A nice simple mobile game. Some new audio would obviously be needed, and perhaps some tweaking to make the game end a little sooner, but with the simplistic gameplay and appealing visuals, I could see this being a published game on the app store or google play. Nice work!

Fun little game here, but once you've reached the top it's a little hard to see where they will land, and at that point there's no progression so there's no need really to continue playing. I also noticed that you used royalty-free sounds, which as you know is against the rules. I must therefore ask you to replace the game with a version that has none of the sound. If you fail to do this by next week then unfortunately I will have to remove your submission, since it would be unfair on others who have had to make the audio themselves.
As requested, I replaced the game with a version without audio. In reality, when the water reaches the top, it is the time when we have the most fun. It is true that the game quickly becomes monotonous but, as you can read a few comments below, we had things in mind to make it more lively, and if the game is appreciated enough we will continue it.
Fleshed out with some gameplay unlocking or progression this could make a fun mobile game
was a little bit long to play. you only got to the end when either you won or lost. needs a timer or something. nice graphics and gameplay though.
The concept was pretty original, but it gets repetitive after a while. Everything else looks pretty good!
great to see what awesome graphics you could create in that short period of time well done
I like graphics and also that the wave is rising and it making the game more difficult. :) I would enjoy it as mobile game as well.
Good job! :)
The graphics are really pretty, but it'd be better if the rules weren't explained once the game already started, and it gets repetitive quickly. It's a shame that the music isn't yours, it really fitted the game. If you guys intend to keep working on it, one issue I found was that pressing down was really bad since the next animal will start really fast, specially when you have a tall water level, so, instead of checking if the button is pressed, check if it went down or up, and cancel it if you released the key or if you spawned other animal.
Many thanks for the comment! It 's true, the tutorial is really in a bad place and time, but we added it 2 minutes from delivery and it was necessary to put it somewhere! We will definitely improve it! I'm glad that the music fits, I chose it carefully, and I hadn't really understood that I should have done it! (it is the first Jam I participate in where this is required) I hope we will not be disqualified for this, because it would not be right for my boys, who worked hard. Thank you very much for reporting the problem you have encountered and the proposed solution, we will treasure it!
A decent mobile game, but it gets extremely repetitive really fast. Graphics and audio were amazing though, and it could be great with more interesting gameplay
I thank you for the comment! It 's true, the game becomes repetitive very quickly, we have noticed it too. Our idea was to make it much more varied, but in the end there was no time to add anything else. If in the end, the game has been appreciated, we will carry it forward as we thought it, with powerups, bonuses / malus, a level mode, a two player battle mode, and if people like it, also a battle mode for two players online! So if you like the idea, I invite everyone to vote! ;)
Thanks! I am very happy you say this! Initially this game was designed in portrait for mobile, but in the end we adapted it to the landscape thinking that, for a Jam, it would be played on PC. If at the end of everything, the game has been appreciated, we will certainly carry it forward as we thought it to the end, and we will release it for both desktop and mobile. Thanks again!
Really good graphics, would have liked a little more guidance at the start, because I'm stupid like that.
Yes, my wife and friend did a fantastic job with art (and it would be even more fantastic if you knew how old my friend is!). For the game: when the water rises too high, if you slow down the fall of the fish (and with a lot of practice) you can play very long (but ... shhhh ... don't tell everyone!;))
