Big fan of this entry, the aesthetic of the art and sound are wonderful, and solid gameplay with a 2 minigame deep gameplay loop. Love.

Developer

thank you, we appreciate it very much!

Such a cool entry, it kinda reminds me of Earthbound! I managed to beat it, although it wasn’t easy since the rng constantly put me against the little guy >:( I have never even encountered the green dude from the screenshots. Still it was very fun and the presentation truly shines!

Developer

thanks, and oof, yeah there is kinda rng (we have specific probabilities for each enemy depending on what level you are on), mostly balanced but its possible for things to happen... like penny too many times in a row on the 3rd car lol.

Wowowow!! A perfect score from me. Incredibly inventive, amazing art and music... super fun to play. I LOVE that it just jumps into it... I really struggle with games that require a lot of reading and practice to understand, but this one just shows you right away how things work, even though the gameplay is quite novel. Very very well done to you!!!

Developer

thank you so much for the high praise!! that means a lot!

Wow! My only complaint is I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME GET THAT TINY GOLD COIN FELLA!?!?! AND WHY ARE THERE SO MANY COIN TYPE ENEMIES IN THIS DANG OL VIDEO GAME!!!

Otherwise, Epic! Concept and execution!!!

Developer(+1)

but penny is so cute and adorable. did nothing wrong fr fr.

Submitted(+1)

i will find that penny... and i will end him...

This game was really fun! I loved the music and the visuals, especially those psychadelic backgrounds. Using the mouse for undertale-style battles is genius! The mouse misalignment was a bit weird to get used to, though. I liked this game a lot! The third stage kicked ass! I watched Madagascar while I played it, and it was so F-ing funny it made me want to wash without looking!

Developer

Haha! I had like 3 friends make that reference to the yellow hummer too. Thank you for the sweet feedback you’re too kind! 🍻

This is so well made. The enemies are really slick, all the attacks are original and it feels fresh. I didn't realize that the green attacks healed you. Overall, I rate this SLICK/10

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! yeah, the green attacks are a little bugged as well so that doesn't help either, oh well. glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+3)

This one is really well done . Also that submission time is insane lol

Developer(+1)

Thanks, could've been worse lol

Fantastic entry. I love the bossa nova and the overall style. The transitions to and from the minigames are really juicy (slick?) and this is one of the more creative takes on the theme, really well done

I have some constructive criticism if you’re open to it, only because everything was so good overall

  • For the purple guy, I wish the green projectiles wouldn’t turn white, since there’s no indicator for when it’s going to happen (or i didn’t notice it)
  • Turning the direction on the car was hard to read (at first I didn’t notice the arrows) and sometimes it brought me to the front when I expected to go to the back
  • I had no idea what was happening with the timer in the minigames and had to read the comments here to understand the thing in the top right was the clock
  • Alternating powerwashing within the fights felt unneeded since the loop is already powerwashing -> enemy -> powerwashing. Maybe it’s because I didn’t understand the time-as-health mechanic as mentioned above, but it felt a little immersion breaking to go powerwashing -> enemy(dodge -> powerwash -> dodge -> powerwash) -> powerwash, since the outer loop is so small

Again I don’t want to take away from the praise, great job :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the praise and the feedback, i do agree with you, all your points are fair, we explored those points in varying depths, during development and we would've probably benefitted from some more playtests with people from outside our team. Thank you again!

Excellent presentation. The gameplay is easy to follow. The one thing I would mention is that there was a dirt just too close of the button that goes to the next section of the car and since I did not have that much time I ended up losing. Nonetheless, It was a great experience. Good job.

Developer

Thank you for playing! You're very right, we wanted to remove the spawning of dirt behind the buttons but no time unfortunately.

Absolutely fantastic! The game I've spend the most time playing this jam. Really tightly crafted, fun, and put together so well. Congratulations on this one!

Developer

thank you so much!! glad it's fun enough to spend time on.

WOW this game was amazing. Already blown away by the title screen. Such nice pixels, graphics, earthbound-like groovey battle background art, music, and the gameplay mechanics of washing a car + undertale like battles is such a fun and unique combination. This was really peak slick.

The only constructive feedback I had at all was that:

1. I wanted to be able to see my timer when I was battling, I can't tell if it was a web bug but it moved up and was hidden out of screen so I couldn't tell I was close to game over (maybe that's an intentional move to make it more suspensful), and

2. every now and then one of the sludge creatures on the car was directly under a "switch directions" arrow, but I was able to just click near it and drag the mouse over to clean it up.

Such a good game!!!

Developer

thank you!! im honored that you certified us slick.

love the little battle minigames, the background, overall art is groovy and the concept seems really unique! Great entry :D

Developer

thank you! glad you liked it!

This has no right to be a jam game!! The level of polish on all the aspects of the game is outstanding. Incredible.

Developer

thank you!! happy you think that!

The last thing I expected was a car wash simulator with a combat system in the style of Undertale, and it's wonderful.

Developer(+1)

thank you! glad you enjoyed it!

Great little combat minigames with nice art and music.

Developer

thanks!

Submitted(+2)

Wow, you guys work fast! This was impressive. Love the Earthbound/Undertale inspirations while feeling totally different

Developer

thanks a lot!!

oh yeah a cool washing game let me . . . OH MY GOD WHY AM I IN AN RPG BATTLE???????????
This is absolutely peak and i cannot express how fun of a twist that was, you saw me on vc, i was flabbergasted, died for the lil coin guy :D

Great entry! Good job! Good luck on the jam :D

Developer(+1)

penny takes another victim and i couldn't be happier. thank you so much for playing!!

The combat system is awesome! Definitely got some Undertale vibes from it and was very impressed by the enemy variety keeping me on my toes.  I love the evil little eyes the bad blobs have, I have encountered similar ones on my white shirts. The seamless cursor control transitions from washing, to dodging and then firing at the enemies was slick! Great game!

Developer

thank you so much! i hope that irl, you don't encounter any pennies with a cute adorable face on them...

The concept is very unique. It looks, feels, and sounds great. Some highlights were the moving backgrounds and music variations in the monster battles. Nice work, everyone!

Developer(+1)

thanks! both the those things wouldn't been in the game if the jam ended one hour before lol, so thank god we got to it.
