Awesome concept with a great execution that got me genuinely hooked right from the first round! :D I think this game has a ton of potential and I would love to see it expanded. But the current version already works really well and is damn impressive for a student project. Great work!

Very interesting game that really gets you thinking, good job! Also, supplying some optional hints and solution via Google Drive was a nice idea!
Scrolling through the books felt great but I had a lot of trouble putting them back on the shelf each time, seems like their grab collision is a bit bugged.
Haha, I know the feeling. :p
I think it wouldn’t have been an issue if you weren’t able to accidently break the blocks while being in the shop tough. One tip I can give for the future: in most engines you can make UI Elements stop the mouse so it’s impossible to click things underneath them. Otherwise, if you’d used an Input Action system you could have simply disabled the mining input while inside the shop.
Haha nice pun! xD The idea was to make an educational puzzle game that teaches different aspects of binary logic and goes more in depth with each level, so players keep diving deeper into the topic. Since I only managed to finish the circuit simulation itself I can see how the idea didn’t came across quite as well. Now that I’ve build a solid basis I think I can still make the puzzle mode happen tough. :)
Anyways, thanks for playing!
Fun and relaxing game with a satisfying upgrade mechanic, I like it! Reminded me a bit of Steam World Dig which is one of my favourite games. :D
I think some extra feedback when breaking blocks would have been very nice, especially some indication how close you are to breaking it. I also locked myself out of the first shopkeeper on my first try as I broke the blocks underneath him. On my second run I made it all the way to the bottom tough!
Thanks for playing and good point with the music!
Could you futher explain what you mean by “hook up more then 1 thing to the components”? Each output can be connected to any number of inputs, but each input can only be connected to a single output as binary logic gates don’t allow for more than one value per input. (I’ll make sure to add additional color coding to make this clearer tough.) Or do you mean you would like an option to quickly connect multiple components at once? Creating a chain with a switch, gate and bulb should definitely be possible tough, so maybe you just ran into a bug. 😅
One tip for the web build: You should make sure that the itch viewport size matches the window size you chose when exporting (plus some extra height for the bottom widget). I would also recommend disabling the itch fullscreen button for a unity web build as only the unity fullscreen button in the included widget will work properly.
Very polished and fun platformer! The core mechanic is great and was utilized very well in the levels. I also really liked the character art! The button layout was a bit awkward for me as pressing both the jump and swap button at the same time is very hard with the same hand. I managed to make it work by crossing my hands and pressing wasd with the left and q with the right hand tough. :D
Here’s my final score:

Very fun and polished game!
Always having to move toward your shoot direction took me a while to get used to but it worked great once I figured it out. Death animations and screen transitions would have been a nice touch but everything else looked good! In the future I would recommend ignoring mouse inputs for the first second or so a new screen pops up as I accidently skipped the upgrade and result screen a few times from shooting.

really liked the boss fight. ;)Fun game with a great premise!
I think automatic fire when holding the shoot button would have been better tough, as continuously clicking the shoot button got a bit tiring after a while. The game ran perfectly in my browser but I would recommend removing the quit button for a web build.
All in all a great result for the jam. :D
Thanks! :)
Yeah I agree, I’ll take this as a lesson to start implementing sounds asap in the future. I’ve always been adding sounds at the very end for some reason but this time I was so busy fixing bugs that I only realized they were still missing after the submission deadline. The fact that audio is a distinct category makes me a bit worried now 😅
The game looks really intriguing but I can’t get past the first room. The only thing visible are the lamps on the celling, there seem to be walls everywhere and I can’t seem to interact with anything. What am I missing?
I’m on my PC right now but I will try it out again on my MacBook later in case it’s just a problem with the web build.
Very nice game with beautiful graphics and a fun core mechanic!
I was really impressed with the solid level progression and thought the mechanics were introduced well and used in interesting ways. Having the game be segmented but still feel like one long continuous level also was a good choice! (I would change the wording of the pause button from “restart level” to “load last checkpoint” tough, I was really scared to press it. xD)
I collected almost all the coins on my first run and went back for the few I missed right away. Don’t wanna spoil but I think the reward you had for collecting them was pretty cool. :)
If I had to criticise something I thought instantly dying from spikes even when walking into them from the side as well as one part of the level where enemies would fall on your head were a little frustrating. I also encountered some bugs in one room full of boxes in particular where you could get stuck in between them and they would sometimes slide to the side and make it impossible to pass. Overall, everything worked quite smoothly tough.
