This game really cool, I loved bonking the critters it was super satisfying, all the progression was done very well and the art & sounds were amazing. Also the game looked very polished in about every way, It's actually my favorite game from this jam. Great job!

Developer

Thank you! I can say the same about your game, definitely top 3 at the minimum for me so far.

My forearm is dying XD
Very fun idea, polished game, nice job!

Cool to see statistics as well

Developer

Thank you. :)

Really cool game! Loved how polished this is! I'd love to learn how you did those UI transitions and small animations, like, just awesome stuff. For me, the unique thing is that, after I bought my first skill, the whole store reset to 0 (which might be intended, but I found it somewhat frustrating).
Other than that, awesome.

Developer(+1)

Yeah so the skill tree does reset your game when you get a skill. Its meant to add more playtime, I just ran out of time to fully balance so like resting isn’t really worth it lol. It’s something I plan to fix after the nam tho.

I’m glad you liked the UI! UI is actually one of my favorite things. Since you were wondering how I did some of the effects, for example for the buttons, I made a scene for a custom button where the root node was a button and I added some tweens for when the mouse enters, exited, pressed, and released, all changing the scale of the button. I also added some sound effects so they are built into my custom button. Then I can just use my custom button scene for UI n stuff. If you have anymore questions tho, feel free to ask!

Really great entry! Gameplay, visuals, and audio all feel really polished and well thought out. I like the skill tree mechanic and how it encourages replayability, and the accessibility and quality of life features throughout are much appreciated. I do think the critical hit sound is just a bit too loud - it genuinely startled me the first time I heard it.

Really nice work!

Developer

Yeah, I think it sounds pretty cool when you hit a crit for the first time, but like once you get one every 2 seconds, then it’s a lot of sound lol. Maybe I can even add a volume slider for annoying sounds

A really great enjoy. This is a really polished game not just the gameplay but the UI transitions as well. I kept playing until I purchased all the upgrades and the level devolved into chaos! It's a nice touch to have a window showing your player stats as well (time played, money spent etc).

Developer

Yay, Im glad you liked the stats tab! It took me hours to get it working right lol

Submitted(+2)

I love the visuals for this one, and everything is polished to such a high standard! Very addicting gameplay loop, it took me a second to realize that there were two tabs for upgrades, so for a few minutes I was just bonking the one ant over and over, but I quickly figured that out and then things just exploded in numbers lol! Awesome work!

Developer

Ah yeah, I think I should add a tutorial or a little pop-up to tell people there are different tabs. Thank you though :)

Developer

Maybe I should draw 3D buttons for more intuitive design. :)

Much too good omg!

Thank you!

I didn't think I was a fan of clicker games. I was wrong. This was so much fun! One of my top games of this jam. Well done!

Developer(+1)

Haha, Im glad you enjoyed it!

Loved it! This was very polished and well executed. You managed to make a large amount of content, even if it is a little unbalanced.

The only issue I noticed is that, while your stats, upgrades, and settings are saved, your skill tree is not. Aside from that, this was very well done. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, I’m glad that there’s only one minor bug with the skill tree. I’m not sure why it doesn’t save, though, it must be something with the web build because it should work fine on the Windows build

love the ideas and graphics. It's a lot polished, love that

Just 1 consideration, the top menu where you click the various upgrade it tooks me a while to understand that I can click on the "footprint" button to unlock more stuff

Developer

Yeah, that seems to be pretty common, so that’s def something I’ll have to add, like a little notifier to, to let players know there is something there

Oh... This is dangerous. This is hitting the absolute same parts of my brain that risk of rain hits...

Seriously, you have done such a good job on this. Every aspect seems like it has been well considered! I'm a big fan of the incremental pitch increase on a bonk, and that crit sound is just perfection.

A job well done to both of you, you've produced pure addiction and i'm gonna gobble me down some more!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, I’m glad you liked it! I just kept adding more and more polish until it became super satisfying lol

Yeah this was way too much fun. This is the sort of game I can sit and play for hours. Congrats on stealing a small part of my life. Great work though, really well done.

Developer

Thank you :)

Loved this one!

This was so fun!  I played for quite a while, just locked in bonking bugs.  I was impressed with the polish of it all, an idle game with prestige, helper AI, and all the juice of the bugs splatting and the hammer noise getting higher on consecutive hits, all very impressive.  I did feel some of the balance issues, I wasnt totally clear why I should prestige and when I did I had to do it 3x to use my 3 skill points, plus it felt a little underwhelming after prestige and like it was gonna take a long time to get back where I started.  Overall really awesome work!

This game is really fun and polished! The animations  and sound effects went really well together giving a satisfying feel each time you hit a bug lol. I think if progression was a little faster and I got too see a variety in bugs a little earlier I could definitely see myself playing this for hours! I also enjoyed trying it cause it had a few parallels to my own  game like the clicking on critters for coins/upgrade shop mechanics. Overall, good job!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Okay this is a super polished game and that's so impressive considering the tight turnaround. It even supports save files - wow. This taught me a lot about game design + scoping progression mechanics under time constraints. Thank you for the fun game! I managed to 100% it in 30 minutes.

One suggestion I'd have is to pump up the player damage in the final upgrades to turn them into screen-clearing, million+ damage nukes. Right now helpers quickly outscale player bonks, I'd imagine most players leave their player damage upgrades for the very end once they're maxed out on everything else, at which point there's so much on the screen it does't make any difference. Giving them that last boost would be super satisfying + probably extend the end game by a couple more minutes.

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed the game! Thank you for the suggustions. We were planning on more skills that would boost the power of the hammer, for example, a lightning shock ability for the hammer, where, when you click, you have a chain reaction of lightning that bounces off enemies. We just sadly ran out of time.

Nice game and very cute design. The music is a bit repetitive but good job ! :)

Developer

Thank you! I agree about the music, I had to find it last minute. I hope we'll make new original music after the jam that will be less repetitive.

Art is cute and perfect for a casual game like this one. The UI is really good, but i didn't sea immédiately the other panel to shop. I also love the hammer sound effect for some reason. There was a lot to do with all the upgrades and critters available. Good job

Developer

Thank you!

This game is super cute! Hitting critters with a mallet is hilarious - love the variety of bugs as well. The first few minutes I played progress felt suuuper slow - but that's only because I didn't realize there was a second tab I could buy stuff. Once I discovered that things really sped up and became fun!

Well done! I played all the way to the end until there were no more upgrades.

Developer

Thank you for your nice comment! I am happy you liked it :)
