The game looks and feels really cool! I loved the simple art style, and the audio was just perfect.

I kept running into an issue were I couldn't fix inactive towers. I clicked e three times, but it said that the ability is on cooldown. I wasn't sure if I didn't got something or if it's a bug

It was nice that you can play any level, and trying some of them the game looks very feature rich. very cool

The effects and UI were really top notch, really unique idea with the various overlays.

On the first night, I tried to retraced my steps, but eventually got the a pitch black area without green arrows and I wasn't sure where I am, and than my shelter got destroyed.

On my second attempt I tried to get back to the shelter before the night and it went much better. I think you don't really see the shelter if there is no green arrow on top of it? At some parts of the island I could see fade traces. The trace idea was nice, but I think making it a little easier would be helpful

Also, the idea of collecting wood and energy just to survive is fine basis, but it was missing some development and audio for me to want to try more nights

Really good job with the effects, great base for a game

Awsome game! Felt really complete, and was really fun

At first  I was really lost on what i should be doing (I didn't read the description :)), but it was clear after a few tries. The core idea was solid, and like others said - with some audio and more development this one can be really cool

Fantastic game over screen BTW! Saw it pretty fast :)

Fantastic game, with amazing polish - it felt really complete in terms of everything - story, controls, UI.. The music was really good too. Maybe the only feedback I can give is that there was lack of feedback when hitting enemies

The first wave with the birds and jellyfish was really nerve wrecking.. I tried it 3 times and it took everything from me... so I gave up on wave 7 lol. I think the idea of the color wavt is really unique, and execution is really well done - I liked that enemies can still be hit even if it's not exact color match.. at the end of the day but changing the colors was a little awkward and wasn't fun enough to push through the last wave (I assume)

It's a shame I didn't see the ending, but the game  was well done - good job!

Very unique art! I really enjoyed the whimsical buildings and the cool creature animations - the fact that the wisps circle the tree made me really happy for some reason

I honestly a little sick of clicker game, so I pushed myself until the soul gathering phase, but couldn't bring myself to play anymore.. I think the fact you can't make the void building work faster (at least at the point I got to), and also I think the game pause if you go to another tab? Otherwise I might play more, even if it's just just to see the art and animations

It looks like there's a ton of content in the game, and everything works really well and has tremendous charm - very good job!

The audio design was superb! It really felt like a cave

I'm not sure I "got" the game. It seem to suggest I should use the right click to do the light thing when the monster is near, and maybe also turn around to see if it's their when the waves are loud? I never found them monster really - but I did found a picture of someone (the dev?), and it was a little repetitive to keep draging to move forward, and I actually wasn't sure if I was caught and the game looped back?

Still, the atmosphere is second to none, and if I saw the monster I would probably get a heart attack, so maybe it's for the best :)

Great game! I loved the music and art, even though it was simple.  I liked the double wave idea. I appricated the tutorial and the weapon recommendation - it was really a great idea, as I assume you had fun implemented various weapons, and recommended the ones who worked the best - I tried all of them, and my favourite is the one that rapid fire and bounce around

It was a little bit of a slog though, as there were only 2 enemies, and you unlock weapons slowly. Honestly the only upgrades I took were damage/fire rate - the rest seemed less needed. Also the game didn't full sized properly for me - it stay on the top left

I tried to screenshot the last screen but windows didn't save it for me for some reason - I think I survived to wave 23 or something like that - with more enemy variety and maybe faster progress and less issues, this one could be really awsome. Great job!

The graphics are really well done, and the music is fun!

I really think I missed something with the game - I hit enemies, nothing seem to be developed beyond the dash? There is no hit feedback, and the hit detection seem a bit off, so right not it's a bit too unforgiving for me to try it for more than a few minutes at a time.

Very cool game, looks and sound awesome!

Very unique game! The effects were out of this world, and the audio and music integration were really good.

To be honest, it was a little frustrating to navigate the maze, mainly because I wasn't sure were I should be going. Also the experience was very short and I was left hungry for more

I think this one could be developed more, and maybe make everything more gradual - I really liked the sound particles at the start and I wish there were more; I think the changing maze was maybe a little too annoying to begin with; and it's really calls for more powers like the shouting.

Very cool game, well done!

Shooting felt great! The art style was partly good, although some effects were obviously just red circles/rectangles. The sound effects simple but effective, and the music got repeated pretty fast.

I liked the variety of enemies, and just wished the progression was a little more interesting

It's seem like I couldn't die at all. I stood and let enemies touch me and didn't die

Great atmoshere and music! I really liked the enmies spawning from the wave, and the fact that it got more intense

I didn't seem to die when enemies ganged up on me? Wasn't sure about that. Anyway, great work

The game is really well done, the number of enemies is really impressive, and I really liked the music.

I think I'm missing something, as the number of enemies get really massive real soon, and the rate of gem collection is too slow to get the upgrades. I did understand that the minimap can be used to see were the enemies were thinner, but I found that I was quickly overwhelmed

Great polish on this one, well done

Great atmosphere and music! I liked the art too

The controls felt a little a little clunky to me. Needing to move each unit turn by turn and click end turn didn't felt great, and there were little things like not being able to select the middle building and not understanding why was also weird

It's obvious that great effort was done here, and with a little more accessibility this was could be wonferful game

I appricated the depth in the instructions, and the idea of limiting the view port of the player, but give them general directions and landmarks to navigation is interesting. I wonder if there are too many features in the games (e.g, multiplayer), where maybe more polish would be helpful

The animations are beautiful, and I liked the fact that there are also diagonal ones

I didn't get how to play :( it's a shame because what's seen on screen looks neat

I'm not sure if it's a a bug, but the pink message the explain the powers cover lots of tiles - this also true for the tutrial messages

Thanks for playing our game! There are 2 bosses later down the line with a little more development, but I know we focused a lot on the story and polish, and maybe not enough on variety.. It's a good point.

Very cool game! I liked the prodigy-esque music, the sounds, the graphics (good use of fog) and the general feel of the shooting.

I beat the demon, and than got to a place where I made multiple speed/hp upgrades, and I seem to be able to go across the screen in a second :) It was really fun, but I wasn't sure if the game developed beyond that

I think the game needs some more variety of enemies, and maybe a slower progression to keep the game interesting for longer. Regardless, it's really well made

This is our game if you want to give it a go:

This is what game jams are for! Really interesting game.

The art style on the mushroom level is really special, although I think there was way too much fog.. but the sky box and the trees are really unique

On the city level - I wasn't sure what to do at first, but after roaming around some and seeing the text on the floor at became clearer. The physics were really funny. I was able to complete 3 tasks before the character didn't move anymore, and when pressing escape I accedinatelly quit the game :(

I tried the mushroom part again for like 5 times but couldn't beat it again, even on easy mode, I think the dinasour sound are really genius and nerve wrecking, but it's was too much for me.

It's a shame, because I would love to see if there was more. Really bizzare and experimintal game. Impressive work!

Excellent entry!

I liked the art, music, sound and gameplay. The idea was pretty unique too, even though it also felt familiar. I appriciated the tutorial, and the varitey of powers and enemies

The UI on my end was a bit problematic - the description of the color powers covered the board and made everything harder to see. There was similar issue in the powers list - at the end you have so many upgrades, and you do seem to need to swap between them to beat the final boss, and the list part was very small which made things difficult. The full screen button didn't work for me, so it made everything cramped.

I had lots of fun, enough to beat the game, which have healty amount of content. I stuggled on normal, and so I'm not sure I'm ready for hard mode yet :) My strategy at the end was to focus on my color with: swap tile to the color + increase damage when passing the color + boss -> minions + minions -> boss. I'm sure there are other strategies as well

This is our game if you want to try, we would love to hear feedback

Nice game! I couldn't beat level 7

I think it would be nice to have a counter on screen before you get into the infinite waves - or just lose at this point, or else just allow to beat the levels with infinite waves - they are hard enough! I wasn't sure why I was losing at first

The idea is cool and I liked the variety in the levels. Good job!

Interesting idea! I reached wave 7 and had no money left - only had the chopper and I probably couldn't fend off al the fires. I wasn't sure how to earn more money, if it's even possible?

The controls  took some getting used to - for example, for shutdown camp - the circle wasn't super obvious. In general, there seem to be some internal "state" of the current action that is not very visible, and so you click on things without realizing what they do

I think a more obvious way to make money would allow the player to experiment more and get used to all the actions and what they do. I never seen a forest fire sim and the idea is really interesting! Would love to see this one developed

The movement felt great, and the tutorial is highliy appriciated. The idea of matching weapon frequency to enemies is interesting. I think in need some more development, as I personally found it hard to match the tones just by hear, so I had to scroll over all the tones and strafe around the enemy while doing that. It was very close to something that could work for sure

Very nice game! I feel like you really nailed the ship to ship combat - the steering felt right the cannon felt powerful. Also the progression was fun. I'm not sure the potions were really needed though - seem like it's better to just upgrade the ship. I also felt like it was too zoomed in - I constantly needed to click on the spyglass

The pixel art was really good - but it was a little funny that the island is so beautiful, and the sea were you do the actual combat is just plan texture with some ships on it, which is what you look at for most of the game

I had a weird bug were after defeting the summoning boss - I went to the shipyard and maxed out the upgrades, but it's seem like ships were shooting me while it happens (heards cannons and saw my hp drop), and than I got the game over screen lol. Pirates never play fair I guess :)

Hi guys, I don't see anything :( pressing F doesn't seem to do anything, it's all black

Wow lots of variety in this one! The animations of the enemies are really good

I felt the fish were way too fast.. they seem to match the player speed, and they are pretty strong for an early enemy

I tried all characters and most of the upgrades and they were all cool. Impressive work for your first game!

The idea is really original and cool! I really like the touch were the menu was in (I guess?) braille

I could navigate in the room, but it felt like e wasnt' doing anything? I pressed it on the green and purple objects but it didn't really feel like it was doing anything. At some point I clicked on the mouse button and I somehow got a gun, and than I died, and it was again wasn't very clear

I almost wish it was more exploration focused game, because the effect of not seeing anything and than gradually making out the shapes is really amazing and unique. Very well done!

Never been prouder to score 1 point lol. Took me about 5 minutes :)

It's a little weird that the sync jumps to 98% for one peg, and I'm not sure if the height of the wave affects anything

The graphics and sounds were minimal but effective for this style of game. Well done!

(1 edit)

I liked the little touches with the graphics and gameplay - the way the ship moves, the alarm, the fact that asteroids are pulled to the black hole and continue on the path

Right now there is not too much game, and I'm not sure if the difficulty escalates? Would love to see this one more developed!

Wonderful entry! Superb voice acting and very nice music. I also liked the cute graphics - they were perfect for the overall feeling of the game. The concept reminded me of Firewatch, but with a more twisted ending :) the messages really help to break down the monotony fishing

If I had to give some small suggestions - you get a sound for successful fishing when you hit e correctly, but the sound of the rod getting up is much more noticable and it's the same if you suceed or fail. Also, I thought there is not much point to progress to deeper waters before upgrading the more expensive rod - since half of the fish in the deeper waters require it, and you have access to the less valuable fish already

But those are nitpicks for a really charming entry with perfect length. Good job!

Very cool idea and interpertation of the theme!

In practice I feel like the boat was too hard to control, or at least I didn't figure out how. Also on my first run I could see the star and aim for it, but on my second one I couldn't, and I didn't see option to look around

I really liked the idea of boat floating in space, and the sinking animation - very good use of simple graphics and effects

Thanks! Now I played the game and it was very fun :) (Maybe adding a small instruction of "scroll to see more" in game will do the trick, and it's nice you put some on the page as well)

I tried to beat the 2nd level 3 times and didn't make it lol. But it was fun trying and I'm glad I beat the 1st level. I like that the game escalate very quickly, and the 3rd upgrade of each tower feels very powerful which is appropriate

It was in fact so powerful that I couldn't see what's going on :) especially with the one that create yellow circle. The HP of my base and the enemies was a little hard to make and so it was hard to understand what's effective, and you seem to implemented many interactions which is good - but I think this is why I had trouble progressing

I really like the music and the style felt cohesive overall - maybe I'll give the 3rd level a try just to see the cool enemies :)

Cute game! I couldn't beat the boss :( But it was fun crushing the bugs

Very impressive! You created a whole little world, and I liked the little touches like exiting the vehicle by clicking on the door. Keeps you immersed

I was able to tune to the 2nd frequency, and I understood that I need to track the signal with the device in the car - but I couldn't find it - it lead me to some wall, and when I exited the car it kicked me to the elevator, I assume because I was on the darkness for too long. Honestly the first frequency, I just followed the road, and didn't use the device.

Small things I see that can be improved - subtitles (I appriciated that fact you wrote the frequency above the machine - but it could be nice if I can see it when I tinker with it), sound balance (sounds/music was too loud sometimes), and maybe tutorial for slow people like me :)

Great job!

Hi Guys! I opened the game, got the the tutorial page, but I can't progress beyond it. Pressed every key I can think off. Will be happy to play it once it's fixed :)

I think the idea of is cool, just creating scenes of a caveman like creating fire, fight, etc

I wonder if streamlining the controls could help - there were so many keys and mouse involved, which on one hand might be intended to express the various things you're doing, but in practice - maybe the effort should have gone elsewhere, like improving the responsivness of the controls in the fight against the killer goat.

Also the art was sort of a pixel art, but with each "pixel" having different size and gradient color, which is a little jarring. Overall it didn't look bad, but little things like not having white line above the head, can help

Loved the artwork! Not sure I got the game - it told me I got a wrong soil, although it gave the correct plant shape. Still, it was fun creating plants :)
