Loved playing this! Was super cute and the recipes clicked very well, having the dishes go around the loop made it frantic in a good way when trying to get the right dish to the right customer, very nice work!

I love playing this, it's a bit like Overcooked, but very relevant. I had a lot of fun playing it, it's very interesting in every way!!

That was a fun game, although didn't finish it unfortunately, restarting from first level was just a bit too slow for me sorry. But from what I played it was good fun, interesting twist on cooking games for sure, well done!

I played this on stream, here is the highlight in case you find watching first playthough useful:

This was great :D The difficulty ramp got steep but I felt prepared by the earlier levels. I really enjoyed the mechanic and I think there's plenty of opportunities for expanding on the core idea. Great job :D

Pretty cute, loved Zuma Deluxe as a kid. Level 3 seemed like a pretty big difficulty spike? Both girlfriend and I breezed through the first two levels and then got absolutely destroyed. Wouldn't mind base throwing speed to be a little higher. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our time with this game, though :)

This was nice! I got a bit screwed over by some bad luck in the later levels, but I had a nice time until the game ran out of rice. I actually found the act of having to aim ingredients at moving targets instead of just preparing food a nice change of pace from the usual restaurant games. I'd recommend adding in a bit of a weighting system for the food spawns, that way you cant go too long without getting one type of ingredient. Other than that, good job!

The game actually uses a shuffled bag of ingredients, similar to how tetris shuffles pieces so you don't get the same piece too many times in a row. But you're right on the money, I do need to rig the ingredients more in your favor so you don't fail due to a draught of the ingredient you need. There's 2 sets of ingredients in the bag, so maybe with a single set it would be more reliable?

I think that'd be the right way to go!

Very cute and delicious concept! I love food-based games, and reminds me of things like the lickitung minigame and overcooked. I really enjoyed the main gameplay loop of combining items for recipes and pleasing customers, it was very satisfying. And the beginning levels were very forgiving and easily taught the player how things worked. I also really liked the splash menu page and thumbnail/logo art.

Some feedback for if you work on it more. I wish losing just reset the level and not the entire game. It felt bad to lose my progress and tedious to redo levels that are easy to practice the harder level again. It made me quit earlier than I wanted. I didn’t get past level 3 with the cucumbers. I don’t think the roguelike wrapping is necessary, and feel it hurts the game design. Rather than provide random power-ups that the player may not even understand yet, I felt this game’s mechanics are better suited to simply introducing new abilities with each level to teach them new complexities of the mechanics bit by bit in a curated way. Maybe also separate shop for consumable abilities and things that aren’t really needed but fun to have. And some polish nitpicks like it would be nice to have some visual/SFX feedback for things like when customers are losing patient, leave, get hit by items and upset, or are happy etc..

Thanks for the elaborate feedback. It's much appreciated. I personally disagree about not making the game a roguelike, the abilities feel powerful and go hand in hand with the genre. I will concede that the overall difficulty ended up being too harsh for a jam game, while the first couple levels are too easy, so the balance is off (hard to judge for a hastily made jam game). I'm not saying roguelike is the only way to go, the game concept is flexible and could be taken a lot of different directions, but it's the direction I stand by.

It’s a relaxing and soothing game that plays really smoothly. The eating sound effects are also pretty fun!

I wish losing didn't send you back to the main menu, but I liked how the challenge ramped up especially when cucumbers came in.

Fun game, I like the sound effects and the recipe idea. Reminds me of overcooked! Great job!

The individual mechanics aren’t new, but they’re combined in a really great way. Nice game, and music is well fitted :)

I'm into this.

There are a lot of recipes, and it was hard to remember them all, though that might be your plan. I think it should take more than one customer not getting their order for you to have to restart. The whole game couldn't quite fit on my screen, even with a maximized window.

I got to the third level and then a cat was upset because he didn't have his cucumber fast enough. 😾

I like the cat customers. Creative interpretation of the theme. Could be better than Zuma! I would play more.

The art is fantastic - made me want some sushi! The recipes made sense and I liked that I could turn a completed recipe into something else.

SUPER cute. Love the art and concept! Definitely felt a bit lost juggling all the recipes later on tho, it'd be great to have a reminder on the side haha

A simple but very pleasant game with fantastic art. Thanks for your work!

Great game! I am especially bad at remembering the recipes, got chaotic quick. The powerup/perk system really adds a lot to the game!
