Cool game! My top was 1870 in 20 seconds (I hid in a corner and got lucky [I'm bad at bullet hells/games with a lot to keep track of]). The music is sick, and the art and general vibe gives me nostalgia for browsing old arcade-y flash games. I quite enjoyed it all! There's a bit of lag when you get into things, but my system isn't the best so that could be a contributing factor. Overall, this is a solid submission! :>

Thank you so much for playing and that's a fantastic score! I appreciate your words and feedback and I noticed on some older devices that it can tend to lag a bit, but I will look into it and try to optimize it a little more :) Downloading the game for a Windows computer could prove to be a little more stable compared to the HMTL version of it.
Have a blessed day! :)
Very solid feel to an arcade schmup! My only suggestion is to also have mouse click fire as well instead of the wasd/space setup but outside of that great job! 👍
My best score was 2240. This has a good level of challenge! Took a few tries to start surviving to 20 seconds. but it got much easier over time. I wish the music didn't reset every attempt so I could hear more of it while playing!
This was a really fun and challenging SHMUP. Also the music is a banger!
This is really fun, it's amazing how much of a challenge it can be.
Classic game idea but done really well, great work !
The gameplay is juicy, the music and art are good, it's quite challenging and really fun to replay :)

This overall is very fun, and a submission to be proud of. There are a few areas to polish if you really want, but overall this is a great game. As someone who likes bullet hell games, a small indication of when an enemy is about to shoot would be nice. I died a bunch to the missiles because I would move to shoot them, but they shot right as I was about to approach them. Maybe with this color scheme, a 0.2 sec white flash?
Anyways, like I said, great game. Maybe I'll come back and grind for 10k.
Thank you so much for the feedback p4songer! There's definitely tons of room for polish and making the game as smooth of an experience as possible. The web version of the game does have it's limitations, but I know the Windows version offers more to work with. Adding that as a feature could definitely make the game more immersive and give the players a heads up for the dangers that lurk ahead :)
Have a blessed day!
I've come back and played this a couple times now. Great job!
you were quite nasty for throwing in those side strafing meteors (love it!)
Nice shooter! The horizontal moving metoers added another dimension to the game which I appreciated -> you not only had to look ahead for bullets but also look out for getting side swiped. lean into that aspect of the game!
Now this game had plenty of juice I would test adding some overlay particles / clouds as may bring the B/G and game scene more together.
It's fun! As others have mentioned, it would be nice to not have to spam the shoot button all the time. The music is nice. I like that you added music for all submenus as well!
Really adictive and challenging. I can safely assume most playthroughs will be a lot longer than 20 seconds because you get that urge to really beat your score and to keep on playing, which is something I associate with good arcades :) . Had a lot of fun, nice job.
Did you consider making the colliders slightly smaller? Usually, shmups with a lot of things going on at the same time make them smaller than the ship to trick the players into believing they're secret aces hahaha. But I can see how keeping them as they are now add to the whole "survive!" experience
Thanks a lot for playing and for the kind words! I’m really glad the arcade vibe came through—that “just one more run” feeling is exactly what I was hoping for.
As for the colliders, you’re totally right: a lot of shmups do shrink them a bit to give players that secret ace feeling. It’s definitely something I can tweak if I want to make the game a little more forgiving, but I kind of enjoy the extra tension that comes with keeping them true to the ship’s size. I guess I’m a sucker for difficult games, haha. Still, it’s a great suggestion and I appreciate you pointing it out!
Have a blessed day! :)
PB: 2360! Really hard, had to focus more on survival than scoring! Wish I could hold space to shoot
Fantastic score, WOW! That's the beauty of the challenge, I have to stimulate all your instincts ;)
Great suggestion to hold space while shooting. I may add that as a future feature for individuals who want a smoother experience, however my decision for one shot at a time was to add on to the challenge to make the player feel fully emerged as if they're in their last stand, firing away to survive. :P
Have a blessed day!
Very fun and challenging! I also tried many pacifist runs without success yet haha. The horizontal rocks make it very challenging. The visuals and music is amazing, well done!
