Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah I'm pretty happy with how throwing a punch resets the killstreak. I wanted to incentivize the player to let their punch play out without necessarily punishing them too much if they choose not to. I think it works great but I noticed that it's a little confusing at first for a lot of players.

I agree that there probably doesn't need to be health upgrades. Mostly because it's not something that can be upgraded too much before it trivializes the game. It's really important that the game has some tension in my opinion, and that comes from making health somewhat of a scarce resource. I think the real issue is that players just don't feel like they have enough health, so I'm just going to change max health to 4 hearts and tweak the red gorblin spawn rates a lil bit. I'll push that up whenever we're allow to push updates.

Really glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! ^^

Thanks for playing!

Yep the heart gorblin spawn chance drops as gorblin count increases. More gorblins naturally increases the chance that at least one will be a heart gorblin per wave so it needs to be adjusted as you get deeper into the game. I also wanted hearts to be more common early on while the player is getting the hang of things.

Thank you so much! Glad you liked it ^^

This is really great! I love how you only have a few moments to make decisions about what cards to play and in what order. It's really satisfying to discover how to use your cards. For instance, you learn that it's generally better to play horseshoes first, which is pretty simple, but with more cards I can see that little discovery process happening over and over in a way that could be really fun and satisfying.

Having an actual space to navigate between combat is an interesting idea. I think it would be really cool to couple the card game with the navigation somehow. Currently they seem pretty starkly separated such that I'm not sure if the horse navigation is actually adding much to the game, but it would be cool if they somehow tied into each other.

I think you guys should keep up with this one because it's really fun, unique, and interesting. Well done!

This is cool! I really like the dialogue, really cute and funny. Well done!

Thanks bonejack, and thanks for having me on your stream! <3

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it

That's amazing to hear. Thank you so much! ^^

Thanks so much!

Thank you! ^^

Grats on submitting, well done!

This is cool! Crazy taxi on ice. I appreciate how you're incentivized to stick to the roads with the GPS mechanic. That's pretty clever. I know the whole point is for this to be hard to control but it sure does feel like turning is extremely sensitive. But as I'm typing this I'm wondering if it's due to a really high repeat rate on my keyboard...

Fun game, well done!

This is really amazing!!! The art is absolutely adorable. I love the colors of the tiles and how it all feels like a really fun 80s bathroom lol. The parallax effects in the background are perfect and work perfectly with the color scheme. The music is great. Maddie feels amazing to control. All the physics feel just right. The bounce mechanic is really fun and pairs great with the slidey mechanics.

One suggestion - I think this game probably needs checkpoints throughout the levels.

And unfortunately I got this error right near the end of the 1,2,3,4 bounce stage.

Really great job though! This is one of the best ones of the jam. Well done!!

Thanks so much! Glad you liked it ^^

That was really tough but I liked it. I think chimp peen nailed it with momentum being a little bit of an issue. A little momentum preservation on the jump (but not too much) would make this game feel a lot better. I really liked the art and the chill music. Well done!

Yeah starting over from nothing feels a little rough. I've been thinking about maybe adding some meta progression between runs. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback!

holy shit this game was amazing! I feel like you guys could turn this into a full release. Really brilliant mechanics that you explored really well. This one deserves way more attention. Well done!

Awesome, thanks so much!

Lol this is a fun but frustrating game. I'm pretty awful at it but I like the idea

Haha yeah that's a common complaint. I wanted there to be tension in the game and giving the player too much health has a chance to remove the tension. I think there is a little work to be done to get the health situation just right though.

Yeah it starts out kinda relaxing but this is not a relaxing game ^^

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

This is super cool! I really love the bouncy gun mechanic. I'd love to see this riffed on some more. I have a feeling you could do a lot more with it.

I really like the art and colors. The music is good and fits the game really well.

Cool game, well done!

Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it

This is really cool! I was really having fun with this one. I noticed I was really locked in for a while there lol.

Really cool combination of mechanics. I can envision a lot of cool stuff to add to this one like leveling up your pucks or adding other modifiers for having certain pucks in certain regions. etc.

I like the slime mechanic. Once you get a feel for it, it really adds some depth.

Well done! This is cool

Yeah timing the punches at first is pretty tough but it becomes easy once you get a punch upgrade or two. Also, you punch on button release, not button press, which I think can trip people up. I wanted you to feel kinda weak at first so you feel strong later by contrast. Thanks for checking it out!

Daaaamn I really love the comic panel style level presentation. Reminds me of comix zone for the sega genesis. Really cool stuff. I really love swingy mechanics in any game. They're always slick. I think the air boost mechanic works really well in tandem with the swingy mechanics. I really like the art and vibe of this one. Well done!

Yeah health seems to be a little bit of an issue for players. I'm going to do some health tweaks for sure. Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it

This is really sick! I'm really impressed by the number of mechanics that are packed into this lil jam. The art and sound are all really good!

I think dash needs to be on a separate button. I was playing with a controller and having it tied to the stick is really disorienting. Players naturally want to input direction inputs just to navigate to where they want to end up so having it invoke dash will really mess a lot of players up. Although maybe it feels better on keyboard.

But this is really sick. Well done!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

This is incredible

Thanks for playing! Those gorblins do be scary tho.

Really cool! I love the simple aesthetic and the subtle coloring. It feels really slick to play. The dodge feels really big and with a lot of invulnerability which I really appreciate.

I wish there was some kind of indication for me to know if I was dealing damage. I'm pretty sure I was meant to be shooting the black circle but without some kinda feedback I'm not 100% sure I was supposed to be doing that.

I eventually saw the "Thanks for playing" screen but it didn't seem like the fight was actually over so I was kinda confused by that.

This feels really great to play though, well done!

Yeah the enemies bouncing off each other eventually unfolds into the whole game once you get a few upgrades. Thanks for playing!

Wow thank you so much! :O

Thank you! And thanks for streaming this one ^^

Thanks for checking it out!

I really love the vibe and atmosphere of this one. It oozes style. The character is really cool and he's animated super well. He really sells the whole vibe.

I'm not sure if it's because I"m running this on linux, but I had trouble selecting the modifiers. They didn't seem to respond to me clicking them I might have been missing something though.

This is really cool, well done!

This game is super rad! I absolutely love the style. It kinda reminds me of Devil Daggers a little bit, which I love.

Dashing around the stage feels super great. The sound design is really insanely good. Super well done on that.

It took me a little bit to understand the game but reading the comments here helped with that. I'm not sure I understand the point of high kicks. Is that just to clear the pillars littered around the stage? I feel like I was able to make do with dash and low kick and sometimes snap. Eventually I was able to get up to heat 16. It sounds like the boss is bugged so I assume that's about as far as I can get.

Really awesome stuff though. I'd love to see more of this. Well done!

sneeeeeeeel

Hitting combos for that sweet speed boost feels really good. I think this is a pretty solid platformer/speed runny game. Well done!

This is really cool! I love the art and the vibe. It's really something special. It was really fun to discover you could dash into slide. The movement in this game is really fun. It feel intuitive to control for someone that played a lot of WoW back in the day but I can see it tripping some people up.

I couldn't find any of the secret spells. And I wasn't able to get through the jumping puzzle at the end but I think this game is really sweet! Well done!
