Post links to your games down here and I'll play each and every one and give you feedback.

It would be much appreciated if you could do the same with my game!

Really really beautiful game. By far the best art I have seen in this game jam so far. The cooking minigame brought me to my limits I just couldn't wrap my head around it. It's nice that it's there but by god was it frustrating xD. I had a few UI bugs here and there where the E prompt wouldn't show up anymore or where I entered the second morse code minigame but the dialogue was still going. The music options do nothing for me so Idk if it's a bug or you just didn't have time to implement it. I really liked the narrative and the charming voice acting. All in all what a wonderful game and really really good job. You can tell the passion that went into it and with more time and fine tuning this could be a really good narrative little adventure. Good job!

Thank you!

Yes, we absolutely could have used more time to implement more informative tutorials. The vanishing 'E's is by design, there is a small '?' button in the top that toggles them on and off, so they are meant to go away after the first time you use them, but should turn back on. As the for music slider, I believe that's because of an HTML bug that we were tracking and never managed to eliminate. The end of the game on HTML only, spits an audio bus index error on js, so we took a hatchet to the audio buses in an attempt to isolate the bug, but never readded the Music bus back to the game.

We'd love more feedback on our game!  I'll play yours as well!

Really good work from everyone involved. I liked the different shields for the different types of bullets, reminded me a lot of Touhou Project. The AI was a bit lost here and there once they lost sight of me so I think the best approach for these types of bullet hell games is to make the AI always see the player and rotate towards the player with a margin for the bullets to miss the player. The boss was really cool allthough a bit easy because he just didn't do a whole lot of damage and his shots were easily dodgable. I loved the design especially with the UI. You guys did a great job and I really enjoyed the game. Please keep working on it because I see a loooot of potential in the game.

Check out my little pirate game! I'm trying to decide if I can turn sailing mechanics into game mechanics. Does it work?

I'll have a look at yours tonight!

That's a really cool and unique idea. It would be really interesting if the wind would change directions from time to time adding just that bit of challenge and always having to adapt on top of the ships rotation. If it already does that then I'm sorry and I just didn't notice it xD. Only thing I'm missing is some kind of reward or aim in the game. I played for like 10 minutes and I was just avoiding the tentacles at some point because it was just risk and no reward. I love the shading going on in the game and all the little effects for hit response and visible damage on the ship or the fade out effect for when you respawn. I can see a lot of love for details that went into this game. Great game, just needs some kind of reward system for defeating those tentacles and some kind of goal. Great job!

Thanks for checking out my game. I just had a look at MadMan. I liked the pixelized bloodred aesthetics and how it feels like an old school boomer shooter where you go super fast after you get a few upgrades. I was basically superhuman by the end of it. I dig the drum & bass soundtrack too. My strategy was to play it very safe at the start of a wave, essentially just running around like a shepherd dog corralling the zombies into one big mass. Then I would take out the runners using my trusty boomstick. After that, it was basically mopping up, the rest of the enemies weren't much of a threat except when spawning in. Some critique points:

- May have been a bug, but I think the enemies should only spawn from the map's edges so they can't spawn on top of the player.
- Due to the franticness of learning the game and the beginning of the waves, I didn't actually pick up most of the weapons until about Wave 3. Maybe they could just be automatically grabbed by walking over them.
- It would have been cool to move between some different areas. That would also give a chance for more exploration and health pickups which eventually run out.
- The boss encounter was a bit buggy, he teleported around and clipped halfway into the floor for me, and my healthbar disappeared for some reason too

All in all, this is a pretty fun retro shooter! I imagine our hero is furious what his hometown has become and is just too angry to die.

Yea I also planned another area but couldn't do it in time. So before half assing sth I focused on one good level. It's my first jam and doing it solo really makes you respect the scope of your game xD. As for the bugs I hopefully fixed everything you mentioned. Thank you very much for playing and your very valuable feedback!

Yo, I really liked your game man, I gave the feedback in general channel!

Really lovely game and I love the Hollow Knight inspiration! Cool idea with the rythm based attacks, haven't really seen that from anyone else and making soundwaves your attacks is a cool approach on the waves theme. I had quite a few bugs while I played it in the web and in the executable build. It's a game jam though so that's expected xD. After talking to the first NPC there's an area where there are platforms you can't reach without having the double jump first. I still managed to get up there by hitting the enemy in front of the platform, boosting me up enough to get there and when I went through the entrance that's above the normal entrance it automatically took me to the credits and just broke the whole game. I couldn't attack anymore and there was no background music. Idk what happened there but I don't think that's intended xD. All things aside it's a really passionate game and I can tell that you put a buuuunch of hard work in it especially in the design aspect. Good job to everyone involved!

Submitted

Oh yeah, that area you got by hitting the enemy was the final area ☠️☠️ You were not suppose to get it, till you get the double jump & dash xD Thank you so much for your feedback, I really appreciate it!!!

I am downloading and trying your game now.  Here's my submission link - play in browser, a scrabble game with a WAVES theme.

Mad Man:  A fast paced hack and slash them all sound track got me running but I was unable to pick up anything with the E key.  Nice look and feel and with the sound and zombies would be a suitable Horror game entry.  Not sure why I couldn't pick up and use any of the weapons.  I'll have to try again later today.

Can't go wrong with a good game of scramble. I liked the power ups system. Really cool and ambitious project and what a cool idea to have it in multiplayer and seeing what everyone else came up with. A lot of time and effort went into this and with a bit more time this could really be a fantastic full release. Keep working on it and good job!

As for the pickup system in my game, it should work. You just need to stand close enough to the weapon and use 1, 2, 3 or left or right on the D-Pad to switch between primary, secondary or melee weapon. I downloaded my game and tried it for myself and everything works as intended. Keep me updated if it works for you!

I just got back in and of course, now pressing the 1,2,3 to choose weapon I was able to get past Wave 1 - satisfying.  Good job there, I'll have to peak at the GitHub and see some of that code.  I've dabbled with ThreeJS in my own 3d FPS, but it's not near what I'd like it to be yet.   Take care and good job on those killing WAVES you ManMan!

I'll be sure to play yours as well, but I don't have the time right now. I'll play it tonight!

Really solid game, it's very well optimized I wasn't faced with any bugs in my playthrough. Very cool artstyle and I loved the music. Everything fitted very well to each other. I can see that a lot of love was put into this game and it gave me the nostalgic feeling of playing a retro platformer. The levels were very well designed and it was overall such a good experience to play it. Good job to everyone involved with EVAW. Keep working on it and consider making it into a fleshed out full release!

Very cool game! I liked the prodigy-esque music, the sounds, the graphics (good use of fog) and the general feel of the shooting.

I beat the demon, and than got to a place where I made multiple speed/hp upgrades, and I seem to be able to go across the screen in a second :) It was really fun, but I wasn't sure if the game developed beyond that

I think the game needs some more variety of enemies, and maybe a slower progression to keep the game interesting for longer. Regardless, it's really well made

This is our game if you want to give it a go:

There's so much content in your game. A lot of characters, dialogue and a bunch of levels. I found it a bit too easy because they didn't do a whole lot of damage if you always hit the timing well but very interesting concept. I loved the artstyle. All in all very charming game and a looot of potential. If you flesh out the combat a bit and maybe add some exploration I can see this being a really cool game. Good job to everyone involved!

Great game I gave you more feedback on your page.

Here is our game, I'd love to hear your feedback! It's a racing game with some arcadey physics and over the top level design.

Very funny game whoever did the SFX deserves a nobel prize xD. I really enjoyed the map layout and overall I enjoy the style. The gameplay is a bit janky and I had a bug where I was so fast because I kept using the boost that my character glitched into a building and just got stuck there. I had to start over after it xD. I like it a lot tho you just need to flesh out the controls a bit so turning has at least a little bit of a purpose and maybe do something about the hit detection. Great job to everyone involved!

The visuals are veeery sick and gameplay is nicely polished. I got much to learn from you. What you could improve perhaps, adding something that discourages the player from circling around the mobs.

Played through all of the 10 levels. Interesting idea and fun to play. Some of the levels were a bit overkill with the waves but cool game overall. Didn't face any bugs and were able to play through the whole game. Good job!

cool game, gave me half life vibes which I am all up for. the character design and pixel-ish look really brings be back to the early days of half life and cs 1.6 (playind on 3d not opengl :P) here is my submission and I would love your feedback: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2025/rate/4085175

cool idea I like the tower defense-esque gameplay and the work you put in for the lore and the explanations. I would maybe improve on the difficuly because it was a bit too easy. All in all good job!

thanks for playing, you can configure the difficulty in the options from normal -> hard

Loved your game, the pixel art was really great. Would love to see more variety of enemies.
Heres my game. It an arcade game with fast paced sci fi actions. Please let me know what you think about it.

Interesting idea but I didn't really see the waves theme. Idk if it's the vaporwave style of the game but the game itself is quite far off the waves thematic. I didn't really understand the sudden color changes of the player ball and sometimes even the enemies. I was not sure if it's intended or if it was a bug. The controls are a bit clunky and you don't have full control over the player ball. Interesting concept and if you flesh it out a bit maybe with power ups or cool combos and color mixing perhaps it could be a fun little game. Despite everything I still have fun so good job!

I’ll be glad to play your game (I’ll reply to this message in a lil bit)

I like the artstyle and the music had a bop to it. I couldn't really dig the sin waves idea no matter how much I tried to like it. It was just more frustrating than it was challenging. It's an intuitive idea but wasn't really something for me. The camera was also a bit weird sometimes. I think for those 2D platformers it's better to keep the camera in one position because you move a lot in this game and change directions a lot. So it does get a bit shaky when you play it. Despite everything it was still a cool game and you put a lot of love into it. Great job!

Hi there! I'd appreciate some feedback too:) I'll send you some feedback once I've had a chance to play

I can see that you put a lot of effort into the art of the game. It looks really unique and no other game really does that. However, the gameplay is a bit on the lower end and it was really repetitive really fast. If you maybe had some more obstacles to avoid or maybe a way to explore it would be way more exciting to see what's next. Despite everything, I did have fun and you did a good job!

Submitted

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah it does get pretty repetitive after a certain point, I didn't really give myself any time to plan much of the game out before starting to mess around and it really suffers from that lol. I'm glad you had some fun with it tho!

As for your game, I found it really fun to play! The music is great, the art is nice, simple and really strengthened by the effects. Most of the weapons felt pretty good to use with the notable exception of the melee weapons which I couldn't really figure out, and I will say that the AK ended up being the main thing I used since I could just hold it down. I feel like the enemies were pretty fun to maneuver around and the boss did feel a bit like it was just a normal enemy with a lot more health and not much more going on (I also experienced a bug where after firing at the boss for a few seconds it would teleport away and never teleporting back), maybe it could send out some projectiles or summon some other enemies to make things a bit more interesting for that part. The movement in the game feels great too, especially once you've gotten an upgrade or two in. Overall you did a great job! Hope to play another one of your games some time soon

Due to my computer not running Windows I wasn't able to try any Windows-only game (most recently posted games here were, including the OP's game Madman). I did just rate GargantuaM87's Sinful Waves, as it was playable in the browser. Pretty neat game.

Would love to hear your thoughts and have your ratings on my game: https://itch.io/jam/game-off-2025/rate/4080214.
And yes, we can now rate any game we want after having rated 5 from the queue!
