Nice game! while it is a little frustrating, it's fun to try to memorize the obstacles and figure out how to avoid them

"Rage inducing" is the correct warning. Nice idea! The first levels nicely introduced a new mechanic. Level 6 and 7 were quite frustrating, as the player moved very slowly and retrying took a lot of time. Still, rangefun as promised ;)
Not my type of game. Got pretty frustrating, in a not fun way, when it was unclear when traps would trigger.
i wanna die vibe. what others have already said: when you get hit, it showed the scene where it didnt touch you. music is too happy for the amount of rage there is.
About the implementation of the "LOOP" theme, I wish that it was more than just playing the "same" level with extra difficulty.
The physics leaves a bit to desire, perhaps because of the web port, but also because it feels floaty, not so responsive.
Assets are pretty basic, nothing to write home about...
Pretty cool game, just wishing that there's a better interpretation of the "LOOP" theme.
Good stuff!
Made it to level 6 and gave up ;-;
While I see how this game uses the loop mechanic, I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of games where you are arbitrarily punished for doing nothing wrong. It just feels a little unfair when you land and a spike suddenly pops up. :(
Really good game ! Got me pretty frustrated but that's the goal lol
Fun game made me pull my hair out lmao. Reminded me of those "impossible" games on mobile that just do stupid unpredictable things to throw you off
I love difficult platformers but I'm not a big fan of these games that make you play a level multiple times to learn where the traps are so it wasn't for me. That said, I beat every single level except 6 which after a lot of tries I could not figure out how to get past the final spike, on the hander hand I beat level 7 on my second try.
I like the simple art and the audio served it's purpose. I haven't played many games yet but this is the first one where the audio felt deliberate and the music didn't just annoy me. Initially I did not like the player movement or how floaty the jumping was but I quickly realized that it was necessary which in turn ended up making me appreciate the floaty jumps.
I know there is a market for these kinds of games so I'm not going to let my taste yuk that but I will say that the collisions on the spikes need to be perfect. I died a couple of times because the collisions were off and it was very obvious that there was still space between my character and the spike.
Hi, thanks for the feedback. For the collisions I had made sure that collider size is lesser than the actual size of the spike to give some room for error to the player but somehow unity is registering hits before rendering them I suppose. But that is not happening for most of the cases so decided to not focus on it.
If you wanted to frustrate, then the mechanics are on point.
But from a game design pov, try to frustrate in a way that's the player doesn't blame the game, but rather blame themselves. The best level was the one where the spikes move on the ground, it's a threat the player can perceive, and if they die, it's on them. The random hidden holes and spikes are just bogus barriers that the player needs to go through, and do not add meaningful challenge.
I will be rating the enjoyment based off how frustrating it is---yes. Really enjoyable and get my character to have schizophrenia half of the time haha. Overall a really classic and well created rage game!
I loved the gameplay mechanic and I wish you could experiment more with the spikes movement. Different spike movement/mechanics could be a nice little addition. The audio was amazing(Although I was raging through the way). Most of my belongings remain undamaged although I did throw my earbud about 2 meters far.
Great job!
Albeit a bit frustrating. There were times where I would get stuck on the wall whilst falling, I notice you made the game in Unity so next time you should add a 2d physics material with 0 friction and assign it to the rigidbody of the player. The level skip button made it up for the times I should have passed so I'll give you that. Overall I had a blast playing this!
It's a rage game, I raged, I guess that makes it good?
The jump is ludicrously floaty though, and the music and SFX annoying.
