , with very very few momentum bugs

This is really amazing!!! The art is absolutely adorable. I love the colors of the tiles and how it all feels like a really fun 80s bathroom lol. The parallax effects in the background are perfect and work perfectly with the color scheme. The music is great. Maddie feels amazing to control. All the physics feel just right. The bounce mechanic is really fun and pairs great with the slidey mechanics.

One suggestion - I think this game probably needs checkpoints throughout the levels.

And unfortunately I got this error right near the end of the 1,2,3,4 bounce stage.

Really great job though! This is one of the best ones of the jam. Well done!!

Ah, I wasn't able to catch that one as it seems very rare, so thank you for reporting it for me and I'm sorry it crashed your playthrough.  I'll  patch it after the jam.

I just uploaded a patched version fixing this bug!

I love the polished feel of this game! The movement feels very controlled but still has a decent level of difficulty to master. The music and art are top notch and the sound effects are perfect as well. Great job!

This is very well made, tricky but fair, I enjoyed playing it thank you :)

fantastic! a lot of entries have used "slick" as a synonym for "slippery" but i think that playing as a bar of soap is a good way to approach that idea. this is one of the most polished games for the jam imo.

although, i was stuck on the last level for ages. i think also that, being a momentum platformer, it's a little disorienting that the controls for left/right swap around to stay absolute to the camera position when you go upside down. i only say this because that isn't what sonic does- people without my muscle memory might not mind, though.

Developer

I've gotten that a bit and it's a fair criticism.  I considered it but I just didn't have time to lab out a good solution.  Sonic often completes a full loop but Maddie often peels off early, so when should the controls swap back from being upside down?  I wasn't able to come up with an good answer fast enough so I just tried to train the player to get used to the different controls.

honestly just slick as hell. love the little squeaks the character does, that the movement is super slippery in a good way, and that the mechanics are somewhere kirby canvas curse-adjacent. cute as hell top to bottom and feels great to play!

This definetly needs a run timer, unlocking the additional mechanic was a real surprise at first, I didn’t expect there would be more to this game. Overall, I really like it! It’s a very fun momentum-based platformer. I’d recommend adding some GIFs and updating the page description, since it’s really hard to tell what the game is really about at first glance. It’s so good and criminally overlooked :/

It’s just too hard for me at the first real level T_T But the presentation is so good and the feel is also very good.
