I'm definitely excited to share my other ideas! It probably won't be for a while (especially since I've got to get better at coding) but it's something I want to deliver on.

thank you so much! it was really fun doing the art while playing with the vibes of videotome.

glad you enjoyed the game!!

Really solid pacing. I honestly loved getting more sicknesses to treat and different medications as time progressed.

Super cute!

Since it’s for a jam, I had to start with the theme of parasitism and built from there. I loved the idea of both a literal parasite and what some people might consider a “parasite” from a social standpoint.

Really loved the look of this game and the concept itself is super creative

Very good audio design, and the character sprites are so charming. I'd say the pixel art backgrounds kind of clash with the rest of the style, but they come together more with the font and sfx for the text. The Clerk was really cute, so I feel bad for them!

thank you so much! I really wanted to do a unique spin on the idea of a parasite, and I'm happy with the response it's getting !

Really solid and creative! Loved the visual style and there's so much tension in the brief moment before you get your results.

Seconding the sentiment that ren'py might be good for a narrative focused experience! An option to increase the text scroll at the beginning or just naturally advance it would be nice as it kind of kills the pacing.

Fun idea! I like the geometric shapes for the visuals. Could probably have used a better indication of what and wasn't interactable

Some indication of controls at the beginning would have probably gone a long way, but the chunky pixel style is very charming.

Really stylish visuals! As for the gameplay, a screen for controls or controls in the description would have helped a bit. The enemies are a little unforgiving with their blasts not vanishing even after you beat them. The ability to shoot their attacks or a little more HP would have been great.

Took a little while to get grips on the combat, but I enjoyed that was very forgiving and allowed me to piece together how to attack. I loved the boss fight at the end. This gave me SNES vibes like older 2D zelda and metroid vibes.

Amazing game with a fun take on the theme. I adored the presentation. I got high empathy and a human conscious level, but each decision really was tough!

Funnily enough I've never seen Severance, but it's on my "to watch" list. I've only heard good things about it so I'm honored to know the vibes were similar. Thank you so much for the compliments on the writing, and I really hope I have the chance to expand on this further.

I'm 100% willing to admit the ending was the weakest part. I've already got plans for a remake/expansion for this game at a later point. Still, very glad you had a good time with it!

Thank you! Fina was a joy to write just because of how messy she is. I'm glad that came through! I got very invested in such a short time, and it makes me happy that everything came together well.

Honestly I was crunching myself at the end. It's why the ending is pure CGs and no sprites! I'm glad it was still able to resonate though

I'm glad you were able to enjoy it! and I'm very happy with the themes and other things people are walking away with

maybe one day!

I used posterization in clip studio paint for the most part, and then some gradient maps to adjust the colors! I also apply a gaussian blur and turn the opacity down on that really low for a dreamy look.

This is a really, really solid game! The art is stunning! The character designs have so much personality. Super cool that you got multiple endings in here

Played around with this for a bit, but without a clear interact key/input it was a little hard to tell if there was more to do besides walk around.

Your daughter's art is lovely! I liked the concept of having to remember some of the phrases on the walls.

Fun idea, love the idea of something like snake but you're a little parasite. I'd say the interactions with the white blood cells can be a little unforgiving, especially with the power up nodes slowing you down. They might be better as a one time pick up.

Genuinely obsessed with the visual style of this game. The sound is amazing too, and the beginning is great at building tension. I will say the second half is a little less right just due to it being unclear what does and doesn't lead to a death.

Love the living building idea, but this game could have benefited from either some or more obvious camera controls so it'd be easier to see the arrows.

Oh my goodness! I'd never expect a playthrough like this! I'm super glad you enjoyed it, and I love this video a lot!!

Thank you! It's something I wouldn't mind revisiting to polish up at a later date!

The game is about a shut in who gets a brain parasite who forces her to be more social and fix her life.

I'm making a visual novel and I'm pretty close to the end of my script (about 3k words already)

Really loved the aesthetics here. The GUI is stylish and the character designs are fun! Music would have definitely helped. Excited to see where this goes since it's a demo!

Really stylish and fun experience! It's so impressive that you got this done in the jam period! I love all the different scenarios and endings.

Really amazing presentation on this one! I did fall through the map my first time playing, and I seem to have gotten punished for not following orders even though I tried to go along with them my first time through. Very impressive to have made this in the short period!

An interesting narrative that's really on a slowburn. It definitely had me on the hook. I did feel bad for Myr in the end.

A little hard to get a handle on the controls, but the vibes and aesthetics of this game are solid- especially the music!

Very scary and put me on edge with the amazing use of sound. Felt like I could never let my guard down.

Very cute game!! The overall look of everything was great. I loved the premise, but I also had a hard time getting the last fragments

Fun idea! Evoked nostalgia for those old typing games we'd play in school
