How does your game fit the theme?
Duckbound fits the theme "Just Get Started" both in story and gameplay. The game starts you with nothing but a duck companion, and you have no choice but to just get started. As you journey through the game, you unlock new skills one by one that you can combine in battle. Whether it's in combat or in adventure, the game nudges you to just go along and see where the journey takes you.

Amazing game! I love the take on the combat and the overall direction of the game! The design, visuals, the music and sounds, and even the smoothness of the game are tied really well together. The game was short, sweet and adorable! (left me wanting moreee). I loved playing around with the different combos and seeing what it could do. Definitely one of my favorites. Props to the team! 10/10 quacks!

Omg, that's peak, I loved everything about it, the graphisms, the battle mechanics, and I loved mixed matching the different abilities! It was so pro looking, I would've never guess it was a jam game ! Really impressive!

Really impressive for 10 days wow! I really didn‘t expect a battle system in a duck game, but i should have expected it by looking closer at the name haha. My favorite foe was the snail, but everyone was so fun to fight! I love the battle system, i just wish that it was a little easier to deal damage other than parrying. I love the music (it reminded me of undertale) and the writing was super well done! Great entry!
Thank you so much!! Our composer definitely popped off and Undertale was one of our big inspirations! Also that's totally fair, do you think you would've liked to see attack moves deal more damage, or would you have liked to see more attack moves in general?

This game is pretty fun! The battle system was a little annoying at first, but besides that everything is great! The music and art fit perfectly and the flavor text was funny! This is a great game!

I think it was the difficult curve. The bat was pretty hard. I also didn't like how if you even missed one star the attacks would do full damage. It's still a great system for a game jam game!

What an INCREDIBLY charming and cute game! felt like I went back to an old N64 game with charming gimmicks and cute and funny dialogue, I really love the idea of the gameplay and love how each enemy reacts to what you do I do like combining moves and seeing what it causes its so much fun! went past my bedtime to finish this up and it was very worth it I wish it can be expanded upon it was so much fun

Really nice game loved the pixelated 3d models also the game is really polished like the buttons scale up in the main and the pause menu squish also loved the combat i managed to beat the snail and bat it was really fun overall well done.

WOw the game looks really good, and it seems like it coulld become really fun. I don't know if I'm just bad but I can't get past the first enemy. He starts first and no matter what I do I jsut die. Not sure what feedback to give, the game looks really good and it works well. Maybe more hints if you're supposed to be able to beat him. Don't know if it's a skill issue but well done anyways!

Absolutely fantastic start to an adventure, It really is OSU and Pokemon combined :D I have no crituque on art, music, or dialogue, they are fantastic, however I would say that having the order of moves change the outcome would have made a game even more complex and entertaining, I love the humor this game has and some of the enemies have really well written characther to them, like how Bat-ballerina Vivi really amazingly brags about her talent while simultaneously mocking the player who never heard of her :) The game in this state is really perfect… But I think having some sort of indicator or notebook on what combination does what would be nice if you’d like to continue working and introducing more moves or enemy “types” or maybe at some point change some of the actions so it doesn’t become repetitive :p Overall a really well made and polished game :p

What a well-made game. Everything comes together incredibly well from the visuals, gameplay, music, etc. Some feedback points would be that I noticed sometimes clicking through the dialogue for the end of the battle can flicker and show the full dialogue for a half second or glitch out. Also, you can get stuck on the stairs in the tavern when trying to go up them. I would also like to hear some more sound effects based on the combination of moves you're using when you do use them. I kinda also do wish the battles wouldn't be as long-lasting, unless that's just me not choosing options that would speed them up.
But aside from that this is very well put together, an excellent game that if your team does continue to develop I'd like to see how it comes out. Good work to everyone on the team, I hope that you all can keep up the good work to come!
Thank you so much, also left a comment on your game! Noted on the bugs, I must've missed those but will try to patch them out! Regarding the battles, did you feel like they were too repetitive after a while?
In a way it did get a bit repetitive between the attacks being more or less the same and with the most effective attack not dealing damage the first time you use it (unless what I'm presuming the combination I used weren't the most effective attacks), plus the damage being only half a heart, some of the battles do feel like they can draw out unless you can get parries off as well. That may just be a me thing though and I kinda tend to question repeatability maybe more than I should, so perhaps take this with a grain of salt since I do very much believe the game all in all is very greatly designed otherwise.

THIS GAME IS SO CUTE AND SO WELL MADE! I loved the characters designs specially the cat one (i feel bad for them i hope they find it's owner) very fun game and the battle system is very creative, i loved how you did the parrying.

This is a mesmerizing game. It is SUCH A SHAME THAT IT RELEASED AS WINDOWS ONLY. If this had a web browser version since the beginning it would be EXPLODING. Nice call on adding it later though.
Art 5 because can't be higher. If I could give you 15 points on art sure you would get them.
Fun 5 as the dialogues are fun and you have 16 different moves if my math is good and some have interactions with the enemies and the turn based with parry mechanic is SO good.
Creativity Is a bit abstract after all. Based on description of the jam:
<Did they have a super cool and interesting mechanic? Did their game perfectly fit the theme? Did playing the game make you think, “oh wow, that’s neat”?> YEA YOUR GAME DEFINITELY IS NEAT.
So sorry, I have no negatives for you. Only the browser version is pretty important for visibility so take it into account :)

Really loved the combat mechanics and that you needed to combo different attacks to do different effects. The parry mechanics were also very engaging! And the art and music were also top notch. Great job!
