It’ll always live 20 seconds (or 15 if you exclude the hatching), but the stats were surprisingly difficult to balance. I ended up maxing out a stat whenever you click a button because the stats decay so quickly every second

I’m glad you liked it! I did have inspirations from the classic digimon keychains, with replayability in evolving different monsters based on its care - but sprite work is something I’m still developing on and certainly not in time for the jam ^^;

I agree! The sprite work for another phase would’ve slowed me down a bit though, it’s something I need to get better at.

Very solid feel to an arcade schmup! My only suggestion is to also have mouse click fire as well instead of the wasd/space setup but outside of that great job! 👍

Haha, I love the theme of deliberately aggravating this guy into destroying his own stuff :P

I like the lighting effect, game has a very solid feel to it :)
