I like the concept, really nice game!

Very interesting concept! Loved the gameplay, and the simple visuals and music. It was interesting to try to randomize the world.

Developer

Thanks!

I like the use of the theme a lot. It would also be a great setup for a horror game. I find navigating 3D spaces in games difficult, let alone 4D. Maybe a map for noobs like me would be useful. Also nice user name!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Funny enough, I did briefly consider making it a horror game — the sideways looping could get real creepy with the right atmosphere

I get you on the navigation part — a map or some sort of guiding system would definitely help players ease into 4D-ish thinking.

Great interpretation of the theme! I never would’ve thought of a 'loop' this way!

Developer

Thanks!

Really cool concept!

Thanks!

the idea so cool, I want to try it in my future game.

If possible, can you please rate my game and leave a comment too.

Developer

Thanks! That means a lot — would be awesome to see your take on sideways looping in a future game!

I went and played your game after reading this comment, and I loved it — I’ll make sure to leave a rating and comment too 😊

I think the idea of going to different timelines is interesting, and the game looks pretty cool.

I do have some feedback: sometimes, switching to a different timeline immediately spawned me inside a laser and I died. It would be nice to be able to see a preview of what's in the next timeline so I don't spawn in lasers. Also, every level starts with the game paused.

Other than that solid effort!

Developer

Thanks so much! Really glad you liked the concept and the visuals!

Yeah, spawning into lasers is definitely rough 😅 — I originally leaned into that risk as part of the “unknown timeline” challenge, but I totally get how a preview or warning would help. Also, thanks for pointing out the level-start pause thing — that one slipped past me during the rush.

Appreciate the kind words and the detailed feedback! 🙏

Yeah no problem hope you can work on this game more to make it into a full experience!

By the way, would you like to try my game too?

Thanks a lot — I’d love to expand on this and polish it up post-jam!

Fun fact: the original idea was actually set in a research facility where you’d shift between alternate timelines to solve puzzles — same space, slightly different realities. It was less maze-like and more about noticing subtle changes. I had to scale it down a lot due to time, but the sideways-looping mechanic survived!

And yes, I’d love to try your game too!

Oh that sounds really cool! Kind of like portal. I'd definitely wanna try that. And my game is https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2025/rate/3772274

I backed up in corners when i changed timeline, just to be safe, so I never died.
To me, the risk of dying in a game can be a part of what makes it fun (which my own game also leans heavily on).
Just to bring an alternative viewpoint on the lasers.

This was very interesting! Got stumped on level 3!!!

Developer

Thanks for playing — really glad you found it interesting! Hope you crack that maze soon 😄

I really love the mazes, really enjoyable concept

Developer

Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoyed the mazes — I had a lot of fun designing them. Super happy the concept clicked with you!

Great concept. It would be nice to be able to go back and forth between the timelines instead of having to go through all of them to go to the one you where before (although this would kinda break the loop thing) but still a fun puzzle game. The pause menu is a bit bugged, at least in the HTML version.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! I’m really glad you enjoyed the concept. I totally get what you mean about being able to go back — it would definitely make navigation smoother, even if it bends the whole "sideways loop" idea. Unfortunately, I can’t update anything until the jam ends, and I didn’t get to playtest the web version as much as I wanted — ran out of time near the end 😅. Appreciate you pointing out the pause menu bug though — I’ll make sure to fix it post-jam!

Really enjoyed the game. I was hoping for a secret on the 3rd level, I got stuck in a bunch of 1x1 squares wondering where it was going. Cool concept also.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the review! I thought of adding something over there but ended up forgetting it lol

This is a really cool concept! Good interpretation of the theme!

Developer

Thanks so much! Glad the concept clicked with you — I had a lot of fun interpreting the theme in a slightly different way 😊

Fun fact: this is actually a simplified version of a bigger idea I had, where you’d shift between timelines inside a research facility, solving mysteries across slightly different versions of the same space. Might still revisit that someday!

At some point, I was just wandering, spamming T in the hope that a path would open. Maybe some hint or map is needed to guide the player better, or perhaps I’m just bad at it :)

Great concept anyway!

Developer(+1)

Originally, the game was set in a semi-open research facility with a slightly confusing but navigable layout. The core idea was still about jumping between timelines — you'd shift between slightly different versions of the same space to find paths, solve puzzles, and uncover what changed. Looping sideways wasn’t just a mechanic — it was how you made progress.

It was a cool concept, but also pretty complex and time-consuming to make. So I trimmed it down to focus on what works best for now.

Maybe one day I’ll return to the original version — but for now, I hope you enjoyed this loop!

wow what a neat concept! a solid puzzle game concept - could see it evolving into something great, makes me think of a 4d fez ;)

the theming is very minimalistic but gives  a really neat sci-fi vibe, music's fun and a good fit. the writing in the description is cool too, you could add some of that to the game itself.

only complaint is i had some technical issues with slowdown and the pause menu popping up at every level

amazing!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a ton! Really appreciate you checking it out — 4D Fez is honestly a perfect comparison

Fun fact: the original idea was actually set in a research facility where you’d shift between alternate timelines to solve puzzles — same space, slightly different realities. It was less maze-like and more about noticing subtle changes. I had to scale it down a lot due to time, but the sideways-looping mechanic survived!

The sci-fi vibe was kind of accidental, to be honest — mostly just a result of me not having many assets 😅 But I’m glad it still came through in a cool way.

Totally fair on the slowdown and pause menu — it was my first time exporting to web from Godot, and I rushed it at the last moment, so it turned out pretty unoptimized. Definitely learned a lot for next time.

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback!
