That was a very fun game and very well designed boss fight! It was quite challenging but as others have said, you can learn how the attacks are and how the fight goes and eventually adapt to it. It reminds me a bit of Hollow Knight bosses where when you first start, you get destroyed and you have to fight them a couple of times to learn their pattern and eventually beat it! Great work on your first game jam!

Very fun game:3 very responsive movement,  it feels very natural. also, the attacks are well choreographed and all feel super interesting! great boss rush, truly really good :3

the gameplay loops feels really good,  the controls are responsive. the simple shapes makes so everything is very visible and well defined, the boss attacks are, while still challenging, well telegraphed /indicated. I like the decision of having to lose the first fight and then teach the player from there. Death counter and the narrator adds to the humor but I do wish I could speedup so the "die > get back" was a bit faster. could not finish the game sadly but had a lot of fun!

This is actually one of the best games I’ve played this jam! The movement of the player is very smooth, the bosses have fun attack patterns, and it’s funny how exasperated the narrator was with me (I failed many, many times). Though I agree with the other people that it would be nice to have an option to skip the narrator on the death screen.

The gameplay is very good, and the moveset of the bosses as well, the only thing I would change it's the time that takes to try again after a dead, it should have a way to skip the narrator. Other than that, the game is incredibly good, I seen the game on Discord before the deadline of the jam, so it's awesome to see it submitted. Great job!

Very awesome game, reminds me of when I used to play terraria mods. Please make a version with a boss select and a button to skip the dialog on the death screen.

nice game you made the concept of throwing the player directly to the final boss is brilliant no levels no introduction no progress just straight to the final boss although i felt the final boss is a bit too hard to beat and thats because he is constantly moving and throwing large projectiles that are hard to avoid anyways great game, if you dont mind playing my game too i would appreciate that.

I chose the name because people kept comparing my sprites to geometry dash and someone was trynna get me to name it dash bash, glad you enjoyed it!

Hello fellow offline chatter! I really enjoyed the boss rush mechanics and how each boss was different from the last! I also liked the different weapons for each boss. Did the bow have a secondary attack as it didn't seem to have one from what I could tell? I do think having some invulnerability frames if only slightly ,would help a little as I do feel sometimes i would barely get hit by a laser but get like 3-4 ticks of damage sometimes. Overall really cool game and some awesome boss fights and great job on your first jam game!

Bow does have a secondary, if you hold it you go slower and it starts rapidly shooting arrows. The lasers hitting that fast was intentional, but I suppose I could have slowed them down and increased the damage instead.

Really fun game, you nailed that ominous vibe with the text in the death screan and the intro really caught me off guard, plus the bosses were a good challenge and the detail of not having any celebration after killing them, just another black screen, really good. And the music, really well composed and hope you can share somewhere to listen to it. I had this bug, I don't know if it was a bug or intentional where I died from the lasers of the first boss and the screen was perpetually with a red tint, only disappeared after I reloaded the page. Aside from that, really fun boss rush game!

Was fun! My only thing was the camera felt very zoomed in and felt a bit claustrophobic,  made it hard to keep track of stuff sometimes

Really well done. I like the style and the constant belittling of the player xD Also the game is soo hard!  But I love it! 

Only one thing I would like to see: The ability to skip dialog such as the ... The game itself is really fast paced, so it makes the texts feel even slower. 

But I love it. Keep it up! Great work!

great sfx and camera shake. really sells the effects. i love myself a good bullet hell but i did feel the lack of i-frames quite heavily (kept trying to dodge through attacks) but a fun game nonetheless

I deliberately chose not to add iframes because most of the attacks were balanced around not being able to simply dash through them. Glad you enjoyed the game!
