The 2D/2D mixing was neat, the design of the host and the audience was good.

Said audience and the way they were staring at me was a tad scary. And while I'm not sure if this was more scary or funny, the bit where they started to throwing junk was great, mainly the knifes, that was good..

Although I do wish they were a tad more, reactive? Like from the looks of it at least it's a game about getting murder on a stage for the funnies, and a bit more from them would help sell that idea to me. Booing when the player stays alive, laughing when they  get hurt, that sort. But I don't know, maybe that's just me.

I bugged past a wall and fell into the void, then having to reload the game.. Also I got the replacement ending.

So yeah neat game.

Thank you for the in-depth review! I agree with everything you pointed out. I also wanted the audience to a bit more reactive as well but alot of things got left due to the timing.

I got the compliance and replacement ending. Really enjoyable little game! Also, love the general aesthetic and the piano music!

Really amazing presentation on this one! I did fall through the map my first time playing, and I seem to have gotten punished for not following orders even though I tried to go along with them my first time through. Very impressive to have made this in the short period!

Really enjoyed the artistic direction, the 2D/3D mix, the black and white, the music... Very strong aesthetic!

It would be nice to get a little more feedback when you use the objects (I wasn't sure my hits were landing when I was attacking the host), but for a game made in a single week, that's already amazing.

Love the design of the Host btw, that's a whole creature!

Aesthetic was what we were going for, I'm glad we nailed it! But as a consequence the gameplay suffered a bit. Glad to hear you enjoyed it :)

It's a week long jam, it's really difficult to make something 100% polished! It was still fun to play, and that's more important imho than a lot of things.

The cover art caught my eye and I was not dissapointed after playing - the visuals are really nice! I like the pencil-like look on both characters and environment, mix of 2D and 3D is also well done. I got compliance, but I may play again if I have more time, as I have a feeling there's more secrets waiting for me in here :>>>

Developer

Thank you so much! Both the 3d and 2d artists were amazing. Let me know if you play again :)

Really enjoyed this one! Got 2 of the endings :>

Developer

Awesome! Which ones did you get?

I think it was the bad ending and the one where you take the place of the ringmaster

this was really creative!

Gets you to think out of the box xD

There was a bug I felt out of the arena when grabbing a bottle otherwise, great game!

Really cool game!

I love the setting, and the atmosphere was great too. The dead eyes of the audience gave me the creeps for sure. Oo

The full-screen button wouldn’t work for me, and I fell through the floor next to the bottle on the table once. Maybe you could also consider closing the back-stage area to make the player feel more trapped. Otherwise, everything felt super polished!

The most horrifying things are those eyes of the audience.

Nice game, I really like the aesthetics in this one. The grin of the audience is pretty unnerving. The piano music was also adding to that whimsical, black and white messed up theatre experience!

The storybook vibe of the art and sound are really nice! I played in the browser and the game took a long time to load, but I had no real issues once the game started

The visuals and audio pretty good

Very cool game, love the visuals and concept! There was one instance where i got hit by something thrown from the audience and it threw me of the map and i kept falling. Other than that, very good job!

Really cool idea and love the aesthetics of this game. Great work!

Cool visuals!

Great art — quite unsettling, in a very good way. I really liked it!

Submitted(+1)

Cool art and sound design. I had a small bug where no items loaded after the knife which made it very confusing, but it was enjoyable enough to play a second time :) I got both Compliance + Replacement.

you guys did a pretty cool game, well done!

This game is awesome! Maybe I'm weird, but I think your game has a cute art style, and its soundtrack is great!

Was it possible to live at the last stage?

Developer

There are two ways to clear it. You can either get the lighter from the top of the left stairs and set fire to the areas indicated by the spot lights.  Or you can get the lighter then go to the right of the stage get the bottle and then go to the left to get some cloth and interact with the host when he is chasing you.
