Thank you for writing in, Daniel!

Awesome intro for starters! You’ve got a really unique blend of experiences, and it shows. The way you took something as serious and real‑world as fraud analysis and turned it into a game concept that helps people stay safe is honestly brilliant. That’s the kind of creativity that sticks with people.

Pokemon Emerald is one of my favorite games in the series and arguably in my top 10 favorite games of all time, so I'm glad I have more fans of the game!

A horror game in the style of Stardew Valley is such a fun direction. That contrast — soft pixel art meets creeping dread — has so much potential. It’s the kind of idea that makes people curious before they even see a screenshot.

What really stands out, though, is your mindset. You’re not just making things; you’re learning, experimenting, and sharing the journey with the community. That’s exactly the energy that makes itch.io feel alive.

Can’t wait to see what you cook up next! :)

Thank you for your message Razuth!

That’s such an energizing introduction — your enthusiasm practically jumps off the page. It’s awesome to see someone who not only creates consistently but also genuinely invests in the wider itch.io community. Publishing a game a day for a month is a wild achievement; that kind of discipline and creative stamina is rare.

What really stands out is how you balance game development with exploring other creators’ work, giving feedback, and even hosting jams when inspiration strikes. That’s the kind of presence that makes a creative space feel alive.

A hundred followers built organically through passion and participation is something to be proud of — it means people aren’t just clicking a button, they’re sticking around because they like what you bring to the table.

If you’re diving into other people’s projects now, I’m sure plenty of folks will take you up on that offer to peek at their games. It’s always refreshing to have someone who understands the craft give thoughtful feedback.

Looking forward to seeing where your journey takes you next! :)

Thank you so much Sophie!

Have a blessed day! :)

Hi Sophie!

Welcome to the community! I completely agree—one of the best things about indie games is seeing how developers turn their ideas into something players can experience and connect with. It's always inspiring to watch a project evolve from an early concept into a finished game.

I also enjoy seeing developers take creative risks and experiment with unique mechanics, art styles, and storytelling approaches. Some of the most memorable games I've played have come from small teams or solo developers who weren't afraid to try something different.

I'm currently working on an action game called Project Slash in Unreal Engine 5, and it's been a great learning experience. Game development definitely comes with its challenges, but seeing a world come together piece by piece makes it all worthwhile.

Looking forward to seeing what projects catch your eye and hearing your thoughts on the games people share here.  I have some of my early projects on itch.io, and I'm grateful I had the skill pool to finish some projects with the help of some amazing and supportive people in my life. Welcome aboard! :)

Hi Bloof! That's really interesting! I like that you're approaching mindfulness games from a storytelling perspective rather than the typical minimalist app route. The sci-fi and alien themes sound like a unique way to create relaxing experiences while still giving players something engaging to connect with.

It's also awesome that you compose your own ambient music and draw inspiration from dreams—that probably adds a very personal touch to your projects. I'm an indie developer as well, and I know how much work goes into creating games, even the simpler ones. Everyone starts somewhere, and cozy games can be incredibly memorable when they're made with care.

Looking forward to seeing what you create next! :)

YOU KNOW WHAT'S UP! Yeah I remember first getting into it and published it with the intent to show some kids that I teach for free,  the outcome of what Godot teaches you. Super fun experience!

Thank you for sharing your story, Lio. It takes a lot of honesty to talk about procrastination, fear, and the pressure of living up to your own vision — and even more courage to push past all of that and finally begin. That shift you described, from holding yourself back to deciding “it’s time to start or I’ll never play the game I want,” is powerful. A lot of devs never reach that moment, so the fact that you did says a lot about your determination.

Your dream project sounds incredibly unique and such a bold, exciting mix. And choosing to build it from scratch shows real commitment to understanding the craft on your own terms. Tools only matter when they click with you, and it’s great that you finally found one that does.

Posting your first game, even a simple asteroid dodger, is a huge milestone. Most people never get that far. Starting with a traditional shoot ’em up as your next step is a smart way to build the skills you’ll need for your bigger vision.

I’m really glad you’re taking this leap, and I hope you keep being kinder to yourself along the way. You’ve already done one of the hardest things — you started. :)

Thank you so much for sharing your story, Blitz. It’s genuinely inspiring to hear how your path wound through gaming, writing, and storytelling before bringing you back to game development.  All those experiences you picked up along the way, especially your passion for writing, are going to give your games a depth and emotional core that a lot of developers spend years trying to cultivate.

I love how you described discovering agency-driven storytelling through Twine and DnD. That moment when you realize games can do something no other medium can — that spark is powerful, and it’s clear it lit something real for you.

You’re at the very beginning of your dev journey, but you’re already bringing a strong creative foundation with you. I’m really glad you’re here with all of us, and I’m excited to see where your writing and design instincts take you next. :)

Hey Pop Shop Packs!

My good friend, Jason, captured the game in art form. Fantastic job! :)

Hello Bez!

It is not. I had a good friend of mine named Jason, a very talented artist, make the cover for me. He absolutely crushed it, but if there's ever any doubts, I can change it to a more fitting, indie style cover :)

Have a blessed day Bez!

Hello everyone! I know often times we hear in the gaming industry to create those connections and get to know your fellow developers, and I couldn't agree more! I wanted to use this discussion as a safe space to get to know many of the wonderful members of the community and share your story. I'm not sure if this topic will take off or not, but let's give it a shot! I'll start:

My name is Jonathan, 27 years old (at the time of writing this) and gaming has obviously been my passion since the age of 3. I always told myself that I wanted to share my creations with the world and perhaps one day inspire people. During COVID, it was difficult to progress on my development journey, lost family members, and struggled overall, but that didn't stop me. For nearly two years, I worked extremely hard on my portfolio and when it came time to submit my portfolio for a BEGINNER course at college, it was rejected, told it wasn't good enough. This brought my spirits to an all time low. However, the dream that I always wanted to achieve was never gone. It was a hard fight, but I picked myself up and continued to push through. Eventually, after completing my first project (it's on itch) and playing many others games, I found the spark I thought I once lost. Ever since then, I've made it my hopeful long term goal to one day open my own gaming company and give opportunities to individuals who want that experience. Each journey begins with a small step, and appreciating all the members of my community has been an excellent way to go, and that brings me to this thread!

I hope to hear from everyone, and hope their journey is a beautiful one! :)

Quest For The Pencil

This is incredibly well done! The art, and gameplay is so addicting and fun to play through. I managed to conquer the demo and I wanted so much more after. Really great job overall, and if you guys need help with anything at all, I would gladly offer a helping hand. (If you ever need localization in Italian, I got you guys ;) )

The visual tutorial is awesome! Very well implemented! :)

If anything else comes up, I will most definitely inform you

A very huge request and I will absolutely add this in the next update :) I never got around to it, but I feel the motivation

The overall UI you provided is really solid! Lots of settings and things to play with. You sectioned them rather nicely.

If you want to make it even easier for a single player to learn, you can even implement a tutorial that shows how a pawn can be captured. I know there are tons of visual learners and a little indicator may help them comprehend the project furthermore :)

Overall, the project is really well done, and I commend you for your brilliant efforts!

Super cool concept! I love the detail that went into your UI and overall design of this project! :)

Thank you so much! Galaga was a huge inspiration for this project. I love the classic Namco games :)

Thank you so much for playing! Have a blessed day!

Hey everyone! I was finally able to complete (more or less) a fully playable game using the 3D components on the Godot game engine.

Nature's Advantage is a racing game in which the player competes with the CPU to race to the finish. The twist - there are 4 animals to choose from and each offer their own unique personality trait to the game and you must choose the best suited animal for the environment.
1. Cheetah - the fastest animal.
2. T-Rex - strongest animal, capable of knocking over boulders.
3. Phoenix - soaring through the skies, able to fly over pits.
4. Shark - master of the water, capable of swimming at high speeds.

I wish you all the best of luck in your races and I know you will do a fantastic job!

Have a blessed day! :)

You are awesome! Thank you for your kind words! :)

Have a blessed day!

I had a lot of fun playing this project and I commend you on a job well done! I love the concept and the game play was very well done overall. Awesome job! :)

This is honestly such a great and fun concept for a game. I love the interface and dragging and dropping words to form sentences. I can understand some people want to practice their order before it happens and then in the heat of the moment, we lose track of everything we wanted to say. I love it so much, amazing job! :)

A really fun and interesting twist on Minesweeper! I love the light addition to make the game that much more challenging. You did such an awesome job! :)

That red cube stood zero chance versus me. I loved spamming away and letting out the frustration. This was honestly a great game and I hope to see it develop more and more. Awesome job! :)

I truly felt the sexy with this one. I really loved the visuals, sounds, and game play overall. You did such an awesome job! :)

Super straightforward and wonderful golf game! You did a great job capturing the fun element of mini golf and I commend you for a job well done! :)

This is a very visually and audibly beautiful project. I had a lot of fun playing this one . Wonderful job! :)

Lots of pew pew, lots of fun, lots of pain. I loved this project! Awesome job! :)

Firstly, the title of your game is a certified banger xD
Secondly, I LOVE THE CONCEPT. Super random, but I loved every bit of it. I wanted to get a few of the different endings so I have multiple reasons to want to continue playing the game. Wonderful job! :)

This is a very visually appealing 3D project you have here. It's a challenge for sure and I loved it. The UI is another thing to highlight and I think it was very well done. Overall, amazing job! :)

I love the visuals and the art style of this project! I know you mentioned it is unfinished, but this is honestly a fantastic demo and I look forward to all the updates coming up. Wonderful job! :)

This is such a great project! I got so many vibes of Rolling Thunder and I absolutely loved every aspect of it. The fact there's even a story is incredible. A lot of love was clearly put into this project. Fantastic job! :)

Very BOUNCY! I love the 3D physics you used in the game. You really delivered on this one. Awesome job! :)

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'll continue to expand on it and do it more justice :)

Have a blessed day!

Such an inspirational tale xD. I absolutely loved the satire and comedic approach this game took on. You absolutely cracked me up and I loved every second of it. Wonderful job! :)

This is such a cute looking game. I love the way things play out and it offers a fun challenge for sure. This was simply wonderful and you should be proud of your work! Amazing job! :)

I really enjoyed playing this game and I look the bug fix mechanic in the game. It added a fun layer of confusion and challenge for the player and I genuinely enjoyed it a lot. You did such a wonderful job! :)

Very wonderfully done game! I guess these are the sidequests my grandma is on xD I absolutely love the goofiness of the game, but I really like typer challenges and this delivered. Amazing job! :)
