Thanks for the feedback and for enjoying the project!

The first room? I'm curious how you got softlocked? And Im' glad you enjoyed it. Re made the dialogue using Yarn and it looked pretty simple to engage with!

Gorgeous game with amazing chill vibes... For what is 100% a rage game LOL THE GAME HASNT FINISHED LOADING BY THE TIME MY HUMAN FALLS CMONNNNN.

Rage aside this game is funny and fun!

The idea was sort of meant to be that the role reversed was compared to a normal adventurer who would be caught in a large number of traps or fighting skeletons, since you're the one tackling the dungeon it's more of a stealth puzzler. I feel like if we had added a bit more into it we could have hit that idea but we ran out of time for that.

Yeah I don't think there are any real softlocks? I did try to keep that in mind when making the basic puzzles. The only one would be the bridge glitch in the pit room and I think it's technically able to be removed from?

Glad you liked it!

Definitely a bit counter-intuitive but in some ways a bit simpler! It worked out for the best I think!

Yeah that extra time is what did us in but SFX was the next thing on the list for if we were to continue, with a lighting system coming up shortly after that (before we started looking at an extra level or more mechanics down the line)

I got a runtime error which led to a literal runtime error haha. I wasn't able to redo the script after messing it up so I got softlocked! It's so cute tho and I love the voice acting in it! This is one of, if not the best, games I've seen so far!

I'm a simple man. I see cute gobbo I click. Very fun experience!

Very solid game, very fun. I found myself playing over and over to try and get it to work and to get good at the mechanics

Love the idea here and especially the art style! So much fun through these rough puzzles!

I'm glad you enjoyed it and liked the gimmicks! Gimmicks make the game haha

Thank you so much for the feedback and enjoying it!

This was made in Unity using their 2D engine. It was my first time actually messing with the 2D side or the tilemapping so there is some ugliness like you mentioned with the bridge ^^; I usually do 3D but figured it'd be too hard to try and get art for that together in a game jam set of time!

Very cute character and dialogue. Did run into a slight issue of falling out the map tho haha. Didn't end up seeing full game but love the idea!

Love the art and the fast paced gameplay!

Very beautifully made! Took me a moment to figure out that I was changing bodies but I got it by the second one!

Took a minute to understand but very cute and very enjoyable!

Simple and fun! Loved the cute little monsters too!

Very difficult to understand what's needed to happen but I love the concept overall!

This is a TOUGH game! Very enjoyable and I love the concept tho! I couldn't ever make it to the fish but... I'll make it sometime!

Love the visuals and sound! Was a bit confused when I died the first time but playing again makes it a lot more obvious haha

Very beautiful game! Enjoyed the experience in its entirety and was laughing at the results of the options chosen!

Feels very similar to Backpack Hero from the idea of managing but much more frantic and chaotic! I wish there was a bit of latency so I could read what was happening but I found myself juggling the backpack more often than that! Great experience tho!

Yeah that's super fair! I think the original idea was going to be to have a UI element that would show what you last interacted with? Now that I'm rested from the jam I actually think I know how I'd do that, with like... an additional camera pointing at it showing on the HUD to show its state. Or even just a symbol of on or off for the switches. We ran out of time for that and a few other polish things but I'm glad you enjoyed the experience!

Yeah I think we hit a pretty okay balance with puzzles on this one, given the lack of indicators and short gameplay!

Thank you!

That's very flattering! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you!

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Glad you enjoyed the experience!

Yeah we really had to lay on the charm for fun dialogue if you lost given how long it was I feel! My favorite getting caught is definitely to OSHA inspector LOL

Played it again and while the gifs didn't really help that much I did realize what my issue last time was (it's a wonder what sleep and a break from doing ratings will do for you).

The amount you moved the room in the last room is stored between rooms, and importantly is also limited. So my invisible wall when I got to the first real room was just that I needed to push up against the wall on the right to reset my movement, before going left. It just wasn't super intuitive with that!

Oh let me take a look again and see if that helps my experience at all!

What?!? I need to sleep! I'm only hu- I mean uh... Yes boss.

Welp. Time to replay just for that LOL

Definitely, but it did lead to chaos and enjoyment!

I think also having maybe on the left or right of the screen a little acknowledgement of what the stats actually are could be cool. Something like I have 1 star in Health or 2.5 stars in Damage for myself, and on the other side the same for the enemies. Just to have some idea of the value changes (if this were to be expanded into a more in depth game, which I think could be a lot of fun)

Well drawn and well sounded! Some of these puzzles really really stumped me but it was enjoyable as an experience!

Yeaaaaaaah we decided not to fix that bug cause who in their right mind would do that *pointed stare* LOL

It's actually also not a soft lock! If you throw one north and just don't have any other boomerangs out (they collide with themselves and delete each out) then you can reactivate the bridge! Glad you enjoyed it tho!

Very neat, very cute, very fun! I had a great experience with this in total!

(1 edit)

This is the cutest gacha game I've ever played... Which is most likely due to my lack of gacha games played (They have some insane art I've seen) but THIS IS SUPER SUPER CUTE! I love all the characters! The puzzles are fun too!
