Game is hard but fun. I love the weird hand thing destroying the stage even tho it's killing me constantly.

How does your game represent "Slick"?
When I saw that the theme was Slick I knew I wanted to make a roguelike with fun fast paced movement that you could upgrade to make even more slick, and a randomly generated level that has a million ways to make you lose.

I really dig the visuals and sound design. I also enjoy this concept a lot, using your gun not just as a weapon, but as a digging tool. I think the hand could use some balancing. It killed me before I got off the ground during most of my attempts. When I was able to make it up past that first part though, it was a good time. Nice work, overall. With a few adjustments, I think this could be great!
I love the black and white style to this game as well as the depth you added in the animations. You're right that the randomly generated levels make you lose in many ways. It's pretty challenging to dig up the blocks fast enough and get there before the hand comes to slap everything away. I think that it would've been nice to introduce the hand in a harder level later on rather than in the beginning. Either way, this game was cool to play, the interactive sounds were satisfying, and it feels very polished!
I really like the visuals and the overall vibe. Holy crap that hand destroyed me!!!!! Knocked the ground out from my feet right into a spike pit 😭😭😭. But I liked gun jumping and fighting slimes.
Really digging the art style and music! I had a hard time getting through the start of lvl 1. I feel like the recoil of the gun to make you jump high could be increased a lot.
Out of the few times I restarted, there was not a decent block that spawned that I could reach with the gun jump.
Also, I would maybe start the timer of the hand spawning after a certain height is reached, it doesn't have to be very far from the start. That way new players can get acquainted with the controls and make some progress before that threat is introduced.
Great idea, I think you could certainly keep building upon this since I can see the vision. Awesome job!
Love the visuals and music/sound design, very synchronised with each other! Games concept and core mechanics are interesting but really difficult! Might be a skill issue
Visuals are amazing, same with the sound design and music. However, the game is way to difficult, you barely have time to progress before you are swept away by the hand I barely progressed through the first level.
I like the idea, but it’s so hard ToT. Most of the time, I don’t feel like I’m dying because of my own mistakes - more like the game is treating me unfairly :/ Lack of invincibility frames makes it hard to survive if the enemy falls on you from above and you get stunlocked against a wall.
so I love the idea. Digging games but with a gun now you got me interested. and what’s “slick” is that one of your powers is to jump higher by shooting, however you better plan well b/c you’ll shoot the block that was saving your life if you don’t make the jump. Unfortunately for me this game is not easy on a trackpad haha, I would love to play it on my steam deck and use the right stick for aiming, I might actually try and see if I can try that b/c the idea is awesome and the aesthetic even had elevator cut scenes. This is a slick idea for sure
This is Hard, defiantly in an additive way. looks like a game I'd buy on Steam.
I like the concept and art. Wasn't able to clear the first level unfortunately. You could speed up the reloading animation if not all bullets were used, that would give the player a bit more time.
I only made it a little past the first level, this is hard! The cleaning hand comes up really fast, and the player doesn't have too much vertical speed, especially with having to reload. I wasn't able to get any upgrades that might've made the game a little more forgiving. I was getting a little better after a lot of deaths at the start, but I think this was too tough for me.
