You're welcome!
By the way, it would be awesome if you can also rate my game! :)
This is almost perfect! The only problem I have is that in one level, the one where you introduce the one that skips the next sound, I won even though I think I didn't have the correct solution? It always skipped the blue circle but it still counted as a win. It would also be a nice quality of life improvement if you can move elements you put down after you put them in the wrong location instead of having to press R to restart. Other than that, this game is perfect. I definitely deserves to be in the GMTK video!
It's an interesting idea to use the game of life for a game, but there is some feedback I'd like to give. It seems that the main goal in your eyes is to make the player figure out "the rules". But if someone doesn't know what the game of life is, they can probably never figure that out on their own, I think. Even if you do vaguely know what the game of life is, it can be hard to figure out the exact rules. If I had made this game, I would have first explained the rules of the game of life to the player, and then ask them to find a solution that survives the 100 iterations. That's challenging enough, I think.
interesting experience. I do have some feedback though:
Other than that pretty good! :)
The art and audio create a very liminal atmosphere! I just wasn't really sure where to go? I think for a game jam game, it's important to make it clear as soon as possible what the point / goal of the game is. Maybe that's something to improve int he future! :)
Other than that, very interesting experience!
