The physics seemed to work well (sliding, shooting, ricochet, etc.) and the puzzles did indeed make me feel slick, both literally and figuratively. The text generating from the middle made it a little hard to read, but mostly just in the first scene. During the levels it was fine. I appreciated being able to look around and scope out the rest of the level with alt. I'm also impressed by how many puzzles were included given the short development time. There were some small details that stood out too, like the different tones while hovering the main menu options. Nice work!
I love the look and the vibe. I think the starting area is maybe a bit too big. There were so many NPCs and houses that couldn't be interacted with and there was a lot to navigate. This game might benefit from being smaller and more focused. That said, I see a lot of potential here. The dash was fun. Nice work!
This is a very ambitious project. The game, unfortunately, froze while I was trying to build a hut. Up until then though, it was extremely chill. I appreciate the detailed instructions. I love the concept. The color palette is great. I just wish I could have seen more of it before it froze. Great work overall!
I definitely agree that we could have explained the mechanics a bit better. We cut it pretty close on time, as I'm sure many people did, so there were a few things we weren't able to do. I'm glad you found the gameplay intuitive nonetheless, and glad you enjoyed the intro, art, and sound. Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to play our game!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked the concept and intro. I agree, we could have explained the mechanics better, but we were scrambling toward the end (as I'm sure most people were) and that aspect sort of got away from us. I also agree that the enemies are hard to dodge, especially the archer crows. Hopefully we get to balance things a bit better in the future. Thanks for taking the time to play our game!
I don't remember exactly where it was, but I do remember there were a lot of blue blocks, like a solid chunk of just blue blocks. I cleared too many of them out of the way, so I tried resetting the level, got stuck in a solid wall, and there were red blocks behind me, so when I tried to perspective shift out of it, I would just die. That's as well as I can remember it, so hopefully it helps a little? haha
I love the concept you came up with. It's too bad that you ran out of time. I would have liked to see that fleshed out. I could only ever attack 2-3 times before never being able to attack again until my next run. I'm not sure if I got a bug or if there was a cooldown and I just died before I was able to attack again. Either way, I see potential here. Nice work!
