Love this adventure! I’m about to start running Cursed Scroll #3 from Shadowdark, this will fit in perfectly to the setting!
Thank you!! Please report back if you use it :-)
The colors are gorgeous, and I greatly appreciate the mobile friendly PDF- so considerate & useful. Very thematic & metal- at one point I forgot this wasn’t a BORG module! The Dragon fight at the end seems tough, but surely that amount of treasure is worth it. The only thing I’d have changed was making some of those random washed-up swords into magic items. Great work!
Thank you for your kind words! I’ve never actually played a BORG system; if I ever run this maybe I will use one.
I definitely wanted to make some of the swords magic, but between my lack of space on the page and the last-minute nature of my entry, I didn’t have room. I encourage anyone who might play it to do so!
I love the color scheme. What a gorgeous package.
A great intriguing initial situation and a very interesting small dungeon, but I'm not sure I see how players can resolve the problem. If they need to bury all the soldiers, as per the legends, that feels like it involves freeing the undead dragon to do so. (Or maybe that's the intention here.) At least there's not really 10,000 of them, as per the legend!
Extremely atmospheric and metal.
This practically cries out to be used in conjunction with Shadowdark's Midnight Sun issue of Cursed Scroll.
Thank you! Yeah, it was supposed to be pretty open-ended. PCs might find it enough to simply explain the cause of the swords / draugr to the locals, or they might try to somehow seal the iceberg or prevent the eruption of the volcano. I do agree that it might be a bit too open-ended, though.
Another person said the same thing about Cursed Scroll; I have that zine but I never actually read it! I will have to do so. Please report back if you ever end up using this with CS!
Ültimate ümlauts. I dig the old school blue and white. Suberb formatting and art. Appropriately RE Howard, but taken to x-tremes.
Thank you :-)
Really like the NPCs in the dungeon, especially the Berserker. This is a very good little adventure.
Thank you!
A really nice pamphlet style adventure. I love that blue color and the layout makes it really easy to read.
Thank you! I was worried about it being too blue but glad it worked :-)
Excellent concept. I want to play this NOW. Well done.
That’s very kind of you, thanks! If you do play it, I would love to hear from you.
super easy read and beautiful. Every aspect is well done and supports the theme.
Thank you so much :-)
Love the vibe. Looks like the prophecy is coming true. Will work in any arctic/ Nordic campaign. I think it can be a town over from the one in my mod.
Great job!
Haha, I didn’t realize until I reviewed yours that we both had a jökull in our modules! They absolutely could be neighbors, and I think they could offer a nice contrast in tone. If I ever end up running my module in a campaign, I’ll put yours next door :-)
Thanks for the kind words!
This looks great. I loved the art and found the premise great. I did struggle reading it without printing it as my reader didn't auto format for brochure.
Thank you! That’s a good point; I’ve just uploaded another PDF with 6 individual pages. Not print-friendly, since each page is so long and skinny, but should be more ideal for your phone/computer :-)
I really like the trifold format; I find it very practical. The adventure itself looks fun and has a very successful Nordic setting. The predominant blue color gives it a very cool old-school touch. Nice work!
Thank you! Let me know how it looks if you end up printing it :-)
24 mins before the deadline! This looks great, would be fun to play- the dragon tunnel is a good touch.
Thank you!
This is stellar! Love the theme and tone, immediately immersive and evocative. Looks very playable too, seems like an easy thing to get to the table and even easier to get players hooked with. Excellent work, and the formatting/design is beautiful, can't wait to print out a copy!
Your words are very kind, thank you so much :-) I actually haven’t been able to print this out yet; if you do print it please let me know how it goes / if there are any issues!
great adventure.
thank you! :-)
