Very cool. The robots remind me of something from Dr. Who.
Or like this is like a Dr. Who Episode. From the 70’s.
Sadly, I should have used icons instead of Katakana. But I wanted to go with the Japanese Anime theme. Perhaps Icons would have helped in conjunction with the katakana.
There is a translation in the description. You can use that.
And yes, both options are randomized, so it is a fake choice and a die roll.
There is a bit of strategy with the movement.
If you don’t have something submitted yet, get something up! It doesn’t matter if it’s broken or not. We’ll figure it out. 😁
Late submissions will not be taken.
If you need some last minute help, again feel free to reach out.
We got about 15 submissions right now out of 43 people joined. It’s a very good number, but I am betting on a few of you working hard at the last minute.
Let me know if you need anything. 🫡
You got this!
With a little less than three hours to go, I want to first of all thank you for joining the Jam. We have 28 people joined so far. And I suspect others will roll in here and there.
This is a month long jam, so treat it like a marathon, not a sprint.
Take it day by day. Take some time to think about your game.
Get something small with a short game loop up and running. Then iterate over and over.
Feel free to ask people for feedback. This is a ranked Jam, but there is no prize for winning.
Please post in the resources if you find some cool sounds, art, or tools etc.
Also, please try to keep track of your hours each day in a spread sheet or notebook. In the end there is a survey when submitting your game. I’m curious to see how much time you’ve spent.
If you can take 45 minutes to an hour each day to work on the game throughout the month, I would say you are in good shape. Good luck!
Hello! We used it for the Global Game Jam 2023. Thank you so much for sharing! I posted a link back here to your page. https://zachsarette.itch.io/carrot-monster
