I think the idea of going to different timelines is interesting, and the game looks pretty cool.

I do have some feedback: sometimes, switching to a different timeline immediately spawned me inside a laser and I died. It would be nice to be able to see a preview of what's in the next timeline so I don't spawn in lasers. Also, every level starts with the game paused.

Other than that solid effort!

Thanks so much! Really glad you liked the concept and the visuals!

Yeah, spawning into lasers is definitely rough 😅 — I originally leaned into that risk as part of the “unknown timeline” challenge, but I totally get how a preview or warning would help. Also, thanks for pointing out the level-start pause thing — that one slipped past me during the rush.

Appreciate the kind words and the detailed feedback! 🙏

Yeah no problem hope you can work on this game more to make it into a full experience!

By the way, would you like to try my game too?

Thanks a lot — I’d love to expand on this and polish it up post-jam!

Fun fact: the original idea was actually set in a research facility where you’d shift between alternate timelines to solve puzzles — same space, slightly different realities. It was less maze-like and more about noticing subtle changes. I had to scale it down a lot due to time, but the sideways-looping mechanic survived!

And yes, I’d love to try your game too!

Oh that sounds really cool! Kind of like portal. I'd definitely wanna try that. And my game is https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2025/rate/3772274

I backed up in corners when i changed timeline, just to be safe, so I never died.
To me, the risk of dying in a game can be a part of what makes it fun (which my own game also leans heavily on).
Just to bring an alternative viewpoint on the lasers.
