How does your game fit the theme?
In Shredmill, you skate across an endless, crumbling loop. With every lap, more of the track collapses behind you, turning the loop ahead into a perilous deathtrap.

Keep it up! Great work!

I would love your rating to my game!

Keep improving, you’re doing awesome!

damn bro, that's a really good game compared to mine

This was very well made! There's a lot of interesting risk-reward aspects to consider, such as the repairs also restoring the spikes you have to dodge.

Very fun. Very creative. If there was a single gripe, I wish that the shop had a few more items, but cmon the game is already super replayable already. Great work yall, and congrats on being showcased on the Itch youtube!.

Love the jumping feel on the 2d top down look. I like how in every loop,  there's a different kind of map you have to beat based on your own funny decisions.

Very nice artwork, polish, gameplay. I like the concept of reusing the same world over and over, and you choose how hard to make it, in a way.

Super fun! I love how the floor just breaks when overlapping in the loops!

Very creative idea that makes every loop a different experience. I don't realize that I should constantly jump to minimize the floor I touch before reading the comments. The items and upgrades are great. Enjoy playing it so much. Moving backwards (downwards) is a little bit confusing and counter-intuitive, I need time to get used to it. Fullscreen blocks a few text at the bottom.

Yooooo this is so polished, the art and gameplay and everything feels good, love the concept, Only nitpick I have in the jump upgrade, instantly makes jumping more confusing to me, maybe it should just be about keeping you airborne longer if hold the jump button otherwise it would be like a normal jump again? Idk just spitballing this was a really good entry one of the coolest ones ive played great job!

Have come back to try this a number of times since the first. Just incredible. I really think this could live as a switch/steam game with like 5 more shop items and a couple more enemies (I'd buy it as-is). Really special. A lock for the round up vid.

Loved the music! Having to pick your path carefully to make sure there was a path for the next loop made a really engaging and fun gameplay cycle. Fun idea, and super well executed for a jam! Also kudos to whoever did the animated splash art it captures the concept perfectly

Got a similar idea, but your execution is just outstanding! Amazing work, mate!

grooooovy music, sweet gameplay. i just wish that my health was nearer to my character so i didn't have to keep darting my eyes to the corner and back again! but well done! killer!

amazing what a good team can get done in 4 days - i could see this being sold on steam right now. a nice touch that i really like is the way item introductions are staggered over the course of a few loops.

i'm expecting to see this one in a certain video very soon ;o)

Now I remember: you’re the team of the switch game the other jam! The concept is pretty cool, I like the idea of a map you directly influence on every loop, and the addition of powerups is very smart since it adds extra diversity and spice at each loop. Also the market feels balanced (maybe I wouldn’t take the magnet for 15 coins).

The only issue I had is that for optimal play you had to constantly jump, but didn’t feel like a main feature - so the player has to constantly keep pressing the jump button for optimal gameplay. I think that would help for example having a “trick” mechanic that complements the jumps, but it’s only an idea.

Overall, a pretty solid entry, good job!

hey thanks a lot for the feedback and video, appreciate it!

- how much you think the magnet should cost?

- would like to hear more about the tricks idea, what was in your mind?

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I would say 10 for the magnet? Since you usually don't miss more than 10 coins in a run, but might still be useful to get the powerups, even if that's usually what a player goes for anyway.

And regarding the tricks I said it without having ideas, it was more a though. But for example having a coin bonus to encourage the  player to keep a certain behavior (example in the example: jumping too often gives you less points since you're repeating the same trick, and you're incentivized to slide on the map instead). But it's a completely new concept, and for the game jam the game works as it is - it's mainly a nitpick on the player having to constantly jump.

Developer(+1)

once again thanks!

I don't even think that's always the case as when you jump 4 blocks get damaged on landing so it is useful only when you have the double jump.

I was jamming like crazy props to the one who made the music. The gameplay loop is very fun, and the actual idea was good as well. Great work yall, a good looking, fun game that's enjoyable to listen to.

Insane work! Great job guys!

Wow, this was the most fun game I've played in the jam! Enjoyed every second, and all the game design decisions game together perfectly - the road disappearing over loops, the shop at each loop, the controls! You could release this as a finished product today! Great job :)

Cool visual style, love the bold color choice and cool idea with blocks disappearing (i had a somewhat similar idea but in a 2D platformer style). I have little bad to say about this other than the player could maybe be slightly lower on the screen? I felt it made it a bit harder to see what was incoming, but i'm old and slow so could be me. Great work!
